For me the meat is the prize, so not taking as much of it as you can is a bizarre idea. I don't carry out the full carcass of every deer i shoot (like Sambar for instance). But fallow deer are small enough that you can get most of the meat out with a carry.
I think it was the quickest shot I've taken this year, literally a few seconds between seeing the deer and pulling the trigger. I usually like to take my time, but after missing the bigger bucks i wasn't going to miss out again and risk it. Haha. Thank you Tj for your kind words too.
Hi Scott. I do a few things. i run the small production company that makes The Huntsman videos. I manage HuntingTrips.com.au & I also manage the Australian Hunters Club.
@@Thehuntsmanshow Hi Chris, going well. I am still early with my hunting learnings so no trips as yet. I have had a few range days, but still need to learn to shoot properly as I am starting from scratch, from which I hope to go out maybe, late Summer or early Autumn (if my shooting is ok). Your videos are fantastic, informative, well narrated, perfectly filmed and truly tell a great story to the viewers. Every time I watch a video, I learn something new and they have inspired me to explore hunting and hopefully take up a new hobby. You truly tell a broader story that picks up the human and friendship aspects of hunting whilst showcasing the the beauty of the natural environment; keep up the great work. PS: A beginners video may be of interest to me; ie where do I start ?
Great question. It's the Hyperpod 2 from Eagleye Hunting Gear. I love it! It's a shooting stick that attached to your rifle so you don't need to carry it around separately. They have also just released version 3 which I've been using recently and liking. You can find more info or buy one here www.eagleyehg.com.au/smartrest-gun-rests/smartrest-hyper-pod-3-complete-kit.html
Been hunting 4 ages...whereabouts did u go àlso I have a project I'm doing...it's a 260rem....how do u think that will go against deer...only hogs out this way...😢😢😢
Well i guess it depends on how many videos they make. I imagine that it would seem weird if you always talk about your rifle in every video, or even every second video. If the channel makes a lot of content it could be a bit much.
If you enjoyed this video be check out the rest of the episodes from Season 2 here ruclips.net/p/PLwY-MKJlALMD9V1VFkSamF1vXvLSn11Ly
It’s a cool scene when you walking with him on your back but it was just so funny with his head swinging side to side
Haha, he was lopping around quite a lot. Had to hold his head down. Haha.
Thoroughly enjoyed that Chris! A great hunt to watch👍🦌💥
Glad you enjoyed it Matt!
Good to see, you take the whole Carcass, and not just the backstrap.

Loved this video!

Thank you Kevin. That's very kind of you to say.
I dont know how you got that shot in seconds, I barely got it with the zoom camera, your reaction timing was insane was great to film you in action.
Thank you Jecerey! I'm glad we got that buck in the end. Lol.

Thank you 🙏 🔥
Hey mate, great video. Just wondering what you do for a regular job?

I agree, but when you're away from home at someone else's place you use what's available haha.
I’ve always wanted to be the first commenter.
Haha, well, good work. You did it! How are you? Been hunting recently?

You wouldn't do that carry out here in Ireland or you would have a homemade scarf of ticks 😢
Ah yuck. That would suck. The wild deer here are really clean. Some of the wild pigs not so much, but the deer are fine.
What’s the stand’s you used for Rifle looked solid

I’m not sure why hunting channels hardly talk about their rifle set ups.

Soo.. you can take rifles on planes?!
As long as you have the correct paperwork and follow the rules you can.
How come you have your spare ammo on your cheek side & not the other side?
Good point. It's just the way the product is made.
It hasn't caused me any issues.
@@Thehuntsmanshow Looks like a left hand one to me... 👍
Why on earth would you unload the rifle right after shooting at the animal?🤔
🤔
