This is why I also have a Roland TD-50 kit.....Quality, Reliability, and Durability!!! I don't have to worry about my drums or modules quitting on me during a show! I don't have the time or patience to be returning faulty equipment back to the manufacturer for repair!!!!!
RolandChannel why is then I can’t buy the spare parts for my Td20x module it still goes great but lcd screen can’t be replaced. Was going to upgrade to Td50 but this experience has put me of Roland after twenty years using Roland’s .
I did Wills mortgage for the purchase of his home in Orlando way back when he had just joined Dark New Day, and can tell you that he is the nicest, most humble rock star you could ever meet, and still is to this day. So happy for your success Will.
I believe that Amy and Will are the anchor of that band and Tim and Troy are the completion of that anchor, with either one of those four gone it would not be the same anymore , but it seems to me like Will and AMY are the main two foundation pieces of that band.
This shows you how incredibly talented evanescence is to understand all of this stuff and do this incredible musical creation is beyond me I love this music stuff
I started understanding drums only recently and it's thanks to Will's part in Evanescence. This video is really cool. Imma go google some more stuff now. And nicely edited too, Roland. Well done. That cuts from live to interview to live are a cool move. Good use of the footage you have.
Roland is all about flexibility and I love my TD 30 kit to death with many samples and so much to choose from in samples which makes any drummer more versatile. The argument should not be accoustic or electronic it should be what serves the song and how can I help in that endeavor
I used to play in a showband back in the day and used a electronic drum set and it was Midi'd to the sequencer of the keyboards and so all the kits, pitch modulations and samples changed automatically in each song. All I had to think about was playing.... Great to see more drummers playing E kits live.
@RadioChannel, Will talks about how great that brain is and how useful it is but never mentioned the model. Can you please tell me what the model of that brain?
I'm looking to get the upgrade thingy, snare, ride and module... but man it sucks that Roland is so far being on their screen and editing user interface. Also I'm scared they will come out with a TD-60 or whatever they will call it that is full USB and I'll end up needing all new gear because the ride and snare are dated by then too...
@@joannaev8602 it really wouldn't have been too overpowering at all. All he would have had to do was turn the drum mics down. Maybe play a little soft. Its done all the time.
@@okioki1131 because real acoustic drums are way more fun than electric drums, especially live. Electric drums are for practice. I just find using electric drums live kind of lame.
Zach Cline The triggers dont matter, its the samples and sensitivity settings. Its too clean and consistent. The notes dont breathe into each other. Its sad that in 2019 they still cant make audio samples sound good live lol
I went the the concert at Five Points Amphitheater in Irvine to specifically see Will Hunt play and the concert sucked as this isn’t the first time I’ve seen them. The electronic drum kit was horrible and after the show I could hear people bitching about the show on the way out.
In my opinion the difference is still quite large, it is getting better though. Roland needs to start using more pure samples like the pearl mimic pro and atv ad5, they sound a lot better. I personally use my ekit (drum-tec / roland td-25 hybrid) for small gigs but for larger gigs: my tama starclassics are a better choice.
Yeah... okay cool samples... BUT what I would've done is utilized a sample pad/Mallet Kat/LP Percussion Street Cans, LP trash snare, AND... TRIGGERS with a full alt rock/symphonic rock/ live DRUMSET! Probably would've used some suspended cymbals, crotales and definitely some trash crashes, stacks, and a BUNCH of chinas!!!
Good drumming but the Snare sound like ass sorry. The mix overall is better than most e drummers get, I think the snare needs lots of attention. Seems like in the same year 2019 he went right back to Pearl acoustic drums hmmmmm

Great to hear! The Roland engineering team put in a lot of work to make sure our V-Drums instruments are built to last 💪
I only got the Roland HD-3 since April of 2012. I already recorded more than 300 videos since then and my e-drum still like new!
@@astronaut2005drummer ...and many more years to come. Thanks for sharing!

Love Will's drumming! Always intense and on point. A perfect fit for Amy and her music. (Who I simply adore!)

Will you are so amazing, I love how you play, always an inspiration 🤘🏼
Agreed 🙏
Will Hunt you are amazing and a great part of making Evanescence its sound. You and Amy I give all my kudos and thanks for!
I know nothing about the tech involved. What i do know is her music has changed my life
That cut scene when he hits both cymbals then it cuts to live, well played Roland. Well played.
My Number 1 Drummer and Biggest Inspiration
Excelente
Like si estas aquí porque Evanescence lo publicó en sus redes :'). Will eres lo maximo!!
Love Evanescence and Roland!

I’m not a drummer and I’m unfamiliar with the terminology but this is fascinating!
The beast!!

Loved Will in Skrape , awesome band with great music
That was really cool. Excellent usage.

Fuckin underrated beast
I love him 😍😘 the best drummer
how handsome he is
Good!

Using the roland td 50 myself
What they will hunt?
#willhunt ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Who the hell wants to play a full electric kit live??
It was an orchestral setting. A real kit would be too overpowering. They play real kits in their normal rock shows
why not?
Much easier for sound man to control. Direct outs to board.

Electronic drums still sound horrible compared to a well mic’d and engineered kit. Sorry. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I totally agree.
They really do lol...
Ehh ..as far as triggers go ..Ddrum is probably the best out there .But you still get that machine gun effect

A real kit would have sounded so much better.
Her voice gets so old song after song. The band needs a project without her.
you are so amazing.
No, manpower in drumming.
At last one drummer who is using a full electronic kit live instead of just one crappy pd-8 roland pad to trigger a loop...

We are coming to a point that the gap between the e-drums and regular drums are about to be closed. Thanks to the technology.
