Such a great interview!! Saw the whole interview in the membership. Ronnie is great! Love Rainbow and Joe Lynn Turner!! Thank you, Stefan!! Your the GOAT❤❤❤❤
I hope Richie Blackmore gets it the credit that he is due… as one of the very best.. before Ritchie Blackmore, nobody played like that… if you can, buddy, please do because I can’t think of a single person… he was an innovator with skills and flair
I think Ronnie Romero has handled the Rainbow catalogue really well, I like his range, gritty voice and attitude. Seems like a nice guy too. Never took to JLT, much preferred Graham Bonnet. Naturally Ronnie Dio was the best !
RR, how can you explain your own quote from one of your previous interviews: "Label Frontiers releases soulless music"...? Does that include your music with them as well, I wonder...
I just recently found out that joe, Lynn Turner is bald… I never knew that I’ve even met him in person down in Florida.. never for a second, but I think his hair was a wig… he pulled it off for 30 years nobody ever knew
Romero cannot stand in JLT’s shadow. I tried to listen to a whole album with him singing on the Vandenberg album, but I couldn’t as hits voice started to irritate me after a few songs. JLT still has it.
I m a big JLT fan but unlike with RESCUE YOU, ODYSSEY , the Rainbowalbums, a lot of his solostuff lacks a 2nd great writer. Loved his work with MOTHERS ARMY and BRAZEN ABOTT but the latest release is a bit too heavy for me, maybe its also something else lacking, dunno.
Ronnie’s work in Rainbow was fabulous, unfortunately the rest of band sounded tired and uninspired. Ritchie being the ringleader. Seemed like nothing more than padding out the retirement account. Hopefully Ronnie’s performance will be a springboard to greater success.
I never really got into Romero s voice and the RAINBOW shows had some great moments but I d have loved to see more ex members like Rondinelli, Daisley,Turner, etc. I think I understand JLTs feelings towards the whole story and yes, I do understand you dont ignore such an offering but..... aside from some nice vocaltrickery from Romero in studios I still cant stand the Spanish coming through. Sorry Ronnie, like Steve Morse seemingly a very kind man but imho not the right choice.
@@MrFchank Its evident now Simon has joined the ranks the band finally rocks again. A bit late, purpendicular is great but after that they should ve gone back to a heavy rock player and composer.
Ritchie is favorite guitarist but Morse was perfect for Deep Purple, unlike Tommy Bolin, who is a dynamite player but his style did not mesh. Morse has his own style, great chops and, like Ritchie, very influenced by classical and country players. I saw DP several times with him. A+!!!!
I understand you were the 5th singer, and believe me as a Rainbow-fan: You did nothing wrong. However, this version of Rainbow should never have happened. 5 members, including RB, should never have done this shit.
Rainbow with Ronnie Romero is STILL one of my fave line-ups of any band. Wish they'd recorded an album of new songs. Ronnie's such a gentleman. The way he handled Stargazer, Child in Time and Mistreated showed he's Mr Versatility. Would love that line-up of Rainbow to play again. I didn't see them, but have a tape of every one of the shows.
what some fans forget is that ROMERO never wrote a SONG for RAINBOW so for me there is no way to consider relevant in the RAINBOW history as the others..
Good point, sir... JLT's songwriting talent is terrific; the guy put out so many hits for many artists over decades...Romero is a great technical singer, with a voice that is not so inspiring, with all respect.
To be fair, they've put out a song called waiting for a sign, and it's good. I don't like Romero on the Rainbow catalogue, but that song is good. I just can't stand his Mercury-Dio-esque style, it's SO contrived. His tone, on the other hand, on the Coverdale stuff like Soilder of Fortune, was a highlight on his duty. But on the more energic Rainbow and Purple numbers, he never deliver the vibe, the pitch is there, but he's as souless as it gets, on Ritchie s music. Talk about another miscast talent. His MSG stint is going well, but i don't like his style. Schenker belongs to McAuley in this era.
Ronnie is a good singer but compared to JLT just 1 on 10 sorry. Joe is an amazing songwriter too. Ronnie is not. Like his voice for 1 or 2 songs. Cant stand it for an album. Too limited. To less emotion. Joe was 100 times netter.
In my opinion, he’s the best singer since Ronnie James Dio… he’s not the same.. but he’s different.. and different in a good way.. I hope you prospers and goes on to bigger and greater things.. he’s a great singer

Joe has nothing to worry about.
He’s amazing in his own right.
I hope Richie Blackmore gets it the credit that he is due… as one of the very best.. before Ritchie Blackmore, nobody played like that… if you can, buddy, please do because I can’t think of a single person… he was an innovator with skills and flair
Top 3 guitarists in the world in his day.
Ronnie Romero sounds great in Rainbow. He's even able to pull off the Dio songs. Ronnie Romero has my vote.
Love Joe L T ❤️

except everyone who saw the wig
He was diagnosed with alopecia as a small boy. He has worn wigs since his early teens.
No eye lashes or brows. Not male pattern baldness.
No wig no gig
So what???

a very talented vocalist. You sound GREAT with MSG!!!

Morse was the right choice for 29 years and was just as good as Blackmore

Romero is good but I did not like the most recent version of Rainbow cause the rhythm section was weak. Stranger In Us All was a better band.

@@DragonflyII: Get an IQ.
No mention of Ian Gillan or David Coverdale among his favourite singers...

I couldn't say it better myself. Fully agree. "Fake" Rainbow.

Brilliant

What a great singer.
He definitely wants to be Coverdale.

Agree.
He's nowhere near Joe , Ronnie .
Ronnie is a class act. JLT has a red ass because Ritchie chose Ronnie instead. That's all that is
JLT is an arrogant ass.
