True, but I think they freaked out over the roach. There is never ever one lone roach. When there is one, there are hundreds, if not thousands.
And once your home is infested with roaches, they are almost impossible to get rid of....unless you get a family of possums.
There for a few days & already her room looked like a hoarder's room, plus her junk was scattered all over their home. They said "She took over the house".
I think they expected a sweet, soft-spoken, quiet young lady to rent a room, and what they got was a gross, messy hoarder who spread her clutter everywhere & was infesting their home with nasty roaches.
I think every one of the commenters being all judgy about the defendants would have done the exact same thing in their shoes.

I don’t have anything juicy 🤷🏾‍♀️😂 Judge Mathis was super laid back & chill, back then. He always seemed to have a joke or something funny to say when he saw you. 😂🥰 I interned for his show in the early 2000’s. He wasn’t as nearly “uptight” as he seems now. 😩 I usual saw him between tapings.
I screened calls, because back then there was an 800# people could call and we’d actually answer the phone - but only when the show was airing in Chicago. On those calls I took ticket requests. I also did transcripts of calls when people left messages for a possible case. And then there was other random stuff.
I liked it when they let me sit in the control room during tapings with the executive producer Bo and the shows attorney Gretchen.

Most states have laws to protect from predatory, unlawful contracts such as this. This one is extreme and violates the actual law, how any judge would uphold this contract raises more questions about them and their ability to interpret,l and discern the law as well as their ability to rule and make legally sound judgments than anything else. The fact that she enforced it is laughable. What is she thinking? This is insane. Someone check her credentials
