    Do you remove thicker roots or leave them alone on this succulent??

    So pretty but how does it grow in rock?

      It's Bonsai Soil (Akadama, Pumice, Turface and Fir Bark mixed together) It helps allow the roots to ramity very well.

    I'm in zone 6. Can these handle full sun or should they be protected??

    • @superbonsai7537
      @superbonsai7537  Год назад +1

      They will thrive in full sun, but the first time you transfer them from indoor to outdoor you need to put them in shade area a couple days first, in order to let them get used to the hot weather outdoor, then you can move them to full sun.

      These guys can take as much light as you can give them. I'm in zone 6, and I put mine outside in full sun as soon as temperatures go above 50F. They go in and out a lot in March and April. Winters, they stay indoors, where grow lights are optimal. They can survive in a S or W facing windowsill, though they'll grow very slowly, drop leaves, and start to look rather spindly by February or so.

      The best time to Prune and Repot plants is in spring or summer.

      @@superbonsai7537 I've heard you should wait till the plant is leaving its dormancy (early spring) because disrupting the roots during a vigorous time of growth will shock the plant?? unless that does not apply to succulents?

    • @superbonsai7537
      @superbonsai7537  2 года назад

      Yes, you are right. But based on my experience, Elephant bush or Jade plant are very hard to kill so don't worry about repotting them just do it during Spring or Summer time, just make sure do not over water them then they will be fine.

    What soil do you use in this video?

    • @superbonsai7537

      I use Bonsai soil (Akadama, Pumice and Lava rock)

      @umpa916 2 года назад +1

      @@superbonsai7537 how often do you water such mix? I have akadama and lava rocks and it drains so fast. Some of the leaves are getting shriveled and turning yellow. What am I doing wrong?

    • @superbonsai7537
      @superbonsai7537  2 года назад +2

      It depends on where you put your plant, if you put it indoor you should water less like once a week or wait untill the soil dry out completely between watering. If you put it outdoor you should give them more water like two time a week. But it is hard to tell what cause you plant leave shriveled, it might be over watering or under watering.
