Great video! You are a great teacher. Do you have a video on MIDI control? How about MIDI sync to other pedals? I also have the RC500 and would love to explore linking these to create a 3-4 track looper!
yes very good and I broke this video down with screenshots and notes, but I have the FS-6U and while you can arrange A and B switches to perform the function of the FS-5U, there are a ton of questions. Like can you have only 1 setting per switch for each song recorded? If you record 10 loops with synced rhythm and a different switch function setting for each song, is that possible, or how does that work? and on and on....so please review the FS6U and the RC-10R [at least I cannot find that anywhere, including on the BOSS support page ]
Reid I love your video and refer to it often. I try to equate your info of pedal functions in a live scenario but i find my brain melting.. from what I've seen the 500 looks more realistic for a live situation. I've been using the Jamman for years and was looking for an uograde
I noticed tbar the start rhytm button on the rc 10r without intro, start the drum groove with a slight delay. It seems that it stsrts when a lift my foot. Did you noticed that? Is there a way to fix that?
Ah,..this Boss Pedal can be easily “synced” with the Boss RC-500 also right!? Could YOU do your excellent vid demo style on this topic? Please!!,..because I’m planning to go this route for my Lopping needs now for Live Performances with the current gear I have plus will be acquiring!! ✨🎛🎶🎸🤘🏾✌🏾🙏🏾
great vid, i gotta say im so bummed you have to stop looper to store what you played, it would have been nice to be able to do this on the fly so you can advance to another memory slot for seamless creations
Very clear, thanks! I was wondering whether it is possible to set the foot switch to 'immediate stop' (loop and drum) AND keep the standard stop control (measure end +ending) when double tapping the boss right button? I would like to keep the ending on some songs, and be able to have an immediate stop for others... I would be grateful for insights! Many thanks! :)
Please help: I bought a boss FS-7 and have tried to assign CTL-1 to memory up and CTL-2 To memory down. The problem is the looper doesn't register when I press the "A" switch on the FS-7. I have a 1/4" patch cable connecting the looper (Exp: out) to the FS-7: B (A&B In). Does anyone know the solution? My first guess is that I need a proper stereo cable and not a pedal patch cable?? If anyone else has encountered this problem, please speak up. Thank you!
thanks a lot for these useful videos! when the looper is used on its own (not synced to the rhythm) is there auto mode where it will record once sound starts playing? (this auto mode exists on the RC-3) i have not found this on the RC-10R, the looper records immediately when pressed. thanks!
I think it does have auto start in Sync mode (longpress Rhythm switch), then start Rhythm : after the intro is played the track 1 Will start recording..
so I bought a momentary footswitch , especially for tap temp, i tap and the tempo changes but resorts back to the stock tempo. I've changed the rhythm preference and tried both setting but no luck. What am I missing
Quick question, with track 1 or 2 control if i am in track 1 and it is playing and I push the track 2 control on the footswitch does it not change track for me? If not that is a big negative for my workflow and I'm really considering this looper.
In order to switch from track1 to track2, without an external footswitch, you need to sync the loop and rhythm and then you can move to track2 by long pressing the rhythm footswitch. Syncing, links the drum part1 and part2 to loop track1 and track2 respectively. You can switch the loop track 1 to track 2 independently of the rhythm only if you purchase an external footswitch.
Yes PLEASE review the FS6U with this pedal.

VERY helpful! Thank you....The target track idea is soooo nice...with the FS-6, this is working out really nicely.
More Helpfull than the original Menual , thx for it! 😀
Thank you for the class! Well done.

Good video on bring educating on using the pedal on this device.
Hi. Can you make a video on how to tap tempo by fs-5u?
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks. Check out the boss sy-1. Interesting and unique
thanks for all the help - question - how do i set ctrl settings to be global settings so they are saved for all
Super helpful! My thanks
thanks great job.. could you explain why rc 10 does not recognize automatically rhythm tempo like rc 3? thank for you work.
According to the manual, the pedal does auto quantize, but in my opinion it doesn't appear to do it as well as something like the rc3
@@ReidsReviews it’s a such a shame I was thinking to get rc3 but updated it to rc10
Great video. Guess I need to get the foot switch! I’ll also be sure to check my firmware version. Thanks.
when you save loops while in sync with the drums does this pedal save the drums also ?
Very useful. Thx for sharing.
Well done this is a very informative video,it has helped me a lot thanks.

Maybe too late for an answer - but did you use stereo cable? I think it is necessary to use one, when you connect both A&B via single cable.
@@mondone1906 stereo cable totally fixed my problem lol. It always helps to read the manual!
Can you use two FS-5U's in place of the FS-6?
The video is brilliant thanks. Don't know how this happened but my rc500 is stuck on track 2. I can't record or play back on track 1. Can I fix this?
Maybe try factory reseting it or updating the firmware.
I have to double press my footswitch to stop the loop. Any solutions for that problem?

I don't think the 10r has the auto record feature.
@@ReidsReviews Thanks! that's a big oversight by Boss...

Little confusing. When I record a song & play it back, it will stop before the song I recorded is done. Help please!

Solved Boss uses normally open config. Most other use normally closed

Will the FS7 work with the RC 10R?
Yes
It's too boring... Not your video....the pedal.
Fantastic video. Thank you.
