- Delta's 1st A220-100 (Formerly CS100) [N101DU] made an unexpected first visit to Houston IAH on November 4, 2018.
Video shows arrival, taxi, pushback, taxi to depart, and start of takeoff roll.
Fun fact, the last window is white because it's in the lavoratory
Looks like the lovechild of an A350 and a Superjet
You Can Say that again!
not really. like a a350 cockpit and 330 wings/belly
Delta is getting rid of all it's ancient MD80's and replacing with the newest plane out there. Delta customers are going to be so happy. Plus when the price of fuel goes up, these will save a bundle. These are pretty long haul too. 2900 miles aint no joke.
The most advanced and beautiful passenger jet ever built!!!
Ultimately, will having a perfect plane mean that people will buy more Delta tickets? Delta better up its marketing game with this aircraft. It would have looked better with sharklets, a raked wingtip or scimitar winglets, or as an impractical tri-jet. The CSeries hydraulic system sounds like complete crap, but manages to get the job done reliably.
texasabbott you won’t ever see raked wingtips on anything smaller than a 787 due to their inefficiency and higher drag profile on shorter trips and smaller wingspans, you will only see winglets and sharklets.
@@brendanpetry6709 Embraer E190 E2 and E195 E2 and P-8 Poseidon (737-800) all have raked wingtips. An E2 series article (raked wingtips mentioned in paragraph 8) by Flight Global:

Awesome catch!!! And @ 3:48, I think I heard GE90's spooling up?
They're P and W 1500g, Ryan
It was either a United or ANZ 777 starting its takeoff roll
makes the 737 look like shit lol
Great stuff! Nice little airplane for sure. I flew on a Swiss C series once... very good experience.
amazing video mate! WOW, The A220 looks amazing
ADL Aviation thanks!
As of December 10 2018, Delta Airlines has two CS100/A220's. N103DU has been delivered to Delta, and N102DU is undergoing flight testing in Mirabel. Dispatch reliability exceeds 99.5% with Air Baltic and Swiss.
That is a beautiful C series!
Wow amazing 😍😍😍😍
Clean
It's just a baby
Fantastic catch!
SPOTTER360 thanks!
Amazing video and great channel. Liked and subscribed. Camera?
I wished airbus will incorporate the winglets of the A350 on every airbus. #signature look.
I wish ATC was bringing planes in on the 8s and 9 so I could see it from my house... Nice video and i subscribed!
This is awesome
Liked!
Keyshawn thanks!

Looks like A Boeing 777-200/300 when it comes to lights
Great looked like mini 787.
Imagine the 787 cockpit with sidesticks. This A220 has exactly that. If you are itching for getting squashed on takeoffs and steep rocket climbs, the engine power on Delta's A220-100 is quite ridiculous.
lol yeah right...
that's a good comparison in terms of the advances the C Series makes on the short haul industry. Boeing and Airbus (to-date) have only looked at re-engined designs that don't really compare to the A220 at all.
@@justwilly6778 ... C Series is fully a medium-haul aircraft (3300 nm/6100 km) that can economically handle short-haul flights by Q400 and ATR-72. Would an airline choose a smaller CS300/A220-300 over a larger capacity 737MAX-8 for the same route? Profitability will dictate. Who knows?
@@texasabbott it all depends on route demand. But pound for pound there is no doubt that the c series is far more efficient and comfortable for passengers. Boeing really needs to consider a proper replacement for the 737. Perhaps that will come in a smaller variant of the upcoming 797, who knows
PW always have a part on the hubs that how you can tell
Amazing shot mate!
The LED lighting makes it look like the cabin lights are blue.
That's because they are.
A great aircraft made by a woeful company.. with the transfer of the C series to Airbus hopefully increased sales (400 on order) Airbus will as they predict sell many hundreds of the aircraft within the next few years. Bombardier in contrast is planning to lay off many of those who presently work on the C series therefore increasing delivery times, not something airlines like when ordering an aircraft. Questions should also be asked re the huge grants given to this Canadian company who publicly state they will lay off workers who are non Canadian before their own.. so an aircraft hopefully given the chance to grow in the future without the dead weight of Canadian managers
