    I like adding the pvc to it to narrow the beam.

      Absolutely! It allows you to fine tune exactly when the prop gets triggered.

      My pleasure. Even though I use plenty of more advanced controllers, sometimes something simple is all that is required.

    Those PIR sensors do work well. I'd recommend installing it with the wires facing down though to avoid water ingress.

    What a great idea. Simple. This is a great DIY project. I looked it up. They demo the device with LEDs. This may not be able to be safely used with inductive loads. May have to add a snubber diode to quench inductive spikes from motors or relays. It says it handles 5 amps max. This may not handle windshield wiper motor's starting surge currents. A simple fix would be to use this to control a relay with a snubber diode across the coil and the contacts will easily handle the motors surge currents. I will definitely add this device idea to my electronics bag of tricks.

      Thanks for the potential troubleshooting tips! I've used it with wiper and vent motors without any problems but that is not saying someone else will be trouble free. I appreciate you sharing!

      Yes. They just plug in between the power supply and the motor.
