Dude they got it out, still not good enough? They also have their health and well being to look out for. That "baby" weighs hundreds of #, if it slides back could crush the persons legs, arms, chest, whatever or death. What happens to those guys family who depend on them? Use your common sense.

This was this duck that hung out in the area in front of the building where I worked. One day she kept walking back and forth near the front door quacking up a storm. When one the guys went out to see what was up she led him to a storm drain. At the bottom was one of her ducklings. They opened up the drain and got it out. The duck made sure the duckling was OK, quacked twice at the guys who rescued it and then walked off with the duckling in tow. Three more ducklings then appeared from under a nearby bush and the five of them went on their way.
If I'm not mistaken, it was humans who saved the baby elephant. And the mother also trusted us. So all are not that bad, you see. Plus you're human too. Don't generalize.
@Moundshroud Not most actually. Most people nowadays think that making selfless sacrifices is stupid. Nowadays, the only thing people care about is themselves. If their parents are dying, they will only cry because no one will take care of them, and not because their parents are dying. Humanity is becoming more shitty as time goes on.
Problem is people only fixate on the negatives of humanity never the positives like this it’s rare but it’s just Sweet, people want to see this they might inspire to do it more
Omg when the people started cheering, I cried. I have seen so many videos of animals alerting humans to other animals in danger. That’s something to remember if you ever see an animal in distress or behaving erratically and you don’t know why. They may be trying to alert you of something
I saw a show about a pet pig alerting humans to it's elderly owner having a heart attack and not being able to get up in her home. Animals are more emotional then people would think.
I don't want to be that guy... but imma be that guy. That baby wouldn't have fallen down there without humans making the hole, the mother wouldn't get shocked if it weren't for the humans putting them there, there would be way more elephants if humans weren't poaching them.

The fact that Buddhist monks and government soldiers are working together to save a baby elephant is so beautiful. Is this Thailand? Bless these beautiful people.
It really shows how intelligent the mother is that she was able to wait nearby while her child was being helped (and she obviously can't be sure if these people were good or bad) To be able to override maternal instincts for a possible long term strategy is indicative of a high level of intelligence. We don't give animals enough credit. Especially large mammals.
@@TheManlyVIK I think that's right, but I think most animals are far more intelligent than we realize. Also in extreme circumstances like being under attack, they help each other even if they come from different species.

@@jasna4752 if your child is injured and a doctor is operating on him, will you rush in or let them help? Why assume that the elephant can't understand that her child was being helped and that she needs to let the humans do their thing. I have seen similar behaviour multiple times from female dogs who call strangers for help, and let them handle newborn pups in danger while hanging back. The very fact that so many people are so surprised, such that they think its impossible is proof of how little we understand animals beyond anatomy.
In reality, more people are good then bad, but we are programmed to be full of hate and fear towards others, because if not we would unit against the people who are controlling this world, like it happend very often in the past.

God bless those kind souls who saved the tiny soul and show them the true path.
You know animals don’t have souls right?
@@christopherlee5902 On what do you base this belief?
@@christopherlee5902 what is a soul?
Christopher Lee, you know we don’t have souls either right? There is no such thing as soul. We are exactly like them and they are exactly like us. Nothing special about humans. Love, compassion, sadness, attachment, fear etc is built into the very fabric of life.
All living things have a soul . This soul is nothing else but our conscience , our mentality . We can either fill it up with positive energy by being good to others , thinking positively , gaining knowledge etc or fill it up with negative energy . Ultimately heaven and hell is nothing else but our state of mind .
I think there is a special heaven for people who saves animals. God bless them!
They’re already living it. To have a heart like that is to be in your own paradise.
Not only this...they need to have the right heart...and goes in the right path to be in heaven
