@@bjvu9460 that is rude.....sure she can do whatever she wants but should she? no..she is a horrible roomie/landlord. Its common courtesy to check with other people who live there before you rent out part of the house.
@bjvu9460 , Maybe you're in small claims court all the time because you don't know or understand the laws. I am a landlord, and as I'm sure 99.9% of smart landlords do, I have my tenants sign a lease. That lease pertains to all the tenants occupying the residence, and all parties are required to sign that lease. The lease is a legal, binding contract between all parties. Every lease I have ever written has specific clauses regarding overnight guests, and sub-leasing, which is exactly what the planttiff is doing. Overnight guests are not allowed for more than 4 nights total in one consecutive month and no one is allowed to sub-lease any part of the house or apartment. Unless her landlord has nothing in the lease barring her from having extended guests or sub-leasing, which I'm sure they do, she is in violation of her lease. Unless every person who she has a "contract" with was approved and authorized by the actual owner who is the only legal landlord, she has no authority to make rules for anyone. You cannot rent a house or apartment and tell the landlord that you are the only one that is going to be occupying it and therefore you pay rent based on one person living there. If the rent includes any type of utilities, (water, sewer, trash, heat, electric, etc) it is based on how many people will be using the utilities. One person is not going to use as much water or other utilities as 4 people would. Therefore the landlord would require to be notified in advance and want to approve any new tenants that may be occupying the unit. The planttiff has absolutely no rights to collect any money from anyone who is not a documented lease holder with the legal landlord and can be evicted immediately and sued by the landlord for the extra rent and utilities that they may have collected from her due to the illegal subleasing. Just because she holds a lease doesn't give her the right to act like a landlord for others she chooses to bring into the property. All the rent collected from tenants is due to the legal landlord, that is why we don't allow subleasing. She was charging her roommates $900.00 a month plus 1/4 of the utilities that she stated were gas and electric. That no doubt means that the landlord was paying the water, sewer, and trash every month, and she was probably collecting at least 2-3 times what her actual rent was, making her rent free. It's called a scam, and it's illegal... As for the rules, no, she can't just do whatever with them either. The landlord makes up rules for a reason. They want the tenants to be aware of the expectations that are required to be followed prior to deciding whether or not to rent the property. I have a list of rules that need to be followed by tenants and they are each given a copy of them along with the lease to go over prior to signing the lease and rules acceptance form or putting any money down to hold or rent the property. Every tenant has their own documents, and everyone states the exact same thing. They all sign each document so everyone has original ink signatures, no copies, ever. I make the rules based on not only the laws and ordinances in the location of the property, but also for the safety, responsibility, comfort, and peaceful living arrangements for every tenant and the neighbors who have just as much right to live peacefully in their homes as my tenants do in theirs. I believe that every tenant has the right to live in peace in a house that is well maintained, and that they are proud to have friends and family visit and be proud to call it their home. They may not own it but they are paying to live in it and therefore it is their home. I also expect the same from my tenants and because I make my lease/rules very clear, maintain my properties extremely well and charge a fair price for rent rather than a price that makes me rich and my tenants poor, and I don't keep security deposits for things that are unnecessary or considered normal wear and tear. I have a successful tenant/landlord relationship with my tenants, long-term tenants, and a waiting list for my properties. I've been renting out properties for over 35 years and I have only been in court once and have never had to evict anyone. It's as simple as following the laws for tenants and landlords and treating each other with respect. I treat my tenants as I would want to be treated, not as a business deal. Maybe you need to figure out why you're in court so often and make the changes needed to prevent it, whether you're a tenant or a landlord.

@@l3n1san People do this when they live alone. They do not have 3 additional roommates and then decide to airbnb the extra room, that’s for sure and that’s why she owed him.
I'm sure her landlord does not know she is sub-letting her room. A case here in France went to court and the tenant had to pay the landlord all the money they had gained from renting through airbnb and it was retroactive by 4 years. And needless to say, the tenant was evicted...
My friend rents 6 acres with a house. There is another small house that he rents out also. He also rents out space for cars, boat and trailers. Landlord found out so now he has to give landlord a percentage of what he receives from those spaces. It is better for him then just raising the rent because people come and go out out the spaces. Money motivates people!
Instead of paying hotel fees, you can pay double to stay in someone else's house without any of the amenities and usually chores to do? Plus you are basically in a roommate situation. Sounds like waaaay more trouble than it's worth. Get a hotel, make a mess, leave.
Fr I never understood how getting an air b n b is better than staying in a hotel… there’s a cleaning fee plus paying for each nite, then ppl act like cooking is a plus, like why would I want to cook on vacation unless I’m there for weeks
I would never rent a room in someone's home for vacation stay, but I would definitely rent an entire apartment, even if it's just a small studio. Total freedom.
Motels have daily, weekly and monthly rent offers. Even the shabbiest motels are better than giving up my privacy and putting up with people's BS or having them put up with my BS. Peaceful solitude is worth shelling out a few extra bucks if need be.
And it would be bad enough that she would start renting to Airbnb people that turn over all the time instead of a consistent roommate, but she actually stayed in the house. Rented out her room and then slept in the living room taking away enjoyment of the living room from everyone else too. Added more people towards the utilities, made the house more crowded, made the house less comfortable and yet expected the consistent roommates to pay the same.
I am so grateful for living alone. I've done the roommate situation before, various times. Not my thing! Much less if the roommate is renting the space out to random strangers through AirBnb. How bizarre!!
I could never have a roommate. My house is 3,000 square feet and I live alone and would never even consider renting out any part of it. Way too many issues with roommates. I mean, a big portion of the cases here are roommate or landlord-tenant issues.
I wouldn't want strangers in and out of where I was renting. You want to rent your rooms that way then wait till your existing renters are out . That's an increase in utilities too that existing renters shouldn't have to be charged too. Glad he got some money back.
The judge asked the plaintiff for her bill and she gave her an autopay receipt from her bank. Why are litigants so slow when it comes to providing bills?
I came for the 👹 👁👁 !! 🤣🤣 I laugh like a crazy woman whenever the plaintiff loses and the defendant wins their countersuit!!! I don't know why! I think there is something wrong with me!! 🤣🤣
She broke rental agreement and if she said her and others wanted him out then how could have broken the agreement. Then she didn’t have proof of utilities, she should have just ate utility cost and moved on.
If you rent a room in your house, you can not then rent it out to others b/c that is a breech in the original agreement, unless there is something written by the roommate that they agree to it. (Written lease or contract in the beginning, then a verbal agreement afterwards to over ride. It has to be a written agreement then). It disrupts the peaceful enjoyment of the place you rented with other people coming & going. I’m glad she lost. She’s in outer space thinking she had a case against him. Edited to add: As for Harvey’s question. Yes, the guy has a legal right to leave without a 30 day notice. She violated the original agreement. Just like if you have cockroaches & your landlord did nothing to correct the issue. It’s called a warrant of habitability. Edited again to add: just watched the ending in the hallway. She still is not taking responsibility for her behavior! Saying that the AirBNB renters are so great! Hey nitwit, no one wants to rent a room in a place where you decide later that random strangers are invited to their space/common areas invading their privacy! She is so stupid!
So you rent a room in a home, and as part of the deal everyone shares a common area. Then to bring in some extra cash she gives up, rents out, her room for B&B stay-overs. Yet when all is said and done in her mind, it's the shared common area she claims for herself, WOW! Don't get me wrong the dude sounded too drunk and wouldn't remember the truth, even if he was shown a video!
What nerve the plaintiff has for moving in AirBNB ppl when she has tenants that signed leases! Seriously how selfish. She acts like she owns the apartment and is entitled to any profits made. I’m sure the owner will have something to say once this episode airs. It’s a problem in this country……..me,me,me. But then goes crying to JM when she thinks he owes her money. Think about it, if one of the guests get hurt or refuse’s to leave, they will sue the owner, I mean, he could get sued for everything she/he owns BECAUSE OF HER. All the profits should go to the owner and this selfish woman should be immediately evicted and lose her deposit at the very least.
She said she had air b m b for 2 weekends but then went on to say I'm still doing it now makes me think she's being doing it alot more than for 2 weekends.
I've never heard of anyone having the nerve to rent out a shared rental space as a B&B. It's not her home. She didn't own the place she was just renting along with the other roommates right? How would that be ok with the landlord and the other roommates? Then she says it was one of her roommates that suggested the B&B but she didn't have to actually do it. Maybe the roommate mate was being faceciois because she was so bossy and demanding, who knows how it came up, but it wouldn't make sense to want people barging in on the space they are renting. I thought B&Bs were like when you live alone and have a quaint big house with many rooms and some offer breakfast. Doubt this girl was serving breakfast in the garden area. The nerve of all this.
she got some nerve talking about somebody else isn't clean when she has dead things in the walls. dummy could have walked away but her petty behind wanted to sue over 200 dollars. lol. hilarious I love it
Wonder if her landlord knows that the plaintiff - who seems sweet and well spoken - rented their apartment out on air bnb? I would kick her out asap! I have a love/hate relationship with airbnb/vrbo - I stay at them when I'm on vacation, but now I have many houses on my street that are short term rentals and I hate the fact that I have constantly changing neighbors. Great idea. I would also have considered sleeping in the common area myself if I was her roommate. I'd love to have heard her argument as to why I can't use the common area for sleeping. I'm sure in her mind she'd feel that she's the only one allowed to do that. Some people.
she rented a 4 bdr house. Then sub leased 3 bdrs, used her bdr as a ab&b and she slept in the living room. This was her way of making money. She did not have another job.
you took him to court expecting to expose, check and clean his clock and get washed up /hung out to dry by him via the judge who have to fork over 700 dollars and get no money for yourself and lose the case. be careful who you sue and go after Lady and others like her.
The fact he asked her parents for a condom shows that he's more responsible than most. I'm not sure why Judge Milian would try to scold him for trying to be responsible. I don't care if he asked the mailman, neighbor, or Santa Claus. The fact he was asking people if they had a condom is a good thing. Too many people are having unprotected sex and bringing children into the world when they can barely take care of themselves. The plaintiff sounds like she's running an illegal operation. She mentioned a landlord, so she doesn't own the home and she's renting her room out on weekends on Airbnb. Then, she had the nerve to sue the roommate after she created a horrible living situation for him. No one wants strangers in and out of the house they're renting a room in. Not only is it uncomfortable, it's a safety issue.
Yep I wouldve sued for a portion of the utilities too because when people rent out places they have no obligation to be mindful of hiw much water and electricity they are using. I know when I go to hotels my showers are always insanely long... it's something about that water staying so hot lol
She must be regretting bringing him to court . She owes him money now 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. If I were the landlord , I would have sued this plaintiff idiot for the maximum , for breaching the contract in putting my property up in Airbnb without my consent . I have 3 houses - and I definitely have a clause for not subletting to anyone . I’d make sure I get every cent from her .
Sooner or later you'll be older, you'll have worked hard, saved money and bought your own home. NO room mates, NO air bnb, NO tenants, NO BS. Then you can congratulate yourself with a big mortgage burning party and your world will be awesome.
I would be extremely angry if my roommate rented out her room to Airbnb, thereby giving me an additional roommate that I didn't agree on, and the woman's crap would be all over the living room, because she's using it as her bedroom. I would also insist that the contracts say overnight guests can't stay longer than 2 days, unless everybody agrees in writing, definitely NOT five days.
I wonder how her landlord feels about the extra liability he faces with having the air b&b ran out of that house. Hope the plaintiff has the money to buy her own place to run it from. I also wonder what the air b&b customers thought of having all these other people in the place.

Which is good for her but if you are making this much money and it ultimately was a better arrangement for you especially after all the other roommates left then just eat the 200 dollars for utilities.
@@l3n1san People do this when they live alone. They do not have 3 additional roommates and then decide to airbnb the extra room, that’s for sure and that’s why she owed him.
Idk how she does air bnb I wouldn't want to rent a house and have the "owner" laying on the couch or walking around
I'm sure her landlord does not know she is sub-letting her room. A case here in France went to court and the tenant had to pay the landlord all the money they had gained from renting through airbnb and it was retroactive by 4 years. And needless to say, the tenant was evicted...
Cases in France don’t have any basis of ruling in America
Doesn't mean it can't happen in America. It's up to a Judge.
@@bixbycro lol...
@@bixbycro possibly the most American response
She is very greedy and also she is breaking the rules of the landlord, you know the person who actually owns the home. 🤨
There’s no way I would rent a room around a bunch of strangers. You never know what kind of creature will be on top of you in the middle of the night!
It's called being poor.

Thats hilarious

Too cute 🤣😂

I love when things backfire she owes him now 🤣
Lol
Exactly. He had his sh** in order.
Instead of paying hotel fees, you can pay double to stay in someone else's house without any of the amenities and usually chores to do? Plus you are basically in a roommate situation. Sounds like waaaay more trouble than it's worth. Get a hotel, make a mess, leave.
Amen!
Pay double???? You clearly have never used an Air BNB.
The only thing I took away from this case was that the guy uses protection during sex. Good for him! Judgement for the defendant, case closed.

I would be pissed too if this lady did this to
Me
How much were the air bnb people paying for utilities and why should he pay any when she had extra people using them.
I did not even think about that. Very good point!
JM was so serious when she said did you walk around and ask for condoms
She may have been having a flashback to her college days 😯
@@Channel-JJ Lmbo
That was her “Mom voice”!
This is what happens when you are petty. And based on the living conditions it sounds like a place I would want to rent. Greediness gets you nowhere.
No way I'd be roommating with 4 people, and especially not with some airbnb strangers running in/ out the apartment...
He shouldn't have to pay utilities when there were Air BnB guests using them too!
He should have raised it. I bet she would have had to eat that too. Also, they walked through the other guys room to get to the garden???!!!
“All this rent” 🤣🤣🤣
I still heard “All this rent” when she repeated it
That’s what I heard too lol
I am so grateful for living alone. I've done the roommate situation before, various times. Not my thing! Much less if the roommate is renting the space out to random strangers through AirBnb. How bizarre!!
Factssssss 🎯
I was just thinking this🥰
I could never have a roommate.
I laugh like a crazy woman whenever the plaintiff loses and the defendant wins their countersuit!!! I don't know why! I think there is something wrong with me!! 🤣🤣
She broke rental agreement and if she said her and others wanted him out then how could have broken the agreement. Then she didn’t have proof of utilities, she should have just ate utility cost and moved on.
Always love the twist when the plaintiff's loose due to greed lol
How hard is it to bring the light bill? Makes me think she was over charging tenants. She wasn’t very smart.
Why did she sue because now she owes him money
M
Plaintiff needs to take accountability for her actions.
What a way to win. Good on the defendant. The plaintiff was double dipping on income with AirBnB
They did her dirty with that thumbnail. Looking all possessed
Did anyone else click the video because of how she looked possessed in the thumbnail ?!
I didn’t look at the thumbnail, just the title. So just looked because of your comment and yes, she really does look “possessed,” and demonic. 😂
The plaintiff has a LOT of nerve.
I thought Judge Milian said "all this rent" too. 🤣😂
Plaintiff is very shady...
That was an EPIC FAIL case lol.. walk out owing 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️.. see what GREED gets you🤷🏾♀️
How does a landlord allow Airbb... that is unsafe to other tenants.
Some are nice and respectful, some aren't. I would not want to live in an apartment under those conditions. Judge made the right call.
I would kick her out immediately as well
What does "well spoken" have to do with anything? Millions of humans are well-spoken. And? What point are you making?
@@Tahiha I just meant she sounded intelligent, that's why it's surprising that she didn't understand why her room mates were upset with the air bnb situation.
The absolute audacity…also where do they live that it takes 4 ppl to pay the rent?
Nice specs JM! I only put mine on too when I want people to take me seriously too! She’s a “showboat” indeed! Lol!
Thanks judge for educating everyone on the definition of an “Airbnb”! You are incredibly smart! 😮
She seems really well spoken and presents well for an entitled brat
Judge basically said-youre petty!
It’s a microaggression and racist to comment on black people being well spoken. What else did you expect?
U don't think brats can be well spoken? If she was white, would you still think she was well spoken...or just spoken😑
@@wackybrattyx it’s a lot of racist stuff in these comments lately. The comment below calling her hair nappy just shows racism is everywhere. Picture watching a Latina judge and clicking on a ep with a black woman and being hateful.
@@JaheimsStrugglingHairline Sadly it's not a recent thing. I've been watching these videos for almost two years. Racist comments are almost always on cases with black litigants
Her facial expressions are hilarious. The thumbnail was definitely necessary 😅😭
On any day that girl had to sleep in the living room I would make sure to make a full continental breakfast make lunch cook dinner and dessert and play music and be talking on the phone in that kitchen because girl you were not about to take up the entire common area and we all got to be quiet because you want to rent out to Airbnb
It just slays me when plaintiffs are so sure to win AND THEN SLAM! The defendant walks away with a windfall.
Ahh ha😂 that's hilarious that she lost so much
This plaintiff was sooo inconsiderate and Im glad she lost
She breached her own contract..
She look smart.

She got greedy and ended up having to pay
The girl in the yellow shirt was the best part 😂😂
Oohhh r the other roommates goons sue her now? 😈
Really, that statement from other roommate kinda did her in.
She had some nerve!!..I would of given her notice ASAP. And sued for moving expenses.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 she should have left well enough ALONE 😝🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well that backfired on the plaintiff.
This is so awesome! She is so extra. Ha
you took him to court expecting to expose, check and clean his clock and get washed up /hung out to dry by him via the judge who have to fork over 700 dollars and get no money for yourself and lose the case. be careful who you sue and go after Lady and others like her.
"i dont run after people for money" probably for the best considering the time you did you left court in the negative lol
Wait till the landlord sees this!! Where does she get the nerve to make money off of someone else’s property?
Yes, you’re right, but I still think it’s gross to ask around for condoms. He should’ve gone out to buy them if he was truly being responsible.
Hysterical hearing the word legal from anybody subletting a property they dont own
Right, you just can't turn a place into an AirBnB without letting tenants know. I would've been pissed too!
The girl in the interview: 😀
Not The Exorcist thumbnail!!! 😱

Eek 😬 I always feel like that when the judgment goes upside down girl you should’ve dropped that case when you had the chance
Sooner or later you'll be older, you'll have worked hard, saved money and bought your own home. NO room mates, NO air bnb, NO tenants, NO BS. Then you can congratulate yourself with a big mortgage burning party and your world will be awesome.
And the landlord will hopefully see that she is doing rental cash.goid luck
i’m literally the girl harvey asked a question & then got stage fright LOL i feel you girl.
I wouldn't be telling anyone you are an idiot.

I thought the judge said, "all this rent, too".
She should of defiantly stayed home and not bothered.... 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
I love these cases when somebody's trying to be greedy and they wind up owing
