Great videos! Do you have any idea on how to set up a sequence of motors? (And making them go back and forth and stop?) I’m trying to build the opening scene from back to the future Can opener and need a little help! Thanks for making clear to understand videos!

Interesting. I’d imagine different speeds for different procedures. Only way to stop it is with a timer the motor can be plugged into. Let me think about this one!

@@brianbenson3091 Thank you! That’s exactly what I was thinking, some kind of timer system to set off motors. I think they could be all the same speed, not sure though
I think I’d need 4 “big boy” motors
      (1. For the grabber arm
      2. To rotate the grabber body arm to the can opener
      3. To spin just the grabber arm to drop the food and
      4. To make an actuator to turn on the can opener
And one servo to release the initial can to start the sequence
      The sequence is:
      •Release can
      •Grabber arm grab can
•Grabber arm body rotates to can opener
      •Grabber arm releases
      •Actuator turns on can opener
      Then back
      •Actuator releases can opener
•Grabber arm grabs can again (at the same time)
      •Grabber arm body rotates back
      •Grabber arm rotates 180
•Food falls out of can to bowl on floor
I’m great at building, not as great with electronics lol
Let me know what you think!

Why is the blue pipe necessary? I'm thinking about using only the "blue one" (a similar).

      I meant the red one.

I do it so the 3/4 pipe sides over it for a tighter fit (with screw reinforcement) but 100% you can just use the blue pipe if it does the job.

Thank you Brian! Just discovered your videos and am learning so much! Quick question; how tall have you gone with the pvc or pex pipe? I want to make a prop of a moon with a flying witch around it. I got the idea from another youtuber but he used metal pipe with reindeer motor. Thanks again and keep those videos coming 😂

These motors can’t handle much weight, so even a long pvc pipe may be too much. The witch would have to be super light and use like a wrapping paper tube as broom maybe. I’ll think about this and see if it is possible or not.

@@brianbenson3091 thanks! I'm making a paper mache witchy cat that will fly on a small broom. It might weight 1.5 pounds at most. My vision is to have maybe a 3 foot pipe coming through the paper mache moon with the cat flying around it.

@@rosannasantiago193 can you upload a video on your channel of what you made and your idea and put link in the reply? What I have pictured may be different what you are saying. I’m picturing like the full moon and the cat on a broom sorta hovering around moon going in circles? Like an armature attached on motor that goes beyond circumference of the moon that is attached to broom?
