My 1988 R107 steering is very loose. I dk when the steering shock has been replaced but looks oem or original. Anyways I just ordered a new Bilstein one throw on. I don’t see any leaks but I’m sure it’s due. Hoping it’ll fix or make the steering better.

When I'm at hwy speeds in my r107, slight steering correction either way causes LOUD whining. Back to center and it's all smooth. SLIGHT correction other way and loud whining again. Same exact sound either way. If it were wheel bearings would it be the exact same sound no matter which way you turn the wheel? Could this a power steering motor issue or steering shock? Power steering system is holding hydraulic pressure perfectly with no leaks. 1983 380sl.

Great video!! I replaced it last year!! How long do these last?? What do do notice in my steering wheel is it doesn't really spin back to straight is there anything i can do? I have tightened the gearbox for the steering

about 75,000 miles. if it doesn't spin back its an alignment issue.

Can you guys do a video on the valve stem seals on the 300sd? How hard is it to change are they necessary how often should they be replaced do they cause issues if not changed?

Hi , my mercedes w201 has a steering play . When im driving i always have to hold the steering wheel tight to one side if the road is a bit slant to the opposite side. Ball joints, struts and and suspension are all new . I have recently changed the steering box but the problem is still there . I would really appreciate your help. Thank you

you may need rear axle spindle bushings...they will cause rear steering. the part number is 204-352-00-27. they require a special press to install.
