Tons of respect for Toyono-san and the VQD Team members & engineers. They went deep and thorough, they invented new solutions as they were working very hard on this even in the middle of the pandemic. The prototype I saw and was invited to try out while @ Roland Japan beginning 2023 already totally blew me away. Now it has come to its perfection. It truly is revolutionary and will hopefully grow to be legendary. As with V-Drums and SPD-SX it might be copied by tons other brands, but they will never reach the same playable result and thus have the same impact on the majority of drummers' daily practice lives. That Q not only stands for Quiet, but also for top notch Quality. Otsukaresama deshita!!
I’m very touched by the dedication of the team at Roland to push drum technology further forward ! Cheers and congratulations on being the best in the world!
The end of the video is so powerful. We only have a short time to make our mark on the world. His efforts will improve that quality of life of thousands of people. Thank you
Because "disturbing" is subjective. There will always be some youtube comment board whiner who will complain and be like "they're not that quiet". You try recording "quiet" and see how it goes. Even with a reference like a different kind of pad, you still can't really know.
@@doublestrokeroll I would have liked some empirical data though, such as differences in noise dB when comparing the quiet version to the normal version, averaged from their testing results. They can state disclaimers about how your mileage may vary depending on your environment, but at least give us some kind of demonstration.
@@LunatiqueRob Sure. I'd agree with that. A noise level reading would have been good to include. But even there, there are factors to consider. Room acoustics etc, can all skew those numbers as well.

Should have named it VDQ106 for "Very Darn Quiet".
it looks like it was made in 1982
Perez Karen Hernandez Jason Williams Carol
Hernandez Brian Perez Jeffrey Lee Mary
Are you kidding me? All that talk and you didn't bother to include a demo of the actual product and how it sounds?
住在公寓,如果沒防音室,買多安靜的鼓組都不現實,鄰居都是會抗議
And the video doesn't even show just how quiet it actually sounds from the perspective of the downstairs or next door neighbors.
Difficult with video. Experience it yourself, it’s astonishing.
