hi the hunts man I am an old codger who when I was with my old man back in the stone age hunted now my kids have grown and I am close to being a prune I thought I will rekindle an old spark do you have a sugestion on how to get into private property if so I wish to learn and most likely go do it in 2022
Dim you're an inspiration mate, good on you for getting back at it. Getting on the private property is a tricky one. It usually evolves from years of trust and relationship between hunter and landowner. If you can't get any access you could also try the Farmers Assist program. It's a nation wide initiative that try's to connect hunters with property owners for pest control purposes. Let me know how you go mate and be sure to share some of your new hunting stories and wisdom with us:) - Chris

No dont have the licence yet or apart of a hunting club im going for the gun safety corse this weekend so i can aply for the licence is there a hunting club you would recomend
@@stonehornet2719 yeah for sure. If you live in Queensland, NSW or Victoria check out huntingtrips.com.au/membership It's a club I foundered which had an amazing community and all the other benefits clubs should have. Genuine reason to own a firearm (which you will need to hunt), hunting insurance, guided hunt giveaways, gear giveaways ect... well worth it :)
@@tajcuriousgallivanter270 ah man I feel your pain. I love in regional Victoria and we just got out of lockdown a week ago but it looks like we might go back in again.
@@Thehuntsmanshow so far wild goats and deer🤭, had plenty opportunities but as soon as it got more interesting it was locked down aargh....I even had deep thoughts about going hunting in state forests and isolating in the wild while all this covid passes through lol😅😅 hopefully we get through this and things get back to normal.
Hi Samuel. I actually did one that covers all of Australia including Queensland which you can find here ruclips.net/video/eUzz63TTNoA/видео.html the Queenaland section is at 8:22. I didn't bother making a separate video as there is no public land hunting in Queensland. Where are you from?
When it says "permission to hunt issued from the landowner" Can you clarify if that means written permission? Not just a verbal OK from some time ago? And is there any expectation of expiry for that permission?
Great questions! I'd 100% be getting a written permission. You never know, a relationship could turn sour and you could easily be thrown under the bus and labled as a poacher. If it came to a dispute I'd imagine the law would side with the property owner most times. Having proof that you were allowed to hunt there would be key to proving innocence. Legally I don't believe you need one, verbal would be OK, but I could be wrong. I'd be reading up on the laws ans legislation of your local state or territory.
For small feral species I think you might be able to leave it. But I'm not 100% sure about that. Tooby, to know for certain you should contact NSW DPI and ask them. They are super friendly and can help you out. If it was anything bigger that I personally wouldn't leave it. You'll just encourage wild dogs with the carcass.
Super easy. You just need to be a member of a approved Club like the Australian Hunters Club (australianhunters.com.au/) that will allow you to get your R-Licence which is an online test via the NSW DPI website. Once you've got that you can hunt on over 2-million hectares of State forest in NSW.
@@Thehuntsmanshow thanks mate yeah QLD need to rethink there laws like up here in the state forest even just around me near esk ect the Red deer and pigs are a plenty and it would be good to be able to hunt them, thank you for the advice
You can hunt responsibility on any land in Australia that's you own that's large enough (that' s the tricky part) and doesn't endanger the community around you.
where it says no personal violence on the licence disqualifiers is that like assault or more in depth ??? i was convicted for assault for a fight couple years ago and wanting to hunt….. i hope it doesnt stop me
Hi Charlie, I'm not sure specifically about what previous charges would influence a licence application. I do know however that just because a license application gets knocked back don't mean you can appeal the decision. It just slows down the process and might not eventuate anyway.
I love the website. Helped me find places close to me and finally can go bow hunting 👍
I'm glad it helped!
I really wish that the Illawarra had some more options for public land hunting, everything is hours away from me haha
Ah man that sucks. Gotta put in thr time if you love it though :)

Do you have to take the dispatched. Fox, cat, etc with you. Or just leave it

It's an absolute no brainer, no idea why the QLD government haven't adopted a public land hunting policy. Not doing so will only cost them money.
How to purchase a property or land which allows for hunting?
You can hunt responsibility on any land in Australia that's you own that's large enough (that' s the tricky part) and doesn't endanger the community around you.

Wild dog is a dingo
They are definitely hybriids. But if you look at the DNA wild dogs and dingos are separate species.
Yeah
Could of at least threw in a spot 🤦♂️
The joy of hunting is in the finding of spots.. don't rob yourself of that joy. Go out into the bush and explore.
