Oh my goodness. This video has me crying. Granger is the most underrated country singer there is. This video needs to make it on CMT and all the other music video channels, and this song needs to get on the radio. That is what a family man is like. I love this!

@@pjking5942 I'm from a small town in Northeast Tennessee. I went to Colorado before I came back to Tennessee after the military in the early 90's. I walked in to a 7-Eleven in Colorado Springs, and after talking about where I was from due to my accent, the lady ended up being a distant relative who knew all about where I'm from.

I am in love with the song "Country things". Reminds me of riding tractors with my grand daddy out on his farm when I was a young girl. My grand daddy was my hero in life. Your philosophies and mannerisms remind me so much of him. Biggest difference, HE COULD NOT SING!!!! But he sure tried. Thank you for bringing back such great memories of him.

I've had a very small, recent window into this channel, Granger Smith, and well, Country Folks ("Country Folks" I hope doesn't come off as offensive, I surely don't mean it to). I watched the videos, some interviews, listen to the music, and then I read the comments below. Being more of a "Metal guy", I don't know a lot about Country music, nor the lifestyle. I guess I probably even fall into the category of city boy. One thing that really stands out to me about this whole lifestyle is honestly the kindness and good people. Reading the comments below, no negative posts. 28k likes, and only 300 dislikes (probably most of those are people that just pass through, and probably leave negative comments on most things they watch anyway, so I don't really count those). Saw a message below where someone posted about God, and not ONE hate response. I even mention God and I get 500 of some of the ugliest, meanest comments you can imagine. Almost as if I had said some personal attack on someone... Watching the concerts, people smiling, cheering, (being nice to one another). I cant lie, I'm from Boston (but I now live it Texas, if that helps?), and I do have one of those 9-5 jobs I'm sure falls in the city boy category (not much I can do about that one). The more I see, the more I admire and respect the Country lifestyle. Its so refreshing to see people who value family, hard work, honesty, God... No screaming about ANTIFA, burning down their city/town in protest - so tired of all the hate and anger. I don't know if I'm ready for the stuff that you pack in your cheeks just yet, but I sure admire all that Country folk stand for, believe in, and fight for. 👍
I know this comment is three years old, but I just came across it. You'll never find any negativity or hate with Granger, or actually any of the whole crew, or the "Demolitia" as we tend to call it. You're always welcome to explore the life of country things. A little slower pace, Not really any hustling or bustling. Fix yourself a glass of ice cold lemonade (sweet tea is also very acceptable) and find an empty rocking chair. You'll instantly realize what it's all about. The closest things to politics that's discussed is how much we love America. As for the subject of God, if you want to talk about him, sure. If not, no big deal. We'll never hold it against you, one way or the other. If bowing your head for the blessing at supper time isn't your thing, you still have a seat at my family's table.
Who cares if you're a city boy? I sure don't. I always welcome anyone and everyone, of all shapes, sizes and walks of life to come and enjoy the simple things. Sometimes a dusty back road and some good music is better than a therapist's couch.
The song is fun, but having the King of the Demolition AND his Court just knocks it off the Ranch!

These are the kinda friendships that last a lifetime, kids growing up together, playing together just like their parents did. This why I will always live in my small town. Sometimes it’s bad that everyone knows each other but most of the time it’s good, people still watch out for one another. I am a small town Texas kid as well, love watching Demo Ranch with my son and The Smiths, broke my heart to hear about the Smith’s loss because almost two years to the day before their loss I lost my fiancé and our unborn daughter whom we were due to meet in 3days. Sometimes life throws you curve balls but it’s how you move forward and how you let it affect you. I hope one day to meet both of the families, Matt’s and Granger’s but until then I will support their channels, our Texas country roots and music and our small town way of life
