I've had the HS80 for close to a year and it's a phenomenal headset. The microphone is astonishingly good for a headset mic and the audio quality is very good.
@@necondaa absolutely. I would never get a corsair headset if not the microphone, its just so good even with wireless! would have gotten the hyperx cloud 3 but it has a worse mic and isnt wireless at a very similiar price point.

I’m use to using SteelSeries headsets since I game a lot on PS5 mostly, but whenever I hear Corsair microphones they always sound better than what SS does. I’m going to pick up the HS80 because of the microphone alone
I subbed a while back, and here I am again since I noticed you reviewing a headset I'm considering! Appreciate your hard work and hope you keep up the grind brother 💪
HS80 has slightly more sibilance and reverb compared to the razer, but considering the size of the capsule - it's actually ridiculous how good it sounds.
Just recently came across your channel. You sold me on the HS80! Also cool phone btw. Don't see a lot of people using old Pixels these days and the 4 Panda colorway is fire.
Unless I misunderstood, you had the issue where your mic volume was overly low? I've checked windows settings and the mic only caps out at ~20% on windows even when set to 100%. People keep telling me I sound low compared to before, and when I test in audacity and OBS my volume is indeed lower than any other device I have. I haven't found a fix outside of people suggesting alternative equalizer to boost the mic beyond the iCUE +10db
For me the mic was low until I turned on the +10 dB boost. If you need another program, SteelSeries Sonar lets you add +12, but probably it would be better to stack those two instead of getting rid of iCUE completely.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews word, I tried to adjust to +10 db in iCUE and can't tell any difference in windows testing and on audacity. Appreciate the quick reply 🙏
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews I believe I finally resolved my issue. I had to uninstall all the drivers from device manager, reinstall iCUE, force an update in USB mode, and then adjusting the mic settings to +5-8db. I'm not sure what the issue was initially, but now I'm fully pleased with the headset. I complete agree that the sound isn't amazing out the box, but with Dolby Atmos I think it's a great value and better than the G535 headset I had. Thanks for the review again, really helped my purchase!
Wait did you ever do a review for the Corsair virtuoso XT? I can’t find one on your channel.I have nova pros wireless,A50s and Corsair virtuoso XT.Definitely not keeping the a50 too much dolby for me.I’m between nova and Corsair because the quality on the Corsair are just 2 notches up or 3 compared to novas. @@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Ah gotcha,I figured you would have like them.I ended keeping Novas because it pretty much does everything pretty good.Though I’m tempted to tried seinhaisers.
@BadIntentStreamTechReviews hey I was looking for a headset that will last with me, and its sound is amazing and the mic is good and my price range is 150 and my head is a bit big I remember the corsair void rgb elite usb fits me very well and that's it any recommendations? I was looking for a headset like that and I couldn't find
Hi, I was thinking of getting the HS80 RGB USB that come wired. The question is that the wireless ones have support for Dolby Atmos while the wired ones don't. So question: If I get the wired ones and pay for the Windows Dolby Atmos license (I think it's €14) would it be the same as the Dolby Atmos that the HS80 WIRELESS has built in?
what? my wired hs80 has dolby access, and also if you search at google "dolby access what headphone support" and go to the top link which is the corsair website it also shows only hs80 wireless, but i think it comes also with the wired, i'm using it and switching between icue and dolby access especially when watching movies and listening to music, idk why they didn't also show hs80 wired on their website.
I Own a ps5 and xbox, i primarily game on my ps5 should i get The hs80 RGB or the artics 7p+ i don’t mind at all having to use them in wired mode for my xbox at all! If so what is the best option you can recommend to me it would truly be helpful! great video keep it up 👏🏽
It comes down to which attribute is the most important. Alpha has the best drivers (but I've never tested the wireless version), and HS80 has the best mic. If it was me personally, I'd get the HS80 simply because the other two are way overpriced for the sound you get.
Is the Audio Quality bad enough where I should look elsewhere? I want a wireless headset with a good mic, but the audio quality has to at least be *passable*.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Yeah I don't think an amazing mic and sound quality duo is possible on wireless, even in 2023, but I think this is the closest I'm going to get with a "the best of both worlds" mindset (without spending double the asking price). Thanks for the reply!

The reviews for this headset are all over the place. Some say it's pretty good. Some say it's meh. Some say it's not good. The only consistent thing is the mic quality.
Do you think worth buying it in the wired version for 99 US dollars? Or do you have any other headset recommendation for that price? Its the same headset but a lot cheaper once it is not wireless.
Yeah, if you don't need wireless it's a good deal. Honestly, I would have gotten the wired version, but I figured it wouldn't be as popular of a video.
