The bugs kinda ruin the fun but there is potential that many modders have brought out.
Absolutely beautiful stuff. Removing almost all limitations for tool uses and allowing players to shoot phantom blades AND throw bombs in mid air before hitting the ground is gorgeous and makes room for a lot of creativity. I also love the option to have spinning descents be consistent and basically have it always be the prioritised action.

This is actually insane, and goes far beyond what I thought was ever going to be possible in terms of Unity modding, but also just AC modding in general.
1:16 Random tip for colour palettes, it’s MUCH easier to match more subdued colours. Maxing out saturation is a surefire way to get a focus colour, but doing it for all your colours will almost always result in something garish. A bright yellow is going to look a lot better next to browns and greys than it will ever look with orange, (which is basically just a really saturated brown) for example
There should have already been a plethora of mods for this game but unfortunately everyone abandoned this game back in 2014 with only a spike in interest this past year or 2. Everyone loves it now.
I mean ac modding has only really gotten any steam in the past 3 or 4 years, and mods like this have only been really possible recently due to new modding tools in the community.

Just a consistent catch ledge is pretty good. I wonder if they figure out a way to move bodies. And what I would absolutely love is to add a musket with bayonet and give it the spear animations
It would be great if these features, like using tools while jumping or hidden, could be applied to other games in the series. Imagine how much easier and smoother it would be to do full synch in games like AC III and Brotherhood if we had features like these!
If they're able to make side ejects and unsafe wall ejects manual and make them work like the old games, then Unity would turn into the Assassin's Creed we never got, but the one we deserved all along
No need though, although u can still do manual side ejects, and unlike syndicate jumps in unity can be fatal too. For me, the mods fix most thing that bugging me, consistent wall grab, no longer need to worry about misfire, custom visual gear. Rest are just icing on the cake....

Unity was always my favorite AC, his story wasn't much, but I liked that the present was presented as if you were seeing it in real time, almost like what is now an alternate reality series (very similar to AC1's security camera angle). I love Arno and the game had too many mechanical things (although admittedly the human shields were missing and so on) and I was lucky enough to play without bugs and enjoyed it like a kid.
We definitely need a mod that makes muskets less terrible. They need more range, like double it, enough to where pistols aren’t able to compete with the dedicated gun weapon. I haven’t tried or used blunderbusses though so I can’t say how good they are, but your normal muskets need that range boost
Syndicate needs this level of attention in mods aswell! Imagine if someone made a mod that puts Jacob in late 1800s paris, as we already have all the stuff to make that setting from syndicate and unity. It could be set during the bombings due to the workers riots. Re-use the bomber AI from syndicate, and there you go. Arno cluld visit England during napoleon's assault breif on the country. Lydia could get a bigger map, with day and night cycle and zeppelins to climb on like in ww2 from unity. So many cool ideas the two games could benefit from now that mods are blowing up.
I cannot wait to see what comes next for the Unity modding community. I genuinely love this game and find myself coming back to it at least once a year. Just the new color pattern customization options and the hood removing mods alone give me inspiration to buy a copy on PC just to mod.
How I wish I could get this on console, this is how unity should have been. Just a shame that it takes modders to actually make a game great where ubi let us down and rushed it out
Great video. One issue I have with Unity is the contextual button mapping. For example, to roll, you need to press X (or A) while in direct combat, which makes it impossible to evade shots coming from above outside conflicts. If a mod could map the COVER action to work with L2+X (or LT+A) and leave X (or A) exclusively for rolling, it would solve one of the major problems of the game regarding shooters.
There actually is one, but it's a little buggy, so I ended up not including it in the vid! You can find it on Nexus though and maybe it'll get updates in the future.
I would love if someone also moded, ac origins regular assasin takedown/animation and swaps it out with the rare animation you do when you assassinate an enemy in a not restricted area. Its the animation where you stab your enemy in hips from behind or in the stomach from forward. Could be cool to use thet animation when you infiltrating a fort or something like that in a restricted. that animation looks so much better and its much faster to do than the other animation.
I always looked forward to see modders fixing some small things in the game, but i never see something this AMAZING! I hope you continue doing this great work and for my personal point of view, i preferer focus on immersion and everthing that comes with it; try to fix the sync with the coop or try to fix the game immersion brake about some really annoying little stuffs, that can completely make the game, well... Annonying. Love the work

If you can remap your controller, then you could assign one button to make it press the appropriate keyboard prompt. Controller support might also come in a future update of the mod.
I think Unity and Origins have great modding potential in assassins creed games Both are great games in general have great features (i dislike origins parkour, but there are some really good features in it, also you can cut the grind by cheat engine and trainers, theres also now like trainers you can use to make infinite speed. It was in a video or something). I really love how carts work in origins, modding could really unlock origins potential, chracter swap, maybe flying or something. And the things we can do in discovery tour mode unlocking some stuff in the game, we could also modify parkour a bit to make it more flowy or stuff if its possible in future or just like the crazy stuff that is possible in gta games.

God I know I’m a bit late to this video but the sans culottes set is my favorite armor set except for the bracers and belt. Only problem is that it’s hideous so I use the master assassin outfit so I can still see the phantom blade while aiming. I’d love to use some better looking armor without giving up sans culottes stats.
To some extent this already does! Crouch is more responsive and a bunch of other fixes will make this smoother to play, even if you played the game exactly as you did before.
So while using the hood removal feature from ACFixes and the Outfit Transmog Manager I noticed arnos ponytail is removed, looked around and the author of Outfit Manager said it was an issue with his mod. However you seem to have it working together without any bugs by the looks of it, did you do anything special with your installation?
Ubisoft should take a look at the modders for their games and use this as inspiration for how they could improve the assassins experience in future titles.
I just uninstalled Unity exactly 5 DAYS AGO and now i see this video! I just couldn't handle the visual bugs and wonky AI anymore but if the mods you said are just restriction removers, I'll give Unity another shot in the future once the mods have more content.
If we can make an actual event maker for ac unity... Just how much more can we add to this game. And also adding animations and perfecting the stealth system and combat enhancement.
Although it is cool to have an OP Arno, some of these features would really affect the risk to reward ratio of the game. Phantom blade being usable from hanging state, a perch and other positions is fine, it was even advertised in a trailer but, smoke bombs being throwable from every position is too OP. Unity emphasized either on crowd blending or using rooftops as your safe space but that gave the player a challenge that now, with a safe area, how can I engage the enemy. By being able to throw a bomb at any spot, that challenge is gone, since it allows the player to kill 4 to 5 enemies instantly. Phantom blade, only allows for one kill so it doesn't break the structure by much. Still, really cool mods.
This looks awesome. I have a fairly early new playthru in French language to brush up on my rusty abilities. Going to have to try this out. Some stuff looks a touch OP, but mostly sensible. When I have played this game, I get periodic hard lags where the game basically freezes up for about 10 seconds. I just find cover and chill for a bit. Not sure if it's loading or what, since it doesn't seem to be attached to moving around through the map. I wonder if there's a fix for that. Computer hardware is pretty robust, 16gb DDR IV, msi gaming laptop, 6th Gen with gtx 965M. The game runs fine with high graphical quality except for these periodic chugs. Dropping display settings a lot only improves it mildly. Game runs off of an m.2 SSD with 3.2gbps (tested in crystal disk) so I dunno wtf the problem is.

People modding Unity 9 years after it’s release (God damn, been that long already?) to make it the near perfect AC games tells so much. Don’t see that with the others. Tells so much potential and hope. And to be real with you, despite a near decade from release, Unity still holds up today I say! Still blows my mind, as it did back in 2014. Aside from gameplay and graphics, I really do miss the old Assassins Creed way of performance. So much life and amazingness in the movements of the characters especially their face despite the quality not being as advanced now. Even with advancements, the new AC games lack my attention in performances besides the voice acting. The faces don’t tell, they look numb and the movements don’t feel right. It’s like they’re not telling a story anymore…but I have hope…one day things will turn around. Mirage is the start
Excuse me I love Arno's Trellier outfit but unfortunately ubisoft didn't care about his outfit in the game, isn't there a way to add gloves and all the details of the outfit to be exactly like Trellier.

I tried this mod but now Arno doesn't do parkour down moves as easily as before, and that spinning sideway ascend on ledges wont trigger as often (very sticky surface like Syndicate), and i find him skipping ledges.. what did i do wrong? Also the Loot prompt keep appearing even in combat. EDIT: Oh I'm sorry never mind the questions, i unticked the "easier 180 degrees turn" and "hide sword while in disguise" and parkour works as usual now.
Crazy how much more fun this makes the game, give modders a few more years and this game is going to have top tier AC gameplay probably

Ubisoft has always made it very difficult to mod their games. Just look at their old classics (AC 1 to Revelations, PoP, etc.) virtually zero mods.

this is what i felt with a lot of the side objectives in the older AC games: Just things to frustrate the player with, not to challenge them.

The transmog is REALLY neccessary. I love the Cavalery saber but the stat suck at endgame . Really good mod !

No reshades at all, just running at 4k with maxed settings (except for AA).

Have you downloaded the Hood Down version by any chance? You need the regular version, ACUFixes takes care of the hood.

Unity emphasized either on crowd blending or using rooftops as your safe space but that gave the player a challenge that now, with a safe area, how can I engage the enemy. By being able to throw a bomb at any spot, that challenge is gone, since it allows the player to kill 4 to 5 enemies instantly. Phantom blade, only allows for one kill so it doesn't break the structure by much. Still, really cool mods.

Some stuff looks a touch OP, but mostly sensible.
When I have played this game, I get periodic hard lags where the game basically freezes up for about 10 seconds. I just find cover and chill for a bit. Not sure if it's loading or what, since it doesn't seem to be attached to moving around through the map.
I wonder if there's a fix for that.
Computer hardware is pretty robust, 16gb DDR IV, msi gaming laptop, 6th Gen with gtx 965M. The game runs fine with high graphical quality except for these periodic chugs. Dropping display settings a lot only improves it mildly. Game runs off of an m.2 SSD with 3.2gbps (tested in crystal disk) so I dunno wtf the problem is.

Hello, I have a question, is the slow motion sequence doable with a controller? Because I only see an activation key for keyboard. Can we asign shortcuts for controller buttons?

People modding Unity 9 years after it’s release (God damn, been that long already?) to make it the near perfect AC games tells so much. Don’t see that with the others. Tells so much potential and hope.
And to be real with you, despite a near decade from release, Unity still holds up today I say! Still blows my mind, as it did back in 2014. Aside from gameplay and graphics, I really do miss the old Assassins Creed way of performance. So much life and amazingness in the movements of the characters especially their face despite the quality not being as advanced now. Even with advancements, the new AC games lack my attention in performances besides the voice acting. The faces don’t tell, they look numb and the movements don’t feel right. It’s like they’re not telling a story anymore…but I have hope…one day things will turn around. Mirage is the start

Excuse me I love Arno's Trellier outfit but unfortunately ubisoft didn't care about his outfit in the game, isn't there a way to add gloves and all the details of the outfit to be exactly like Trellier.

What your in-game graphical settings ? I am asking because when i turn off anti-aliasing (due to low fps) it cause the game to have annoying edges and i have not seen this in your game, did you changed anything ?
Everything maxed out at 4k, except antialiasing, which I have set to FXAA.
I tried this mod but now Arno doesn't do parkour down moves as easily as before, and that spinning sideway ascend on ledges wont trigger as often (very sticky surface like Syndicate), and i find him skipping ledges.. what did i do wrong? Also the Loot prompt keep appearing even in combat.
EDIT: Oh I'm sorry never mind the questions, i unticked the "easier 180 degrees turn" and "hide sword while in disguise" and parkour works as usual now.
