We eat pretty much everything except for the intestines and we take the hide (fur) and turn it into lots of things like rugs.

A ghost for sure! Just came back from a weekend hunting then. I walked 2m past one and had no idea. Did a double take, stepped back and could just see her hear poking out of some brambles. Crazy how something so big can be so still and concealed. Thank you for commenting and the encouragement! Chrjs

They are classified differently in different states. In Victoria they are classified as a "game animal" which means you need a special licence in order to hunt them on public land. On the other hand the government treats them like a pest with regular helicopter culls. The truth is that they have no idea what to do with them, which is ridiculous. The answer is simple.

Headshots are super risky, it's a very small target. Given how fast things can happen it's better to go for the vital zone :)

@Thehuntsmanshow all my hunting has been mainly. 22 and my 50 yr old Brno no5 can take an eye out of a rabbit at 50 yards but hunting centre fire is totally different . Will definitely be going for heart . Thank you I am learning heaps!

The eating wild game meat is the essence and heart of our community too.

In my culture we are working hard to help people understand the value of eating wild meat. To both respect, enjoy and eat wild animals. To live in balance with them. You could even go as far as saying there is something sacred about this relationship when it's balanced. Much like Islam.

It said, a lot of our SF are quite bare. Just gotta keep looking though. Deer are pretty hardy animals. If anything can bounce back its deer.

We have a lot in common. It's why we have a lot of SA members in our club who moved to Australia. Similar values and culture and a love of hunting :)

You could do that on private property if you were so inclined. But it's illegal to use a feeder on public land or in state forest in Victoria.
