Always bring me a big smile seeing foreigners coming over here for health screening and experiencing Malaysian warmth & care! Cheers!
Thank you. We're alreay planning to be back for follow up medical care
Thanks for sharing your experience. I've been looking at retiring to Malaysia and have heard only good things about the quality of health care so I appreciate your detailed description of the entire process!
Glad to help!
Welcome
Welcome to Malaysia
I'm a Malaysian, just turned 60 and is encouraged to walk into the public@govt hospital for our free senior citizen health check.
Have yet to go and do it .. esp. check ups on my deteriorating eyesight. Few friends had their lasik treatment and new lenses in, and others had new dentures too.
Hate to rub it in .. but it's all free for Malaysian citizens ✌️
lucky you! Go get that health check!
Well, it makes sense it’s free for Malaysian citizens because you’re working there and paying taxes.
thats why i go to malaysia, u get ur health screenings and enjoy the food, culture and just all around great city. Bit tough when Malaysia in general is a foddie paradise. Gladu kids got clean bill of health!
Yes, we agree! Thank you
So glad to hear about this experience. For a long time I've heard great things about care in KL.
Thank you
I am Malaysian married to an American who lives in the US but planning to retire in Malaysia. We have contributed to HSA so we can pay the out of pocket medical cost and the annual physical/wellness check while living in Malaysia.
great plan!
Thank you for sharing. I've just come back from KL and had the privilege of getting my wellness check at Prince Court medical centre. My appointment was at 8:15 a.m. and I was done by 3:30 p.m. I had a break from 11:40 to 1:30 waiting for the my first set of results.
The facility was top notch. I visited hospitals in the U.S., Canada, S.A. U.A.E, Kenya and Somalia. Malaysia's standards really impressed me. The cleanliness, hospitality, quality of service and OMG the food. I wish every hospital served meals like this. I had the Mee Goreng (fried yellow noodles and seafood) and for dessert I had the Bread Pudding. I must confess the pudding has a lot to do why I'm giving this place 5/5 .. lol I'm only kidding.
About the checkup, sorry I digressed, I chose the Signature plan which was around $400 USD. The plan below that (Well Man) was okay but I wanted to start with the same plan that I might choose again in the future; to compare exactly. It was only $64 more! I'm 43 yrs old.

Malaysia is underrated for a lot of things and their Medical Tourism is one of them. Forget Turkey and go to Malaysia.
Such a wonderful break down. Thanks for sharing
I'm telling all of my doctors about your video. It's been 8 years, and I've seen so many specialists. If only the US could have comprehensive wellness checkups like this, maybe it wouldn't take over 8 years to get a diagnosis. Just recently, I had to have two scans, but the place only did one of them, so now I have to go back. I hope I don't die before we can move to a place like Malaysia with better healthcare. The whole system is broken in the US, but no one wants to fix it because the top people are making billions.
I'm sorry you've had such trouble
Yeah capitalist brutal cycle.. rich become richer.. no human factors counts.
@@EatWalkLearn Thanks, Today I learned from a current MRI that I have a possible ovarian cyst has gotten bigger since my last ct scan on 5/23/2023. Guess what there is no mention of a possible ovarian cyst on that report. No one ever told me I had a possible cyst. I already have two more referrals for my other chronic issues. I am so done with this broken system, and everything takes months and months then they turn into years. I am researching hospitals now so see which has the best full health screening for my many issues and I'm only 40.
Wow, that is amazing!! You're right about coordinating all those tests. Can't believe how difficult it is here in US just getting George's appointments for his knee surgery!!
It's truly ridiculous.
Glad it went well for you! It is one of the fantastic things I love about living in Malaysia!
Thank you!
That total cost is fantastic and you also have peace of mind!
Yrs. True!
Thank you very much sharing video about your medical check process in Malaysia hospital as you know Malaysia Goverment encouraging and concern about healthy and fitness always sk6 it provided medic tourism which most of hospital. Have world class fasility with moden and advance high class standard medical equipment along together with our hospitality. Anyway good luck to both of you, we Malaysia citizen feel happy that you done your medical check as the result both of you in good condition hopefully this is good unforgettable memories experience during visiting Malaysia. Finally we appreciate that at same time both of you have promoting Malaysia medical care through youtube and give oportunity also guidence for any western visitor to to visit Malaysia, we always said welcome to Malaysia or Aways greeting welcome Back to Malaysia feel the unforgettable memories experience in your prestigious life forever and everlasting entirely.
thank you
Nor would half of these items been included in a wellness exam in the US. They check blood work but not for cancer markers. Great job! I can’t wait until my full time travel adventure starts next year. And yes, this exact medical appointment is already on my must do list.
It's a win-win and a good base line for your nomad life! Happy launching!
A perfect example of how easy and affordable health care is, if you don't use the system in USA.
Thank you for your comment and support for international travel!
Thank you for this great information! I've worked for CEO's in the US who do "Executive Physicals" that are similar, but the cost is likely astronomical and not feasible for normal people, like myself. This is a great example of how healthcare can be a fantastic experience abroad!
It's really how health care should be.
As Malaysian employee, yearly comprehensive health screening test is added to our benefit when we turned 40. The principal is prevention is better than cure. 😊
Currently I am in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I just had dental work done last week, so running into this video was very timely. Needed to replace a crown that actually broke in the US and got a filling as well. This was done at Pristine Dental at Mid Valley Megamall in KL in case anyone wants to use the same. The new crown only cost $445 and the filling cost $38. I have a similar filling on another tooth done in the US. In comparison, the new filling was done so much better than the one done in the US. This was all done in less than a week. I'm very happy with the results.
Prescriptions. I take one for thyroid. While at Watson's pharmacy, located throughout KL, I asked about it. They didn't have the strength I needed, but could combine two separate doses to match my own. I didn't even have my prescription and the pharmacist was willing to sell me what I needed without it. If I remember correctly, I think the cost was around $17 for a three month supply.
You reminded me that I need to get another Hep A and B shot. Unlike Walgreens in the US, I couldn't do this at the pharmacy so will need to schedule it at the hospital or clinic here. Glad you mentioned several to choose from. Think I'll do Prince Court as well.
This is the extent of my medical tourism so far. Easy peasy, and if some who read this think this is still true, the US is not king when it comes to this.
Thanks for sharing your video!
What great examples?
So interesting! Glad you are both so healthy!
Thanks, me too!
tqvm for the good review and tips! Malaysia is quite well known for " Medical Tourism" due to the high standard of the hospital service. btw you might have seen my friend the opthalmologist at Prince Court Hospital there!
Maybe! We did see the ophthalmologist! A nice woman!
There are about 7 hospitals in Malaysia that are JCI (joint commission international) standard.
good to know
That is astounding! As a US healthcare provider I know we wouldn't come close in cost or scope.
Yes, so true!
Uhm u got to bear in mind that people in Malaysia make a lot less money than the US. So healthcare is cheap because income is lower.
@@secrets.295 That’s true, but the level of organization in the hospital to do this wellness check you cannot find in the United States.
Thanks guys! Super informational. We had been planning to do this in the future, and you filled in a lot of questions we had! Happy Holidays! ;)
So glad!
In Malaysia (I'm Malaysian)cancer markers are included in the blood test/blood panel.
I did mine at a Health Lab for a few hundred Ringgit but the hospital one sounds more comprehensive.
The options were impressive and so affordable
Great info. Thanks for sharing!
Hope it's helpful
Indonesians have been coming here for ages for medical tourism. Even if they have mayo clinic in bali (in the future), I doubt they can afford it.
true
Wonderful information, thanks 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you
You're welcome
Nice to see mom im from jeddah اتمنى لكي الصحة والعافية ودوام القوة 😢
Thank you!
I am heading to KL in two days on the 13th and have an appointment for medical exam a few days after arriving
Great, Good luck!
good evening, sir, I pray that you are always healthy. I really like your video and I ask your permission to react this video to educate everyone about Hospital Malaysia. to show everyone about the good quality of hospitals in Malaysia

We are not sure what you are asking. You do not have permission to copy the video. Please email us for more details. eatwalklearn@gmail.com
OK I subscribed and I agree with you about the medical trip to K L but also I’ll go to the museums and I heard the food is good too !!
It’s too bad the United States can’t be organized like that and the prices can’t be lower. The system in the United States is really broken to say the least. !!!
For the United States, I had to decide upon what health insurance I would choose what deductible, and how much I would choose, what copayment and if I wanted to in network or
out network doctor So overwhelming and still expensive !!!! And I am healthy and don’t even need any medicines and I’ve get nothing back.
Yes it's complicated!
You two are so sweet. Wish you the best from Russia ❤
Thank you
Penang has Adventist hospital.
it does
Thanks for your very informative detailed information on medical tourism in Malaysia. Can you share on youtube on your dental experience in Malaysia and put the link for me? Thanks.
WE had a great cleaning and Steve had some implant work done. The dentist name is in the description.
@@EatWalkLearn When you get a dental cleaning do you have to have some x-rays first as you do in the United States where they jam a lot of the metal things in your mouth or is there a more modern way to do that?
I have a small mouth and jamming all those x-ray. Things really hurts me. I’ve put off the dental cleaning because of that.
@@enjoystraveling if you want x-rays or don't, you can make that choice
@@EatWalkLearn Thanks for the info. I know it’s usually helpful to have x-rays especially if you might have gum disease but I just want to get a cleaning first I put it off so long because of Covid.
I know it’s my choice and I am trying to make an informed choice
@@EatWalkLearn I looked in the description, but I couldn’t seem to find any info about the dental. I did find information about books, suitcases, etc. though.
Great video! Have you ever researched or compared this is to medical care in the Philippines? Looking forward to your knee surgery video which might be in my 2023 cards.
I have not. I have compared to Turkey and Colombia though.
@@EatWalkLearn Thanks. I might do the same here in PI. Had some great dental work done in Turkiye.
I keep hearing about prince court🤔
It's a good one
Hi there, my husband and I will be in both Danang for 3 weeks and Hua Hin Thailand for 3 weeks. I see you are now in Vietnam. I'm wondering if this same service is available in Danang. I've noticed a medical facility called Vinmec but the information is very limited. Perhaps Vietnam just doesn't offer this type of service or it doesn't have a strong presence online.
I simply don't know
In a few months hopefully I will go to K L for the first time for medical wellness but I don’t want to rent a car. Is it easy to get there from staying in the center or sort of near the center? I don’t want to take a taxi heard there’s grab instead of Uber, I’d rather take public transport
Thanks in advance for any information.
Yes, public transit is ready and cheap as are Grabs
May I know do you need to apply for Medical tourism VISA ? How long do the Malaysian Gov. give for tourist visa ?
If you are frm the us or commonwealth countries you will get 3months visa upon arrival..
@@ashtriana1 Thank you.
Your doctor can probably extend your visa for medical reasons.
All of that is free in Canada
Is it free for foreigners as well or only canadian? In Malaysia it is also free for Malaysian
@@brownyadam Yea, but Malaysians do not rush to Canada. Foreigners rush to Malaysia which I claim is more costly than Canada
@@Burevestnik9M730 i look it up.. only free for canadian and permanent residence to get free healthcare in Canada.. im not sure if foreigners can stay that long other than rush to country like Malaysia to get quicker and cheaper healthcare..
I am trying to figure out what hospital and Country to go to for medical tourism. What about safety in the hospital?
Our experience is with the private hospitals in Kuala Lumpur. We felt very safe there. The nursing care was exceptional.
Give the address of your hospital
prince court medical centre, Kuala Lumpur
I am thinking about going to either Pantai or Prince Court hospital for check up and treatment. Which one is cheaper and offer better quality service? I need advice. Thanks.
At the time we did our check up we used Prince Court. Each hospital had service options and prices available on their website.
