Thank you! Yes, the internet is brutal. Luckily I have a very thick skin, and feel bad for people who throw insults at strangers. There’s obviously something going on internally with them.
@@RisaDoesMakeup my daughter is also self-conscious about her nose and loves the Patrick Ta nose contour brush. I recommended that to you in a past video. We all have our vulnerabilities, and we are all beautiful regardless of those!
@RisaDoesMakeup I've been watching your videos for years. Not going to lie that I have noticed this. But it's never ever bothered me. I've always felt you have so much more to add. 💖
I'll never understand why someone thinks they have the right to tell someone they don't like someone else's nose. Why are people so comfortable being SO NASTY?! Risa... you are STUNNING.
I’m absolutely trying all of these techniques this morning when I get ready for work. I also want to say that I have been watching you forever and I never once noticed your nose. I think you’re absolutely beautiful; and as a more mature woman I really appreciate having someone like me to get fantastic advice and tips from.
Honestly, I've been watching your videos for several years and never noticed anything wrong with your nose until you pointed it out. We all have our imperfections: no one is perfect. You are beautiful inside and out.
Interesting hacks! That foundation application hack is how I put on cream blush. Love the brow hack! I'm not on Tik Tok or Instagram. RUclips is it for me. I even enjoy podcasts more on RUclips than just listening to them. Thank you for sharing these with us, Risa.
Have been using the foundation on the hand hack since viewing this video…game changer! I think it works because it distributes the foundation more evenly across the bristles therefore avoiding caking. So good!
These are some of my favorite videos because I'm one of those gals who won't download TikTok, so a HUGE thank you for these tips! I'm excited to put them to the test tomorrow when I paint my face. 😊
Risa, you are obviously beautiful but what I love most is your willingness to be real & vulnerable. Us real women (mature or not) appreciate this as you remind us that we are all most beautiful when we keep it real and remember what is most important ❤
I love all three of these easy and effective makeup hacks, Risa! I trust and appreciate your recommendations, and the proof of their trustworthiness is on your beautiful face. 💗
Loved these tips! Especially the palm of the hand for mixing product into the brush -- I've been doing this for a little while already because I never wanted to put anything on the back of my hand since I always have sunscreen there already and don't want to rub it off. I love it! It's great for applying liquid and cream blushes more evenly and naturally. Didn't know I had discovered something on my own that other people might actually like! Have a great day and thank you.
Ok so I tried the foundation trick and I cannot believe how amazing that technique is!! I’ve only tried it two days and I only use the maybelline skin tint but I put a pretty decent big dot of it in the palm of my hand then swirled my N16 Nikki Larose brush in it and for the most part it was enough to do my whole face and you are right! It makes the foundation just go on so much better. Thank you for the tip!!
Small changes, but I can totally understand why these tips are effective! There was a content creator yrs ago that got me into tapping the residual base product on the applicator to the front of the brows for a softer inner brow. It changed my world then, too!
Your makeup gives you a perfect finished look. I love watching your videos from start of your makeup to the finished look. Beautiful every time. I’m 64 this year and just watching is so informative.💕
I love the brow tip! Also, side note...this is the first I'm hearing something about your nose. My first thought was - your nose is perfect! With or without makeup! 💕
Hi Risa I love all of your videos but never leave a comment until now. The foundation hack in the palm of your hand is amazing! Can’t believe the difference with the appearance of my foundation when applied this way! Keep all the great videos coming! Stay cool in Vegas
Holy moly. As much as I loved foundation throughout my makeup years, I've been hating it more and more now that I turned 70. So I picked one of my drugstore bottles of foundation and tried the hack you demonstrated. I buffed that foundation into my hand to the point it practically vaporized, and patted and buffed it onto my face. It is a gamechanger!! I don't think I'll ever apply foundation any other way after this. It's almost like applying a soft filter of color to the skin, rather than a liquid base. I used Elf's buffing brush. Thank you, Risa.
I have done the hack you showed with Stephanie Holland, and has been an absolute game changer for me!!!! My makeup has stayed on from 6am to 12 am, and it still looks good!!! I'm like... who knew this simple trick would do wonders on me???!!! For reference, my skin has been going crazy lately, and my makeup has ended up being cakey by the end of the night, so this hack is amazing!!!! Thank you!!!!
THANK YOU!!! the eyebrow hack really is the 2nd best makeup hack ever! 1st best is the eyeliner flick at corner of eyes u showed for hooded eyes YEARS ago 😂
This was such an amazing and helpful video. I can't wait to try ALL of the tips/tricks. Who would have thought that putting foundation in the "palm" of ones hand could make such a difference. And, the brow trick.....YES! I have been trying to get that effect as well and can't wait to try it. I just want to say that I am so sad that people treated you so poorly when you were in middle school. Kids can be really mean and not realize that words "cut" and can stick with that person for a very long time. I think you are absolutely stunning. Really. I am known for my absolute candor and bluntness so I really mean it and your nose is beautiful too. You are helping all of us with your knowledge and expertise every day and I appreciate you so much!
Risa, I wanted to let you know I tried the foundation hack & it absolutely works. My foundation looked perfect! Ordering the pencil for the nose contour! Thank you, plz make more of these. Hugs 💋
Risa! I love your videos and whatever you or anyone else thinks, I love your nose!!!!!! You are simply stunning. Thanks for all of your recommendations. I have purchased items that you use and HAVE NOT been disappointed yet. Thank you!
The foundation hack is better than to wasteful direct to the face application. However, as a longtime MUA, nothing beats the fingertip method, followed up by a sponge or brush stippling. Your fingertips melt the foundation better and get into the nooks and crannies better. Finishing with a sponge or brush ensures a more even finish. Just my opinion. Love your channel!
Risa, thank you so much for bringing us these hacks from TikTok. I love the brow technique. I feel like you, some makeup applications are strengths and some are weaknesses. As a 47 year old, I appreciate all the suggestions.
Love that you dont use filters on your video. Its so much more realistic and your makeup looks awesome. When i was researching getting my brows tattooed i found a place and the lady that did it told me how bad microblading can be, and that she did not do microblading but used the nano blading/ feathering machine and technique. Now that im in the US i have had trouble finding anyone who uses this technique though. She was also very detailed in explaining what colours she was mixing to use on me for that very reason, so they do not fade out to a blue/ greenish colour. And ive never had an issue with her work.
Makes sense about the foundation. Swirling it in the palm is warming it some so it goes on already in that warmed up state instead of cold (and possibly a little more thick) so it settles and applies more smooth. Always love your tips and tricks !! Thanks Risa
I have been watching your videos for quite some time & never noticed anything about your nose. You are absolutely beautiful. I love all your videos and am especially thrilled with these unique tips I cannot wait to try, particularly the brows because I have very sparse brows & I’m also blonde, which in my opinion is even more difficult to shade in & look natural. Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge & expertise.
I used all these hacks this morning, and my makeup turned out perfect! The foundation hack is awesome, and I under paint, so to me, that says a lot! Thank you!
3:18 I tried this. I’m 64, fair skinned, red head, never took care of my skin. Bad sun damage. I never liked foundations, always wore powders even today not that I haven’t tried them. I have a hat box full of them, OTC, and to me they all highlighted my mouth chin area and not in a good way. I tried this using No7 Lift And Luminous. It actually worked to my surprise. Held on all day. I’ll try a different one today and see but was impressed. Do anytime now I use foundation I’ll use this method!
I use a glass palette for my foundation, I swirl it on the palette as you did on your hand than I stipple like you do. My personal preference. You look beautiful inside and out. Your personality and warmth shine thru. Much more important than physical appearance 😊❤️💄
I’m absolutely grateful for these new makeup tips. I don’t have TikTok so this is very helpful. Your makeup application looks so good. Thank you for this video.
Oh Please, Risa! They don't know what they're beautiful. speaking about because your nose is fine just the way it is. I'm also loving how your makeup is flawless as usual.
Love all these tips. I’ll definitely trying them out. Just to let you know I have learned so much from you over the years and can’t believe you’re almost 51 years old, you haven’t aged a day.
Thank you thank you thank you! I can definitely use all of these hacks 😊 I don’t do tiktok or even instagram, just RUclips so I really appreciate you posting these types of videos ❤ your makeup always looks gorgeous and on point! But I do get how ya can always be watching for ways to improve technique. I never noticed your nose until you pointed it out in another video awhile back 🤷♀️ I think you are absolutely stunning! Have a great rest of your day! Hugs! 💖🌸
Thank you Risa. I have done this method for a long time. I feel like it warms up the foundation and makes it smoother 🤷🏼♀️ Once I started watching other people doing makeup on apps and no one was doing it. I thought wow maybe I shouldn’t be doing it this way. I started trying a few different ways. I’m going back to it now 😂.
I am definitely trying these! Mono would have ever thought about applying a very small amount of powder to your eyebrows! Thanks for sharing as I am one of those who refuse to get tic tok!
Risa your beautiful..i cant even believe how people could say anything less..i love watching your videos.. you're so inspiring..cannot wait to try these hacks..thank you so much..❤
I’ve powdered my penciled in brows for many years. They were very dark & thick when I was younger and back then, heavy brows were faux paux. So after I corrected my over plucking with eyebrow pencil I’d powder them with my tinted Estée Lauder matte powder. I never felt anxious that my brows were being scrutinized again. 😂
The foundation application tip is AMAZING! I can’t even believe how or why it works so well, but my application looks so much better, I can’t even believe it! It’s even, and blends effortlessly. Thanks for sharing this!
I do my brows after i put foundation and set with powder. Sometimes I use two different color pencils, light on front and darker on tail.. but mostly I use one pencil all over by doing lightly the shape on top and bottom then fill it to the tail and lastly I do the front by doing hairlike strokes (because I need to extend my brows since they are sparse and far apart) and then brush with spooly to fade them even further. They look natural not boxed in and they stay put because they stick to the powder underneath and do not slide away. It takes a minute to do them. Try doing this way
Oh Risa, this video is a blessing. I am pinning this to my Pinterest board. The brow hack speaks to me. I lost most of my brows due to my oral daily chemo so they will never grow back. I needed a more natural technique other than a harsh line that’s just thickened and dark. Thank you so very much. You continue to knock me out with your generosity and beautiful spirit. I’m not as vocal on here as I used to be, but I’m watching!! Sending hugs. ❤❤❤

Can u do a tutorial on you eyeshadow look? You probably have one similar but it’s really pretty. Your makeup is very pretty & so are you! Thank you for the hacks :)
For years I used the back of hand dabbing foundation method with both brushes and sponges. Then I used your palm swirl method and OMG what a difference! Not only was my foundation application even it was faster. I tried this technique using a brush and sponge with the same results. Although my brush requires a little extra cleaning it is worth it. Thank you so much for sharing this tip😊. Your videos stay in my top 3 MUA video list ❤ for tips and tricks like this. Donna PS your nose is fine and your lovely!
Omg ive done the swirl in palm thing since the 80s when I used to mix different foundations in my palm with my finger, and then use my hands to put it on my skin. Better than back of the hand as you can press it on to the skin straight from the palm.
I have always thought that your nose looks PERFECT already!! I know that we are always our own worst critic…but I would have to think that anyone who criticizes anything on you would only DREAM to look as AMAZING as you do in middle age!! I just turned 56 and you are definitely my go to person for beauty and fashion advice!!
I appreciate you sharing these tips and by the way, don’t listen to those haters. Your nose is perfect. Oh and I love how your brows came out. I must try it! Have a wonderful day Risa!
I just tried the foundation hack ,and it does work !!!! I knew Stephanie looked familar lol i watch the Housewives lol .i dont do tik tok either. I always applied foundation to my brush then buffed it in ,but i do see a difference!
Your nose and your entire face is beautiful. There's no such thing as perfection. People can be so overly critical.
Thank you! Yes, the internet is brutal. Luckily I have a very thick skin, and feel bad for people who throw insults at strangers. There’s obviously something going on internally with them.

Thanks for these tips, Risa!! I’m definitely all in on the foundation hack!
I learned about the foundation in palm from Katie Jane Hughes, she calls it "priming the brush" and it works great!
Great techniques. I'm going to give these a try. I'm also one of those who don't want to get into tik tok. So thank you.
OMG I tried your foundation hack. What a difference! I no longer see the foundation settling in my pores. No more obvious pores. Thank you.
Love your brows!! Thank you for showing these tips and hacks. Thank you again. I am obsessed now

Wow Risa! Awesome hack. Thanks for sharing here. I don’t do TikTok. I can’t wait to try these tomorrow!! ❤❤❤
I’ve seen this technique not long ago…. It’s pretty cool!
