Great video - I just ordered a replacement screen, arriving tomorrow. I noticed on the replacement screen just like on yours, it doesn't come with the black pads on the back of the screen like the OEM screen does. Is that an issue, or what's the purpose of those?

Thanks a lot for the video! After replacement everything works except for the WiFi. Is it common to have WiFi problem after screen replacement? Should I replace WiFi Antenna if so?
On my Digitizer Control Board, the ribbon connectors are released by lifting the locking mechanism from the other side of the connector to that shown in this video. I found that out the expensive way.

Yes, as not too much heat is needed.
How do I know which model I have since mines been gifted to me
Lift the stand on the back, the model number is printed next the the serial number.

It really sucks that this screen costs so much to fix, because I love everything about this laptop for what I use it for, but my screen is cracked, and for what they charge for the replacement, you’re better off just buying a used gen 2 Surface Go
