Thanks Tony. These changes will help my ordinary sounding Who Do i Turn To.
Thanks Tony. Pretty good for a man with a bandaged hand!
My wife once went to a televised Oscar concert in Reykjavik and promptly fell asleep in the front row. Jet lag. Sacrilege of course but has been a good dinner story for many years.
Thank Tony, beautiful..
Tony, back in the early 70s I used to play this on the accordion. I loved it. By the way, Tony, how old are you? I'm 74 (I imagine you are within ten years of that). I always loved Anthony Newley (Gonna Build a Mountain, If I Ruled the World, What Kind of Fool Am I?, The Joker, etc.). Candy Man blows my fuckin' mind. I like your lead sheet for "Candy Man". Nice. Thanks. Because of neuropathy, I can no longer play the accordion, but I can still play the piano (I taught myself). I discovered your channel during Covid and you have helped me advance beyond my wildest dreams on the piano. Thank you. I love chord nomenclature and how it facilitates the fingerings for the left and right hands in jazz piano.
Thanks , I'm 69
So, I am 5 years older than you. I have a sister 5 years younger than me and I have brothers 6 and nine years younger than me. So, I can relate to you. Tony, you won't believe the wonder of entering your 70s. It is Nirvana, man. It makes your teenage years look like a wet noodle (Sarc, LOL). By the way, Tony, what do you think of Jobim's "Wave"? I love it, of course. I love all of Jobim. Hey, how about doing Earth, Wind, and Fire's "September"? I have some trouble with its rhythm (but, man, it has a nice chord progression). I bet you could straighten that out quickly enough. I challenge you! Rise to this challenge! The greatest chord in "September" is the Asus13. It rocks! I cannot play like you in my hands, but I can in my mind. Thanks for doing what you do. You inspire this old man. P.S., you are an impressive singer, very suave and natural.
Wow,I wish I could do these kind of improvisations as well. Long way to go for me, however.
The name Bricusse looks rather French, but actually it's English (specifically, from the North of England). It's pronounced Brickus, and it means "brick house". Leslie Bricusse was a multi-talented man: a gifted composer and lyricist who also wrote screenplays.
Thanks so much
Hey Tony, do you do lessons online? Where can I contact you? Thanks!
Not currently. Jazz very hard to teach on zoom. sorry
Thx
That south paw will be 100% in no time...

No more injuries please!
Especially not your legendary hands XX
Tony is a Legend, not even a hand injury could get in his way.....
