It's funny how she whistles, with her beak like that, it really warms my heart! It's really sad for me, one of my female cockatiels was singing and imitating the songs the 2 males were singing 24/7, for 3/4 days. The other 3 cockatiels in their separate cage were silent for that time. But then Idk what happen, she just stopped singing because we had to move all of them inside (the weather got rainy). Sometimes she makes the happy noise the males do but that's it, no singing. Since her birth she was a really shy bird, her plume didn't grow but she could observe others and imitate their behaviour.
This bird is a hen - it's a normal pearl which have yellow faces regardless of gender. Hens keep their pearling but boys lose it during their first molt at around 6 months. She's so cute and talented!
@@roshanrejik5500 I've had male chicks imitate their dad's whistles and words as early as four months. It is my experience that the tune/vocabulary "learning" period begins between four and six months and extends to about 18 months before the bird has learned just about everything it's going to learn. There are exceptions. I once had a male pick up a new phrase at Age 4. Males will continue to speak and sing their full repertoire for ten or twelve years. After that, the bird tends to lose some of its vocabulary even though it will continue to talk and sing well into his twenties.
Unless there is a definite gender dna test, there is a possibility that it is a boy, I see slight actions of heart wings but this also depends how old the cockatiel is, and after the first molt of it is make, they don’t always lose all the markings on the first molt
Y’all, not only males sing. Some females like this one can be influenced. A prime example as to why she is a female is her pearl markings - in the description, the user remarks that she is 9 months old. A male cockatiel would have molted it’s baby pearl feathers away much earlier before. This bird is female.
@@lucidcolorss the cheek patches are very light, female cockatiels have darker cheek patches (usually). Also, male cockatiels start trying to talk at around 4 or 5 months old, this one is 9 months old. Which means that he hasn't been talking for that long and already knows how to wolf whistle. Female cockatiels wouldn't learn to talk that quickly
DanielDeSeason Yeah, no. Every word of what you just said is incorrect. I should know- I have a female cockatiel myself. Males have darker cheddar cheeks due to the vibrancy in which helps attract a mate. They can be extremely vocal right after weaning. I also know a number of people with male cockatiels who have started to sing much, much earlier than your idea of when they begin. Notice how this FEMALE cockatiel also has pearl markings around her neck. Anyone should know that male cockatiels with pearl markings molt them very early into their lives- during their first few months even. This one, however, was said to have been nine months old and yet still has pearl markings. Good try though. 👏
@@lucidcolorss I have a female cockatiel myself too. And I'm pretty sure that males have brighter colors to attract females, of course you have mutations where the cheeks are lighter but yellow streaks with the orange is male and grey streaks with orange is female. I'm just going off from what other bird owners told me
My boy was exactly like this, whistle, screaming a lot and he wants to be the loudest in the house, his baby feather was like this and after shedding it becomes dark grey with whites but the face becomes very yellowish colour...
This isn't a female I'm 100% sure! U can see his cheeks,it's really red. Female grey cockatiels have less yellow on they're head, while males have more yellow on they're head!
Lovely cokateil ..they look so enticing when they whistle.. but how you sure that your bird is female and not male because I heard only male whistles..I have also just bought pearl .. 😉
Hi . If I buy a chick cockatiel. Irrespective to its gender if I teach to make whistle sound will they do?? I have one person seeling it. So pls tell me your suggestion. I am planning to get it in a couple of days
Females do whistle but probably not like this one. Can depend if they're kept in their own or not, I guess. I've grown certain that mine is a female - who has whistled.
it's not because you have 3 females who don't sing that it's impossible, it's relatively rare but impossible I don't think. And then the owner of this bird may have done some DNA testing or seen this bird lay eggs so I think they are the best able to determine their gender right ?
their beaks look so funny when they whistle!
Like:
EEEEEE
EEEEEEEEE
EEE
EEEEEE
True 😂😂😂
You know I've seen a Cockatoo do that too when they make Baby noises
Maybe has to do how they breathe when singing/whistling

Love how its beak is just happily up the whole time
Oh look a wild tinkeregirl
She is so cute like that and her tongue sticks out
you should update this with new video of same bird 1.5 years later - certainly would confirm gender at this point to see what it molted out as.
This bird is a hen - it's a normal pearl which have yellow faces regardless of gender. Hens keep their pearling but boys lose it during their first molt at around 6 months.

in which month of age male cockatiel will start singing

I have a female cockatiel named Solar Flare that's around 9 - 10 months now that was dancing and whistling back when I was playing this video! 😆😆
Yep she is a he! ^_^
Looking like a boy to me. Lovely anyway 😍
Only after 1 year it is possible to determine the cockatiel's gender by pearls on wings :-). This bird looks like male :-).
My bird is just a 4 month old baby. Still shy. But I love her
in which month of age male cockatiel will start singing
Not sure, but this could be a male in the molting stage.
in which month of age male cockatiel will start singing
Yes sir. Genius.. and after the molting male will become a normal grey .
What a cutie!
