I was wondering if something was to happen to you how would your next of kin be able to access your wallet without your finger print...that to me could be a hugh problem going forward
Wallet crashing when opening with fingerprint from lockscrn short cut

Glad to hear it!
Thanks from spain!!!
Thank You
I just used your link to buy D'cent wallet.. gonna ditch my Ledger. Great content.
Love your show.😅
I ordered the d'cent wallet
W/ your discount,

I believe...✝️
nice tutorial. i really like D Cent Wallet
merci Rex
good D'CENT positive :D 😁😁😁
I guess Ledger is now the "Bud Light" Anheuser Bush of cold storage. So much for the partnership deals. Bitfi or Qphones...hmm. 🤔
Thanx crypto dad , good video
We need one for hardware wallet electrum Orr sparrow we are get tired of hardware wallet , I think the best think is cold wallet air gap
Thank you for your tutorials I heard that the Dcent wallet are closed source as well are you concerned about dcent hardware wallets as well?
I chose BC Vault would love your input.
Good video as always , one question is there a way to add multiple fingers to the device or is it restricted to only 1 finger at a time?
No but expect to have your finger cut off when someone is stealing your crypto
What about ellipal titan is that a good one
DCENT has 3 wallet options. If you setup the software wallet accounts do they transfer under the hardware wallet option or is it basically 3 separate wallets?
Hi Rex just wondering can the Dcent wallet have a genuine check on the hardware wallet? Cheers steve.
Every hardware company has this capability and if they don't, they can certainly develop it.
Nothing keeps any of these hardware wallet companies from having "backdoor" capabilities. It is quite disturbing.
No wallet is 100% foolproof. But hardware wallets are still the most secure way to self custody our cryptocurrency
@@CryptoDad I still think ledger is the safest. I know the reputation is gone. But I can't see that one of these smaller companys with much less money is safer
@@petemartin1891 This is my thinking also.
Well Duh. Everybody has a backdoor to your money unless you keep it under a mattress.
I am staying with ledger I know what I am getting with it
Can u do a review on BC Vault ?
2:10 crypto dad.. ALL firmware updates to all devices can exfiltrate a seed phrase. Even this new wallet.
How do you receive XRP on the D’CENT wallet? Which one do you choose? I tried copying and pasting the address but it said it was incorrectly formatted..?
Hi can you please do a video on transferring assets from one dcent biometric wallet to another brand new dcent biometric wallet
If one wanted to transfer every crypto assets from Ledger to another Hardware Wallet, entering recovery seed will do it?
Can you please do a migration from ledger to Blockstream Jade
How do i add Custom Coins yo my DCENT Wallet Like FIL ?
Great video!! Can you tell me whether I can recover my assets from my Ledger Nano that is no longer functioning, to a New D'Cent Wallet using the Ledger 24 word seed phrase?
I use the D’CENT app and forgot my pin. Is there a way to reset. I don’t use the biometric device just the app. Which I actually like
Phrase 24 of Build from Ledger nano Put in another hardware wallet device Can I bring the coin back to show? Never used the phrase 24 to enter the hot wallet elsewhere.
can you use multiple dcent devices with 1 mobile app?
Hi can you use the same nano x on another dives ie like the same nano same account on 2 different phones?
Yes, you can sync your ledger device to as many phones and/or computers as you like. This video talks about how to sync a ledger device to a phone.

Can you do safepal and speak on it please
Hi CryptoDad, you are a god send and always tremendously helpful. I have a Bifrost wallet that is internet connected and not truly secure. I can migrate my tokens over to the D'cent wallet (which is off line) without any problems. However, how do I import my private keys from the D'cent wallet to the Bifrost Wallet in order to receive the air drops of Flare tokens that come into my Bifrost wallet under the original address? Sorry for my inability to express my problem well. James
Well, I wouldn't use your bitfrost seed phrase to restore a D'cent wallet. That's basically importing a hot wallet seed phrase into a hardware device. Your best bet is to initialize your D'cent wallet with its own secure seed phrase and then simply transfer some of your assets over to the D'cent wallet. Since you have your bitfrost wallet set up to receive your flare tokens, then you should probably continue to do that. In other words keep the two wallets separate and transfer any air drops. from bitfrost to D'cent for safekeeping.
New to the crypto game. Like the idea of off line hardware wallet. Do you have any good content regarding the wallet fees? Still learning before getting into this trading arena. Thanks
Disregard. I watched until you got into the transfer part. Good to know roughly a 10% transfer fee. Thanks
The fees are based on the blockchain you're using. The wallet does not charge any fees. Depending on the crypto, the blockchain fees might be a much lower percentage than what you saw in this video. The Ethereum chain has the highest blockchain fees based on its high activity. Bitcoin and other crypto chains have relatively lower blockchain fees. You can also mitigate fees by moving your crypto at off peak hours like late at night or early in the morning.
At the end, there I didn't realize you had to confirm to receive on your Ledger device the Solana migration. I thought you could have anyone send you crypto on/to your Ledger wallet without you needing to okay/verify receiving it b4 hand. Is that true? Thanx.
You can aslo generate a Dcent wallet adress to a kraken account?? And start sending from Kraken to Decent right??
You can send crypto to and from any address
We're all trusting the manufacturers of the devices at the end of the day.....all we can do is diversify....
Good point!
I ordered 2 d”cent wallets. Will all my coins show under one Acount if I open the app on iPhone?
One you make the new wallet and the other if installed onto another phone would need the restore wallet feature
this is great. How do I download dcent biometric wallet to my computer desktop
decent biometric wallet is not available on Windows, works on iOS or Android . Another option is - hardware wallet. I ordered, will post review shortly.
Thanks so much. Looking forward to the post. @@cryptokdrops
Are there a limit of different Cryptos does a Dcent wallet allow to hold? Ledger typically around 3-4 depending on which crypto I select.
can you use two device with same address ? so me and my wife has one device each ?
Good question…i was wondering how an account could be jointly held and assessed??
I heard that D'Cent is not fully open sourced. So how vulnerable would you say it is because of this?
Rip Ledger
If the key (24 words) is generated in Dcent and afterwards is imported in Ledger. Is it still recoverable by Ledger?
It is an industry standard bip-39 compatible backup phrase. It works across multiple wallets from multiple vendors.
Referring to the recover service of Ledger. How much information does Ledger have of the key without using their recover service?
I bought and sent back the Decent wallet. Why? Because they don't send you the cable to upgrade the firmware. You have to upgrade the firmware through your phone as the unit is useless on the desktop PC as there is no app. I got all the way to adding coins to my wallet but none showed up because it said I needed a firmware upgrade and told me to go buy their cable. STICK IT
Hey so I have a question what happens if I bought the same coin years apart with two transactions and the price goes up how can I withdraw my oldest transaction and leave the new transaction untouched or will the wallet average out the price of the sum total ?
I have asked the same question years ago and it has yet to answered.
Wallets don't differentiate between the prices when you bought the tokens. Wallet just holds the number quanity of tokens you store there. The token values will fluxuate up or down... so when you "sell" them, the market price would be whatever it is at the time of the "sale" on an exchange, not transfer them in and out only.
@@v.garcia3083 Thank you !
I also used your link to buy the D'cent wallet got it yesterday but it came in a different box, i mean the shipping box not with the D'cent logo on it. I wonder if it's legit..?
Well, if you bought it from them, it should be legitimate. Perhaps the box was redesigned or you bought a slightly different model than the one I demoed? I can’t be sure, but maybe you could check those things out. But my link was given to me by them so I would assume it goes directly to their website.
Yes, it took me to the site the D'cent shop. I'm here in California and became from City of industry close to my city I guess they have a facility there.. the wallet itself came sealed. I'm going to install it today so if it says create new wallet or recovered I'm going to assume that it has not been tampered with 😊
Thanks again crypto dad for replying I love your videos.
wouldnt be surprising if ledger has shares in lots ofcthese wallet companies
TBH nothing ensures us D'cent doesnt have the recovery option on their end too, the only difference is that Ledger just made it public.
Bro. I this guy is missing that D'cent wallet lets you add a 25th word in your seed phrase. If they do have a backdoor how does that affect your wallet. It's not 24 words but 25! Adding your on seed phrase word
livestream today ?
CURRENTLY WHICH HARDWARE WALLET IS SAFE TO STORE BIG AMOUNT OF CRYPTO ACCORDING TO YOU??? SAFEPAL S1? TANGEM? I DON’T KNOW CAN YOU PLEASE SUGGEST ME!!!
Ledger.
Trezor Model T
TANGEM
If and when Ledger releases the Ledger Stax. Will you use it ? I know a lot of us have preorder it
Why is this better than ledger? Don’t you think eventually all companies will be doing the same? In the long run we’ll be spending more money on devices.
Every wallet has its pros and cons. I like this wallet because of the fingerprint ID. makes it much easier to sign transactions.
It won't be long until you will have custodianship of all your crypto through a third party. My guess is it will be Polysign. You will be able to not only have it safely stored, but also staked as well. All under a guarantee no doubt.
Okay ao my Namo S screen is broken, got a D Cent wallet and used the same 24 seed as i have with the Nano S. Now most of my coins are appearing on the app and some of the older coins show the transactions from years ago. Some coins that i have on my Nano S have not appeared so will have to fix the Nano S to send to new D Cent wallet address, Algo, Hbar. The Native Segwit BTC isn't showing with either BTC wallet added on the app. The main one that isnt there is ETH so it looks like i will be spending a heap on gas fees to move all my coins from one ETH address to this new ETH address., this is going to take some time. 🤦
Or you could just get a replacement Ledger device and restore to that and save the gas fees.
@@CryptoDad not really the answer I was hoping for. So $200 in a new wallet and it doesn't do as claimed. Just letting the community know there is this issue with DCent wallet
So it looks like the Ledger device charged about 10% of the Bitcoin transaction, because ten dollars net ended up in D'cent wallet.
D,Cent is based out of South Korea have limited technical support. I see a lot of red flags with wallets like D,cent and Ellipal. Ellipal is based out of China and there is zero information about their company online all red flags.
I've used ellipal for years. It's a great wallet. If your saying you can't trust any electronic made in China then you should throw your cell phone away lol.
How is Dcent wallet with red flags ?
I have it and never had issues. Their partnership keep growing.
South Korea is a huge crypto state. They wouldnt be able to screw around there
It seems that dcent wallet doesn't support passphrase,it's the biggest reason that I don't want to use this hardware wallet.
Please safepal
all these companies are after your back door!!i mean wallet’s.be careful😂😂😢😢
Why not migrate to keystone pro???? Thanks.
If you have the same key on all your devices no matter if it is a "Ledger" or Dcent or Trezor, wouldn't anyone be able to access your coins on any of them if they got a hole of the keys?!
What are the odds? Why would they get a hold of your keys
@@ozb10 lol
Does white hat hackers check keystone?
It doesn't matter if dcent has a backdoor or not . These guys let add a 25th word to yo your seed phrase. How is that even hackable?
If the type of chip is the same as the Ledger, there is no point in buying another wallet, the problem is in the chip that allows the “back door” to be created 🤷
Bro, d'cent wallet lets you add a 25th word to your seed phrase. How is the backdoor a risk with this said ?
@@ozb10how to do this
@@mp8129 when you 1st get your device. It gives you the option
Go to settings, select security then select 25th word.
Ill stick with ledger lol. If you think none of these companies can recover ur seeed phrase during a subpoena you are trippin. Dcent wallet? Sounds only decent.
the crypto is risky anyway 😎
JUST GET A TANGEM. I LOVE MINE EASY TO USE. SAFE AS FUCK….EPIC. CHEAP…. NO SEEDS R THE HISTORY…
Why Ledger not good
new update can take the key from your ledger hardware wallet which open back door to hacker, thats y alot move out from ledger
@@brt525 what aboat Ledger stax
question about the fingerprint....when a person dies? Than what? You cut off the finger? How is that solved for future purposes?
If the fingerprint login fails, you can use the pin
I am not planning to change device, all that hassle and later there will be a problem whit that company. We have and had to trust Ledger always so why not now? They have to fix the damage in trust but people can make things more dramatically then it really is these days. Just add the pass phrase option (25 word) to your Ledger and the 24 recovery key is protected. This is only for advanced users but in fact those are the ones who are disappointed in Ledger 😉
Why would you restore the ledger wallet on a new expensive hardware wallet WITH THE PRIVATE KEYS FROM THE LEDGER????
That makes no sense AT ALL.
You have any other suggestions
@@a1isrising
ELLIPAL Titan and Ngrave Zero are two I would consider.
@@willpower6720 ngave is nice but expensive and not enough coin options but highest security for sure thanks
Doing this costs nothing, but does the ledger continue to have your security phrase?
Micro USB to charge?? dealbreaker.
I was always a big supporter Rex, but with these video's about leaving Ledger for something that is optional is crazy. I think you create a lot of fud! Do not like it!!
More shilling of companies that give you stuff. Done with this channel. So much advise that turned out incorrect.
Sorry to hear that you're leaving. I had several viewers that specifically requested that I review this wallet. And I asked D'Cent to send me a wallet so that I could review it. It's pretty much how my channel works.
Lololololol. 🥴🤡
