From my amateur eyes, the car is handling great. Stable and hugs the curves smoothly. One of my favourite laps and the owner seems to know what he is doing and loves it with passion
yes hes an engineer and like he said his companies "mission" is to build functional parts for track (that also looks good, as a second property). my experiences with them are also very good.
I believe that when driving seriously winged cars, it is much more important to experiment with the limit in safe environment, than with low downforce cars. The magic glue only works when the car is beneath adhesion limit and drops rapidly when tire loses grip. You can see it especially on formula cars, where in a slide, the cars look like they are on ice and almost like they are accelerating.
I watch Misha daily from the UK but I'm currently at the ring for the first time. Did my first lap today and now watching Misha rip round..... it has been a mega day!
When Misha is quiet he is enjoying the drive. I would imagine the 4cyl Supra handles better and brakes later with the lighter front end, 219 lbs is a lot of weight. Momentum is the name of the game. You can also turn up the boost, add a downpipe, and tune if you need an extra 75/100 hp. Nice drive!
even the MK5 2.0 has the same 50-50 weight distribution. the engine center sits behind the axle and some things are placed more back to keep 50-50 put 100KG less
@@dielaughing73 Might not be a race warm up lap, but it still isn't a flat out lap. He doesn't know the car and for at least half the lap he will be on cold tyres too. So he would be quicker on a second lap, certainly in the first half of the lap in most cases. Still, what he does is more than enough for most people that aren't used to fast speeds on a track even if they have done it themselves.
Guy was sweating when you said this is your warmup lap 😂. I think this car is perfect for the Nordschleife, looked very easy to drive and had enough grip once the tires were warm.
At 11:49 I audibly said, "WOW". I might be looking too much into this, and I only have experience in sims, but I know this feeling. The car looks like it almost turned in by itself, like it's hugging into the corner. I love that feeling. Such as: You didn't put much extra steering input, and it caught extra grip, almost turning in by itself. Also evidence by how you didn't need to use the outside curb.
Wow, this car was just got the right mod. It was so stable on straight and corner were all perfect. Great built. Misha did good as usual. Thanks for this enjoyable lap.
The jump dislodged the screw from its hiding place! Sick!! It seemed to struggle a bit in the front end cornering, tho the high speed cornering was handled okay by the suspension without the splitter. Killer R/D lap you guys, nice work! Love to see this car run a lap again with the fine tune adjustments to the aerodynamics. Cheers!
Really like this video, the car has a pretty good setup/tune to it and it shows why you don't need massive power for the Ring. Too much power causes the driver to brake too hard or become unstable under acceleration. This car is stable and goes very fast in the corners! Great lap.
Jesus ain't gonna help you, not when Misha's driving!😂 The look of relief on his face when you said you didn't need another lap😅 Misha, that's the car you want. . You were focused and we could see you thoroughly enjoyed it😊
@@TranceFur Wasn't boredom at all! He just felt very comfortable, as the car, as Misha said, was very controllable and predictable, so Misha was just relaxed and enjoying a fast chilled lap, knowing what the car would do where and when, as he said, it felt like his bmw race car, just without the wing...
I'm impressed, wondering if this 4cyl is better as a street/touge car. Of course straight line speed the 6cyl smokes this one but this one seems to be more nimble on the corner. How does this car feel compared to the GR86?
Nr. 1 in driving dynamic’s and confidence inspiring set up I’ve seen from your channel in a looong time. Gearpoints silky to….that company was a new one and a nice surprise. Thx!
I really like the fact that the owner/passenger of this „Is this a SUPRA?! 🤪“ at 8:29min realized that it would be a good idea to finally close the „helmet chin belt“ (I don’t know the proper English word for it, sorry 🤷🏻♂️)… 😂 His questions a few seconds before - „This is your warmup lap?“ was epic 😆👏 And Misha being Misha dead serious: „Yes“ 😄 Really nice lap, as always entertaining to watch and it shows quite well that even a Supra with the „small“ engine is fast… 👍 Thx @Misha and best wishes from Bavaria, Philipp 👋
amazing drive. The top speeds weren't as high, but the corner speeds were definitely higher than normal. Very balanced. Nice lap. Thank you for sharing.
Even though it is the 4 cylinder one, i enjoyed this lap, the car seems to carry alot of speed and goes through corners effortlessly. And the 4 cylinder doesn't sound too bad either 😅
I just love watching Misha go through those corners as calmly as if he were just shaving his face. I would love to have him take me around Nurburgring in my GT350 someday!
I aint no race driver, but this Supra looked like exactly the kind of car which you choose on Grant Turismo for instance, and you drive it on almost its limits right from the get go, it felt like where you point it goes, the suspension even from the video felt really good and predictive, and although it was not crazy fast accelerating, I think that it was able to keep an average speed throughout the whole track, like a car that you can rely on and drive for lots of laps, and considering it is a 4cyl and a RWD, imho really, really good.
Love this Supra ❤ What a car, what a dude & what a lap… this thing looks like it’s on rails & it absolutely boogies, carried great momentum throughout the entire lap 🫶👊💥

I don't think they went with BMW because of their i6, because for their 86 they went with a flat 4 instead of an i4. I think they went with BMW because they make so much money from spare parts, so there was probably kick backs from BMW for Toyota
Misha is the King of the Ring. No doubt about that. As Sabeen was the Queen of the ring. R.I.P. Watching that lap, that BMW Supra was so stable and so planted. It didn't have the top end of a well sorted 6, but that was made up by the handling. The car wouldn't have handled those corners as well with the heavier 6 in my opinion. Another great lap Misha.
