I heard Purple Power Degreaser works to remove waxy buildup on matte plastic bumpers and trim, can anybody confirm that..
According the the respective MSDS, Super Degreaser is 12.5-13.5 ph and Purple Power is 11.2

Quedog KU alum... “TUF shine tire brush”, you can get it on amazon, and i’m sure other sites if you search on google. The brush really makez a difference

Purple Power is a great product. I use it for many cleaning jobs. Use according to directions. I'm not a fan of snake oils, just that this stuff works.

Pretty clean tire for one that hasn't been cleaned in a year. I'll give it a try, though.
Shame Wesley's sold out to Black Magic, the original formula was extremely powerful and absolutely melted grease from tires

I don't know about you guys, but when I either use purple power diluted 4:1, full strength, or super clean diluted 4:1, I still have a considerable amount of browning left on the tires. I don't know if I'm not agitating aggressively enough or if its something else, but that's just my experience. The only thing for me that gets tires completely black is full strength super clean. Yall tell me what you think

Check older videos of Scott for tires and why they are turning brown....it is NOT your cleaner responcible for that
What’s better purple power or super clean ?
AlonSOAMAZING I also thought purple power was the generic version of Castrol Super Clean BC they are so similar. I know for twice as much I’ve never seen a difference using Super Clean. Makes me nervous on alum wheels BC if it dries in the sun before you rinse it and wipe it off it will oxidize aluminum pretty bad in no time

I have a traditional steel wheels(black color) on my car. Can this product be just as effective in cleaning as it does for the alloy wheel?
I bought this today without reading the label or anything. Once home, I see that it says do not use on exterior car surfaces, painted surfaces, wheels, glass and so forth. I bought it to clean really good the underneath edges of my hood before applying vinyl wrap. You have to tuck the vinyl up underneath the hood and other body parts and I wanted to clean and degrease those underneath edges real good. Now I am not sure whether to use this stuff or not.
Dilute it and you'll be fine. You're really not supposed to use any strong cleaner without water.

how about Purple power on wheels? also, how about straight on wheels (factory painted rims)

Yeah it is an alkaline cleaner at ~12.5 - 13.0PH. Maybe just a tad less of an alkaline than Super Clean which is a solid 13.0.
Have you tried flash brown royal on the rims.

HOW'S IT GOING, i HAVE A QUESTION, I HAVE LITTLE BLACK SPECS STUCK IN MY WHEEL PAINT, IVE USED IRON X, WHEEL CLEANER, OVEN CLEANER, TAR CLEANER, VINEGAR, JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THE BOOK AND NOTHING WILL GET IT OFF OF MY WHEEL. WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMMEND? DO YOU HAVE A VIDEO ON THIS?

I’m glad he’s not detailing my truck with that crap. It may work okay to clean the wheel but it’ll ruin your very expensive chrome.

I know in the short 2 weeks I have been viewing you & subbed, that you don't do links because your not into making money.. (I love it) BUT could you add in the description box what you used (need that brush, my dollar store ones don't last long) I pause, take note & go look it up & cont video lol... But then again you educate me enough to avoid my STUPIED request 😁 😂.. I can deal with it..
Maybe the super degreaser goes deeper than purple. I dont know, just a thought.
Hey Scott, have you heard of a company called Car Candy ?
They have a non acid wheel cleaner called Chocolate Thunder. I use it when you can't use an acid based cleaner. ( not that often ) It works so well I purchased a 55gl drum of it. . If you haven't used it i'd be happy to send you some to try. I have enough to last me about 5 years lol
they are a company in florida...yes i know of them..they reached out to me a few months ago about testing their products..i haven't had a chance to use the products but i will hopefully try soon...wow 55gallons!
I relocated to GA from FL and it was the only way they would ship it. As far as their other products, ..Not impressed ..but the wheel cleaner is amazing..

Somebody said it corrodes aluminium so not good under the hood.

No if you look up the dilution ratios it states to use it full power on tires
My purple power isn't foaming like that. Not using the tough shine brush but ive tried purple power straight. what am I doing wrong?
Probably so much crud and grease... keep cleaning and apply again, it will start to foam.

I use it full strength (probably the issue). Caused a weird haziness that I never could correct.
Full strength could be the issue on your wheels. I would mix it 5 parts water to 1 part purple power. IMO
been using it full strength for years now on clear coated alloy and chrome wheels absolutely no issues at all. maintained a great shine on all wheels. the key to using it full strength is to spray and agitate it then rinse all with in 30 to 45 seconds. also never dulled painted wheels. i also use it on my front bumper and grille, same process.

Full strenght may damage wheel paint or clearcoat...
Save yourself a lot of work and product. Spray on and rinse first, then go back for the stubborn places with a brush.
