+Aditya Khanna Technically, it did. After all, one of the first things they said was "We are going to explain how the Snapchat filters work" then the talked about computer vision... so ya..
This was surprisingly in-depth. I almost ignored this because I though it was going to be "The camera scans your face and applies decorations" kinda non-explanation. Well done Joss.

Woop woop! AR is so freaking cool. As a IT-engineer student it is so cool to hear this discussed among the public so commonly. It is amazing that we live in an age where huge advances in so many different and important IT fields are being made. AR, Machine learning, Big data, cloud.. mobiles even. And that it is being made available to the public so easily. It really feels like we are on the runway for a new era. I choose to be optimistic about what that era might contain :)

I've been catching up on old videos after recently subscribing to this channel and Joss is definitely at the top of my list for narrators. She doesn't make each sentence sound like a question, a habit that is too prevalent on RUclips.
I'm sure it tickles the people who these comments are made about that so many people think they are beautiful and personable. As long as the comments aren't overly personal or crude, I'm sure it makes most of these people smile when they check the comments on their videos and are told by a few dozen strangers that they are personable and beautiful. I think it's nice.
thank you for mentioning the security aspects of face recognition!! It is a pretty big deal and people need to be aware of exactly what they are providing companies like snapchat and Facebook
The makeup filters always make me look weird bc the eyebrows don't go to my eyebrows and the lipstick goes either noticeably smaller or larger than my lips. Can't a girl just enjoy some snapchat filters?!?
Joe Nome It was sarcastic, I meant the overall RUclips comments turning unoriginal debate. >>Damn last time I responded so early to a comment I became a father.

Excellent video. I've always been obsessed with camera data imaging. Running anything in real time from a mobile device is a leap forward. Snapchat's tech acquisition was both a bargain and privacy advocates' nightmare. Thanks for including both perspectives. I love engineering and augmented reality. Very inspiring.
Uh... Quantum computing already exists.. The theory behind it exists and it works in tests. Are you a master in CompSci? Or are you just a random youtuber trying to discredit a science that you don't understand?
You do realize to actually build a quantum computing machine, you need computer scientists, right? Physicists create the theory and math behind it, but a compsci is the one who will design, engineer, and build a quantum computer. Theories are great and all, but you can't exactly have quantum computing without a computational machine. That's the difference between theory and application of the theory. But you won't understand that until you're done with highschool, so you still have time, so don't worry.
Kristian Szabo Quantum computing is COMPLETELY different from CS. Quantum is a differently form and level of computing. Computer science has Steven Wang says, is the study of the algorithms and manipulating numbers to be more efficient at tasks. Quantum is completely dependent on Physics as it goes into a deeper level of particles which makes it more capable in less space. If it gets figured out, it will branch out into Quantum Computer Science.

Vox, the production value of your video are amazing. keep it up
Where is it illegal to where a facemask?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-mask_laws
Vox I was just wondering if there was more detail for the US as that article isnt as specific. Thanks for the reply tho :D
+Vox So Vox actually uses Wikipedia. Thought professionals didn't do that.
+Monarch Wikipedia is your friend. Most the time anyway.

Do another video on hip hop.
The one where they deconstructed rap lines was my favorite video from them.

+Nemojerhi it's called rappers deconstructed. I'm a saxophone player so I love learning new things about how music is made up.

Next: supermarkets will buy your face data from fb and sell you products in real time when you enter the store.
Supermarkets will scan your face at the self service, see what you like on Facebook ETC, then put up advertisements just for you.

I’m so ugly that Snapchat couldn’t recognize my face
I really hate the comments all over RUclips saying "this girl/guy is so cute/hot". It's getting annoying.
I'm sure it tickles the people who these comments are made about that so many people think they are beautiful and personable. I know right! Don't they know it's politically incorrect to compliment how someone looks?
+David A. But often they disregard all the work done by them in the video.
Aditya Khanna Maybe let the video authors complain, rather than crusading on their behalf on an assumption?
It is an upgrade over the usual RUclips comments though. The only thing that annoys me is that she's a woman, not a girl.. Big difference.
I hate the doggie filter with a passion -_-
and me. not cute. i say this as a girl
Same!
Fari yes, so?
you know whats impressive?
that I actually took time to watch the whole video.............
