How long do they typically last? I’m doing a job for someone replacing all the arms, links & bushings & seen the truck had this stabilizer & didn’t know how to tell if it’s any good. Any specific brand that is good/bad? Thanks for the video!!! ✊🏿

If it is a stock truck you can replace it with a stock stabilizer. If it is a built Jeep or build truck you can go with a Moog or something more beefy.

Man I’ve changed control arms, wheel bearing bushing, wheel alignment/balanced. On a 2001 Infiniti qx4 2001 and steering wheel still shakes should this be something I look for

The front track bar too is many times the culprit.

So on the mount near the diff is that bottom nut welded? I can't get the top bolt to budge even with pb and an impact. Perks of living in PA I guess.

❤if it's still there it must be welded. Otherwise he would take it off first.

is it supposed to have slight play when you grab and twist the stabilizer?

    • @HomeOwnerRepair

It shouldn't have really any play in it.

@@HomeOwnerRepair Thanks for the reply. I have the JL with the Xtreme Recon package. The dealer says it's normal to have a slight play on the steering stabilizer since it is attached to the tie rods. This is my first Jeep, so I'm not sure if the dealer is right or they have no idea what they're talking about?

Or it might also be a bad track bar or worn suspension components.

@@john.t645 No, the steering stabilizer is not causing it, it is that the underlying issue finally killed the SS. If you replace it and not identify the underlying issue you will be back in the same situation.
