When you have survived the mother of all breakups, you listen to this and you can't help but smile. The kind of smile you'd smile if wisdom was personified and lovingly kissed you on your forehead. she broke up with me..l.i tought i was going to see her for a coffie...that was 10 days ago...7y relationship...im 30....ah...i guess she was unhappy...and there is nothing i could do...she said she maybe did the worst mistake ever...you know i wrote her poems every monday since she was working 2 jobs..even thou she didnt need to...we were engaged...and now...its all getting to my head...she wasnt worth it...i gave her the best i can be...all i can tell her...she didnt know the jewel that she had...mistakes i made..she never helped me see them....she was a wonderful person....but she was not for me..even the way she broke with me...they way she did it..such utter disrespect...i enter the room..she sips beer and stars yelling and screaming...we met few days later...i was one talking and she was crying rivers of tears..at the end i was the one who held his head high...and now for me...a search for person who will love me like she at the end never did

Could this have been solved by dating others and see which fit best b4 marriage, it seems like theres a huge gap of personality that causes this not seen initially i think maybe ppl need to live together for some time to trully know 95%of them...
I can imagine how painful is that when you are investing in relationship where to others there is no value

That's what my bf did to me, absolutely heartbreaking and numbing. I knew we were not perfect but I wish he could have talked to me about how he felt.

Thank you Perry. I didnt wish to go into details about why I left, because I was still healing and I would have no integrity to use a global platform to ruin someone's reputation from a relative experience. I am sorry so one you loved left. Maybe its an opportunity to love yourself more instead.

This Ted talk is basically encouraging people to ditch their partners and a good relationship in order to find yourself. Doesn't matter what it will do to your partner,the important thing is you find yourself, because you're lost? You can't find yourself with your partner? Or maybe give more context to your story if that's not the case 🤔
