Is IT possible to replace only the Touch Screen without the LCD? My Glass ist Just broken but the LCD does Not have any faults. IT IS a surface Go 2.

Thank you for this. I was able successfully to replace my shattered screen without a $400 repair bill or a month long wait while they did it. Your guidance helped me know what I was getting into before I broke it. I will point out that the E6000 adhesive gives off a staggering, unrelenting chemical stink that is not diminished over a week later. I can't stand to be in the same room with the device now. I'll have to ozonate it a number of times before the device is fully usable again. I'm not sure if the gum adhesive the factory uses is available, but I'll definitely opt for it if I do this again. Thank you again! I'm much obliged.

Your welcome, strange about the adhesive as mine does not have an odor. Maybe a bad batch as I have noticed a color different the older the glue…

Is it possible to replace just the top surface glass and not the entire digitizer?

Yes that’s called refurbishing, usually takes a lot more effort and higher skill set to do that rather than replace the LCD and digitizer as a fused part, mostly done on super expensive screens like flagship samsung and new series iPhone screens, however this method only applies if the OLED isn’t damaged as well as the glass.

hi, really cool video. Thanks for the tips im gonna do it by myself. I have a question for you: i broke my screen and im not sure about the dimension of the screen. Some one tell me one day that the size of monitors or screens in general are measured in diagonal, but when i see the specs, of the surface go 3 screen, it seems to be different. The dimensions looks like to be the horizontal and vertical. one. Which measurement i should take to buy a screen ? Thank you so much for your answer if you see my question.

Screen size is diagonal, surface go 1st gen is a 10”, surface go 2 and 3 are both 10.5”
