JustKate not looking to say you’re right or wrong I’ve just seen over the years how many times Luke had come up slowly after big hits as well as small things on injury reports and I also remember seeing some sort of interviewing referencing how he had suffered a concussion(s) throughout his career prior to the NFL. Hopefully it really was only 3 true concussions but from my knowledge it seemed as if he truly did suffer more than 3. Also I am a panthers fan as well so I’m still upset over all of this I just hope he can live happily. Looking online I can see how you can confidently say he did only suffer those recorded in his time in the NFL. Keep pounding
I was not surprised. I was kind of expecting it last year after the seasons before concussions.
Best LB of the decade.
Really hurt to see him go but I know it’s the right choice and will always love #59!
Respect to Luke. insane athlete.
I wasn’t too surprised honestly. Concussions are scary and he’s had his share of them. Glad he is doing what’s best for himself. He’s got his whole life ahead of him and I hope for many healthy good years of retirement for him!
I like how everyone dances around the concussion discussion.
I’ll miss you Luke. I’ll miss hearing those LUUUUUUKE chants. 😢😢
He wasn't the biggest or fastest guy. But he had heart and was relentless. He was Determined. Sometimes that is all it takes. Sad to see him retire at a young age and disappointed i won't get to see him play on Sunday anymore. Hope he lands a coaching gig somewhere.
Head health, smart move.
(3:20) Being in the NFL is a privilege, not a right.
Great bit of insight. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Pat McAfee has the best seat geek ad lol now back to the magic!!!
very well said love listening to this show
Barry Sanders was a Clark Kent more than anyone else. At Oklahoma State it took the whole O-Line to get him to accept the Heisman Trophy. He would run for 300 yards and 5 TDs and the coaches had to make him come out to face the media. He also turned down Millions in advertising deals. Finally he faxed his retirement statement to a small news station in Kansas from London.
He outsmarted and beat QB's mentally presnap like no defender I have seen.
Him and Patrick Willis young HOF & still get to enjoy their lives in their prime .
In all honesty Pat, you are hilarious. But you also speak a lot of truth. Put a dash more of this in your skill set it’s refreshing
I applaud Luke for this. There’s only so many hits to the head a player can take before it starts to negatively affect them.
Dude made 110% reality! Will be missed was fun watching him play!
That ad break never gets old
We love you Luke! ❤
BY FAR the most intelligent person in any room or arena. Luke.
