Excellent movie by the same filmmaker as "Of An Age". Not a romance or a feel-good movie, but a tense drama about the growing pains of a not quite chosen, more like accidental LGBT family, but don't let this description deter you from seeing it, in the end, it is love that matters. Goran Stolevski is clearly a filmmaker to keep your eye on, he's off to a good start. As the world continues to get smaller, I am glad to see perspectives from this part of it I know little about.

Loved it so much, like Goran's previous movie "Of An Age". I felt so connected emotionally to the characters in both films, they are really intimate and precious. The cast is fantastic and Goran really knows how to give space for the actors to do their best. I will be following his future work, for sure.
The Palm Springs International Film Festival didn't have this trailer, and I was kinda "iffy" on whether I wanted to see this, but it fit into my schedule. Glad I got a ticket, because this trailer makes me want to see it now.

I hope Focus Features makes more international movies. Documentaries included in other languages. Maybe a documentary about gay in Russia or about autism in Russia. Or about autism in Ivory Coast
Focus is mostly a distributor; their foreign features are usually independently produced and acquired at film festivals. So, they don't make movies, they just select which ones they want to release by purchasing theatrical/home media/streaming distribution rights
