- Watch how we transform a formica countertop and make it look like a real white and grey stone. This is a step by step tutorial video where you will learn how you can do this exact same thing!
This countertop was done using our Leggari Stone Kit #14 incorporating the Dirty Pour technique. The colors used were white and silver.

The process! 👇👇
THE SUBSTRATE
Prepping the surface of the countertops is easy. Most surfaces just need sanded (80-100 Grit) then wiped clean. Granite and Marble will need the sealer removed. Tile will need the grout lines filled with Bondo and sanded smooth before applying our Countertop Kits.
EPOXY PRIMER COAT
Priming the Countertops is simple and fast. Mix your pre-measured primer then dip and roll the pigmented primer across the surface until the countertop surface is completely covered. Wait 1 hr. (or until tacky and not coming off to the touch) and start applying the Base Coat.
METALLIC EPOXY COAT
There are so many different applications for our metallic epoxy coat. In this video we show you the dirty pour technique. When you place your order you'll receive step by step tutorial videos that will show you how to apply this part depending on the look you're going for!
HIGH WEAR TOP COAT
We offer 2 different Performance Engineered Top Coats. Glaze Coat is our High Build Top Coat that lays out like glass and adds depth to the Countertop. The Urethane Top Coat comes with the option to have a High Gloss or Matte finish. It needs to be rolled out super thin and leaves a minor texture on the countertop. You apply it within 24 hrs. of installing your Countertop Kit
Leggari Countertop Kits were designed to transform your countertop, tabletop, or desktop into something new and beautiful by coating your existing countertop or pre-built wood countertop. They can be installed in 3 to 5 hrs. including the prep work, and will last for decades. If you can paint your countertops, you’re more than qualified to install a Leggari Countertop Kit. Our Countertop system is leading the resin industry for thickness, durability, and scratch resistance with our High Wear Top Coats.
Our Countertop Epoxy is specifically designed for counters and can be applied to any hard surface. It’s 100% Pure Solids using the finest raw materials that include proprietary additives for working time, thickness, flow and marbleization that are vital when achieving our Dynamic Effects. Our Countertop Epoxy is also a decorative, durable and chemically resistant coating, available with a High Gloss or Matte finish.

I love it....looks like a hell of allot of work for the average DIY'r. I was thinking about doing this for the remodel of my kitchen countertop but have decided to go with Wilsonart laminate and contact cement it down and router trim it....Much less work...
We made the process for DIY'ers through our tutorial videos on our website that show you step by step the process. Thanks
Love it.im try it

I’m in the middle of updating my kitchen. want to do a dirty pour on my kitchen countertop but i’m also going to tile over my existing backsplash tile. I need to know if I should do the counter top first or install my new backsplash first. Thoughts?
Красавцы,,,,,!!! Бомба! !!
Agreguen traducción al español!! Por favor!! Excelentes trabajos!! Genios
That would make a gorgeous floor also.
I think so too!
How does the primer / epoxy stick to the caulk? do you have to use a special product?
Love this design. What router bit did you use to curve the straight edge of the laminate. And could this same bit be used on formica too?
it looks great guys all the videos I learn something new
Glad to hear that, this is a big reason we do the videos. Thanks for watching
Great Looking product.
Question is ,in the Kitchen Kit #1
the WB Top coat is optional.
Does that mean l can leave it as is ?? Or must l top coat it with your clear glaze ..... or the Gloss or Satin WB products ??
I would like to leave it as is with no clear. 🤔
It's Awesome, What to do if I want to in India?
Put super glue on the bottom base around that small brush so the hairs don't fall out. That's what I do and it works.
Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!😀
Can you use your product for bathroom countertops with a molded sink?
Great idea..to redesign cheap Formica counters..for a quick update without the cost of granite..(which I think isn't best)..I'd prefer Quartz if I used a stone..
Great point! Thanks for watching!
For priming can i use any paint?
I like to do it by myself.
Reply plz.
Can I add some black to this project by adding another container and mixing black spray paint with the white?
Can you use any latex color interior paint and mix with epoxy in different containers ?
How did you get the bubbles out of the epoxy before you sprayed the alcohol?
@leggariproducts
How many days did this take and
How much did you charge?
I'm making resin and wood tables
But wouldn't mind getting in to this
Just wondering if its worth doing with my business.
If im using mdf for my countertops do I need to prime it? Can I get the stone look with the mica coloring or do I need to purchase a liquid dye? Plz help...
Did you have to sand the counter because it was more that 24 hours between laying the counter and applying the top coat?
Looks good definitely should have used a torch though couple spots that would have gone right away but great job
Thanks!
Can you tell me more about rounding the counter top edges
Beautifully done. One question you switch color tapes when edging was there a difference in them. Second question what about bubbles? How do you get rid of them or do they not form?
Is there anyway to get a satin finish or a "matte" like finish? May be even with the top coat?
No there is no difference in the tape other than the color. We have a high end epoxy that has an additive in it to make the bubbles rise to the surface and pop on their own. Thanks
Amazing work , I learning a lot of things... what kind of primer do you using ?
Our Leggari primer is a water based epoxy specifically designed to chemically bond to almost all smooth surfaces.
What product do you put in the spray?
Is it regular paint primer or special kind of primer?
Was it base coat ar epoxy white + harder???
or epoxy white + epoxy clear???
What did you use as a primer ?
do you have a video for how you did this floor? I see other floor videos, but I would LOVE the link for this one. Also, if someone doesn't want to do their own floor, do you have anyone in Tucson AZ that could be hired to assist?
This is the only video we have at this time. You can email leggari@gmail.com and request the info for a contractor in your area and they will send you out their info
Nice pieces of art
What prime u used on the counter
Our Leggari primer is a water based epoxy specifically designed to chemically bond to almost all smooth surfaces.
Hey leggari team! How do you deal with dust buddies landing on the epoxy while it cures and naturally, causing surface imperfections? I didnt see you cover the countertop at any time while it cured?
Also i didnt see you guys pop bubbles with the propane torch? Im guessing your epoxy works very different from tradicional epoxy resins?
What do you use for your top coat and if I like it with a high shine do i have to sand it and what should I use for top coat
We have 3 different top coat options. Glaze coat is our super high gloss top coat that lays out glass smooth just like the metallic epoxy coat. Our WB Urethane comes in high gloss and leaves a minor texture and we also have a WB Urethane that’s a Matte/Satin finish.
How high do you put your tape on the wall?
Sir.... legarry epoxy is a water base epoxy?
Would it be possible to put an oak trim around the edge before the pour so it bonds fully with the resin? If so how much upstand would I need for a flush finish?
That is a good question. Please contact our techs at 844-534-4274 ext. 1 and they can assist you.
Can I ask what about bullnose table tops and countertops how do you do those can you do a video on also laminate countertops that has got grip holes or grip how do you make those smooth thanks
Anthony, you can contact our techs at 844-534-474 ext. 1 and they can assist you with any install questions you may have.
Wow what grade is the sanding
Hola excelentes los trabajos .. podrian configurar para sustitular a español.. los sigo desde Argentina
Hi, take a look at our online brochure. Thanks
online.flippingbook.com/view/364043
Looks beautiful. It’s satisfying seeing the epoxy cover an old countertop!
Do you throw away the paint brushes?
Yes we usually throw them away, it is vary hard to get the epoxy off of the brush after it sets up.
if you are worried about having to throw paint brushes away you can get reusable ones, use silicone basting brushes, the epoxy comes right off after it cures. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HR8HG25/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@timothyplumb8843 LOL,... The material is $200/gal and you're wanting to save a couple paint brushes?
...or $12/sqft
Hi what, is isopro in that spray. And do you really need to do it or is it just for that final effect.
Still looks mint tho.
We are using 91% isopropyl alcohol. You don't have to use it some people just like the dispersing effects that it gives.
not a fan of black and white color and patterns that turned out but i appreciate it a lot for showing the work technique.
Thanks for watching the video
Beautiful job but I am concerned about yellowing over time. How long do you think it would be before yellowing/ambering sets in?
Our epoxy is UV stable, the only problem we ever had was our white color and since then we have a UV stable white color.
@@LeggariProducts So I can mix my own white mica to Leggari epoxy and be safe as far as UV?
It doesn’t yellow unless you’re a smoker??
Can I order just the top coat? I’ve already epoxied my counters but would love to add your top coat! I’ve been to the website but it looks like you can’t buy individual products
Our store should be up in about a week. If you’d like to order it sooner please email customerservice@leggari.com. Thanks
Hi there from the UK. Do you ship internationally, you can get the same products in the UK but they don't have these instructional videos!
You can email leggari@gmail.com and they can assist you.
Круто. Из чего они это делают. У нас есть такие материалы?
My dude didnt take that brush bristle out !!!
Thanks for watching the video
What do you mean by letting the isopropyl alcohol drip not spray? Why denatured alcohol for wiping? Won't polyethylene yellow? Why not leave it without the top coat?
Love it. Where to get, how much.
You can email leggari@gmail.com and they can assist you with an order.
Good job,am trying to order some expoxy from your website but it kinda hard for me,it's telling me to give all the measurements of what I need,I just wanted wanted 1 gallon of white n black each.
Hello! If you email customerservice@leggari.com our team can help you purchase a single item!
With the edges, did you just sand them down at a 45 degree angle? I've been wanting to do my countertops, but wasn't sure how address the edges to get a rounded look.
Listen to the video. He tells you what he did to the edges
@@naomid6419 I did listen to the video. But thanks for the tip
How well does epoxy hold against a glass oven safe platter placed on top of it if it was in an oven for say 400 degrees?
The epoxy can withstand up to 200 degrees of heat. We do not recommend ever putting hot pans on top of any countertop surface.
Leggari Products thank you for replying
I want to do this over my floor tiles. However some of them are cracked. Can I still do this with a filler in the cracks and can you all help me over the phone with my project?
Valeria, you can contact our techs at 844-534-4274 ext. 1 and they can assist you with the prep work involved.
How available this epoxy material in Pakistan please tell me about this thanks.
primer code is water base paint?
when you mixed the base coat, did you just add a and not b?
No, you mix the a and b together!
I wonder if Leggari team suggested having the floor marble veined or did customer order that? I love the countertops, and I love the floor...but not in the same room. The busy floor takes away from the beautiful creation of the countertops.
It really depends on the look the customer wants either veins or puddles. Both looks are amazing.
online.flippingbook.com/view/364043
Really cool but does all this work cost less than a new stone counter? (really asking)
Yes it does. The price for the dirty pour kit is $661 and covers 50 sq.ft.
Where are you located & will you have training available 2020?
We're located in Pasco, WA. Here's the link to our online training brochure: coatings.leggari.com/view/854316/
Eu consigo compra os produtos de vocês ?
Hi, take a look at our online brochure. Thanks
online.flippingbook.com/view/364043
Will this self level over textured countertops?
Yes it will, but you want to sand the countertops first with 80 grit.
@@LeggariProducts Thanks!!
Been thinking about bying a kit but i have a safety question, When sanding i noticed you were not using a mask, so i guess your products are safe to use ? Because i was at a safety course for epoxy and here we were told to always use a mask, eventhough using a sander with wacum attached.
Isn't a resin floor in a business slippery--esp. w/snow outside? nice contrast w/counter;) Q: urethane top coat? Wouldn't it yellow? Would use epoxy top on a kitchen, right? thanks:)
Our urethane top coat is UV stable and the epoxy is just like walking on tile. Any floor will be slippery when wet. We do have a grit you can add to the urethane to give it more traction.
@@LeggariProducts thanks:)
