Hi all, Ursus here. Just wanted to first of all say thank you for all the kind words about my pots! Then take the opportunity to answer some questions regarding buying, website etc. I am quite new to all this, and that I won’t try to hide. I’ve been making pots for less than a year, don’t have my own kiln yet, and reaching out to Darren was my first attempt at showing my work to more people. So unfortunately the only platform I’m active on so far is my Instagram, and have yet to set up a website/store or something like that. If interest in my work moves in the right direction I’ll update accordingly of course, but for now I hope that people want to join my adventures in pottery the same way you follow Darren in his endeavors, at least to start with. When my trees goes to sleep for winter my pottery will increase, and I will keep on making pots, for myself, for fun, for learning. Some pots I will make for myself, but the rest will be available to buy, but as of now the way to do that is by comment and/or send me a PM on my Instagram when you see something you like. Again, thank you all whom have given me positive feedback and comments both here and on Instagram! ❤️ //🐻
@@TheBonsaiZone Hey Nigel :) I've tried to ask on your videos as well as others: What do you do with old soil when you're repotting? Especially if there was clay that has broken down quite a bit. I'm curious if people are throwing it all on the ground, reusing it, composting it or maybe it's more likely a combination of all of these depending on the situation.
I found this page on Snapchat.. & I am addicted now! Gardening has always been a dream, but there is so much that goes into it & it has always had me nervous. I love this page & find the videos so soothing. Thank you!!
The making of a fabulous tree, hope all goes well. You've given it the best chance to flourish. I have a couple of Hemlock seedlings about 25cm tall, a very long journey to look like that, Thanks for showing us, can't wait to see the progress. I’ve followed Ursus pottery! and will be buying some items from them. It's good to see new enterprise, and I wish them well.
Great work, as usual GroBro. Looks like you’ve resurrected it from almost certain death. Congrats on 40k subs. One of the best, most informative, channels. Keep growing. Thanks
I really enjoyed the video! The little text-comments that explained some things better were very helpful and it's great to watch you giving new hope to a dying tree. Thank you for making the effort ^^
I subscribed to Ursus pottery. Hemlock was a lot of work, great job. Looking forward to the ongoing updates. Congrats on the subscribers. You deserve it. Great content.
Loving the videos! I find they're a great tool for someone who is relatively new to bonsai like myself. The give away pot looks awesome and i have gave ursus a follow.
Awesome tree Darren! I like the natural look of those dead branches, it really captures how these trees give up on their lower branches when they don't get enough light. As you further develop this tree, I hope you can maintain that aesthetic. I also have followed Ursus, its nice to hear about new bonsai potters.
Thanks Derek, I'll certainly be using some of those dead branches, maybe even all of them. I won't make any decisions though until it's healthy enough to style :) thanks again
Just followed them on insta and I’ve just started with bonsai and been out into the woods to find some small Scott’s pine and working on making my very first bonsai
Brilliant video! Lovely tree and great to see it recover so well. Gorgeous pot as well. This guy has got some great taste and talent. Hopefully we can see more ceramics of their on your channel again soon! :) Been following you for ages and look forward to see the channel getting the growth it deserves. Also entered the giveaway. Peace
Luv that pot and tree combo. Had to watch this on the big tv to do it justice!!! Well done sir they are going to be amazing. I'm checking Ursus now probably pick up a pot or two while there. Take care
It never translate in these short videos how much time and effort it can take to do a repot, especially for a massive tree like this. Seems like you did an awesome job though. Also followed Ursus Pottery, some cool looking pots.
came for the plants, stayed for the cool accent lmao excited for the giveaway! congrats to the future lucky winner ❤️ so excited to see you grow (pun intended!)
I've given Ursus Pottery a follow!! I started out with bonsai this year after a lot of loss in my life. Bonsai, and indeed your channel, have taught me so much and kept me going, seeing all the beautiful changes in the trees after giving them some TLC. I'd love to win the pot but I'm just glad that I now know a great pottery supplier ☺️
I like Tsuga, but so far I failed getting anything out of seeds, but I will keep trying. That giant of a Bonsai is a challenge and clearly not a one man job, but you do it alone, awesome and really well done. Thank you for sharing. Btw. it seems free, but we actually do pay with our data to be able to watch YT.
Thanks! I'll always make free content, I have no judgement :) Just had a few negative comments so felt the need to explain that I'm not trying to get rich
Hello! I am fairly new to bonsai and its different styles and techniques. I like the variety of tools that you use and the way you used them. Could you perhaps make a video on the different type of tools you use in the future? That would be great!👍

@@-ChrisD I give it to my wife to mix into her garden soil, it makes a really good soil for vegetables!
@@TheBonsaiZone A great idea indeed! I love it! Thanks for the reply :)
Removing the matted roots was SO satisfying to watch (nerve wracking for you I’m sure). Ursus is great! What beautiful stuff

You make great videos that is why we are all here ! 🙌 the pot give away is definitely a bonus 👌
Thanks! Very kind:)
Went ahead and followed Ursus! Hoping for a beautiful pot. :) Love you videos man, they sre really well made.
I use a sander (without a sanding pad)…. to vibrate all the soil in to the nooks. Works well. Surprising how much more soil can be added.
Looks promising and could work as christmas tree too :)
came for the plants, stayed for the cool accent lmao
