Mr Crowley, what's that duet he does with Lena Ford?. Can't think of it right now. Perry Mason, Mr Brownstone, there's a bunch of them. I liked Sabbath, but I liked Ozzy solo beter.
Listen up Mollyboy… You are killing it!!! Love your channel, love the fact that you are giving this music a chance. I’m 52, I grew up on this shit man! You’re learning, fuck all the negative shit! Got to crawl before you walk. Great channel brother, keep up the good work.
Ozzy was kicked out of Black Sabbath in 1979 after their tour for the album "Never Say Die". I was lucky enough to see that tour, with a little known opening band named Van Halen (who blew them away). Was privilage to see Van Halen on their 1st headlining tour show ever in Fresno, CA. As well as Ozzy's Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman tours.
Ignore the haters!! I saw Ozzy on the Blizzard of Oz tour in 1981 and was blessed to have seen Randy live. He was an amazing guitar player, the best ever and gone too soon. I love how you are genuinely interested in our music and truly enjoy it. Keep it up !! And congrats on hitting 30k- been with you since 9k ☺
Really enjoying your videos!! Just found you the other day "Down with the Sickness". I agree with you. You're new to this genre. Welcome!!! Better late than never ❤
I remember hearing the story of when Rhodes was trying out for the band, and when Randy started playing, it didn't take more than a minute and Ozzy told him to stop and said that was the most beautiful playing he ever heard and hired him on the spot.
Ozzy is still producing excellent music. His latest 2 albums of new material (not remasters) is just as good as he was 40 years ago. I used their song, Black Sabbath off the Black Sabbath album as my wedding march for my Halloween themed wedding.
Funny enough this past Christmas I was hanging out with my Uncles just talking about concerts we had all seen over the past year and that lead to talking about past concerts and my Uncles were telling me they went to see Ozzy on the tour for this album with Randy Rhodes on guitar. One of my Uncles said "We knew even then we were witnessing greatness. We left thinking 'We got to see Ozzy with this Randy guy when they come around again.'" But Randy died before there was a next time, but they still remember all these years later just being in awe seeing him do his thing in that brief window of time.
The guitarist is Randy Rhoads if somebody hasn't already mentioned that unfortunately he was killed in a tragic plane accident accident, one of his friends was flying the plane in lost control and crashed.
Welcome to the wonderful world of one of the guitarist, Randy Rhodes. He was taken from us way to young. Listen to all the little additions he puts in a song
😂 I love it when people have an appreciation for a great guitar player. Fun fact is that the guitar player actually hated Black Sabbath and almost didn't audition for Ozzy, and when he finally did, Ozzy was freaking plastered. However, even totally drunk, brilliance was recognized. This song was on their debut album.
I absolutely love Ozzy and BS. You must one be one of the very few who can actually understand what he is saying. from Canada here I can only make out 1 out of 10 words
The legendary Randy Rhoads is playing the guitar , he was killed in a plane crash that crashed into Ozzy's tour bus parked in his driveway of his home .Tommi iomi is the guitarist with cut a finger and has a rubber prosthetic that he made him self , Tommi is the lead guitarist of Black Sabbath !!!! Good job Bruh good you want to know more !!! 🤘🔥🎸💯....
I don't know if anyone answered your questions yet so sorry if this is redundant. This came out in 1980. Blizzard of Ozz was Ozzy's first solo album after breaking away from Black Sabbath. Ozzy left Black Sabbath in 1978 for 3 months and started work on this album. The Black Sabbath band members convinced him to come back and they worked together on their next Black Sabbath album. The band went on tour with Van Halen but after some bad reviews Ozzy left again.
Randy Rhodes is playing. Tommy Iommi was missing the tips of his middle and ring fingers (Black Sabbath). Don't listen to the jerks who criticize you. I love your reactions and watching your face makes my heart happy. Keep it up!❤
Rest Easy Randy Rhoads your guitar playing was godly , Randy Rhoads' blistering solo from Ozzy Osbourne's “Crazy Train” has been ranked the most iconic guitar solo of all time by the folks at Loudwire , A peerless talent, he fused timeless riffs and solos of ingenious beauty and emotional fire. In his all-too-brief career, he created a catalog that has thrilled and inspired generations of musicians and hard-rock fans. next legend to check out Ronnie James Dio or Lemmy n Co
You should listen to the bass boosted versions of the And justice for all songs, especially One, Blackened, Harvester of Sorrow, and dyers eve. In the mixing of the justice album Jason Newsted’s bass lines were muted by james hetfield and Lars Ulrich, his bass lines are so heavy and he wrote the main riff of blackened. anyways cheers mate
I don't understand how people can be annoyed at you for not knowing everything about bands you're just discovering... I mean, we've all been there, and as you said, it's already cool that you're interested in those bands. Knowledge will come at his own pace. Also, for me the best Ozzy + Randy song is Mr Crowley, Randy's solos in this always bring a tear to my eye
The guitarist you are asking about with missing finger is Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath he actually lost a couple of fingertips when he was a factory worker
I love the look on your face when reactimg but especially during a badass solo! Rip Randy Rhoads .(also ozzys had a few guitarists including Jake E. Lee who played guitar on bark at the moon, another one you should listen to)
To this day Ozzy can't understand why Randy was on that plane to begin with. Ozzy said Randy hated flying. In any event, had he lived, he was quitting the band to go pursue a degree in classical music and most likely return to teaching at his mother's music school. We probably would've heard as much out of him at that point as Vito Bratta. (Guitarist for White Lion) That makes two incidents where bus drivers robbed the music world: Randy and Cliff Burton
RR, The Man and the Legend. For some it's Jimi, some its Eddie, then there are those that covet Randy's 2 albums. The missing finger is missing from Sabbath. Geezer Butler I think. Sorry, read Iomi.
Still love it when one of my sons stumbles on some of the great tunes from that era, then come to tell me about it. Gotta admit , it always puts a smile on my face.
I’m another old guy who absolutely loves when those of your generation delve into our old stuff, listens to it and possibly appreciates it! Other old people should really cut you all the slack in the world!
People giving you shit for not knowing info about the band you are checking out can piss off!!! I personally love the fact that the younger peeps are discovering this music!! Like when I was in high school back in the 80's I really got into music from the 1960's....I am really glad I found your channel!
To me, people giving you $h!t is like someone giving it to me because when I was 11 when this song came out, I loved it, BUT, in saying that, I also was checking out the Beatles, beach Boys, Danny and the juniors, Chuck berry, the untouchable BUDDY F'N HOLLY, The Who, etc... so, u guess we're in the same boat, right? I respect ya for expanding your musical library. Also, I caught alot of crap because I started to dabble into listening to Mozart, Bach, Strauss, etc. It's funny how much Mwtal and Classical have the same complexity, meaning the building of emotions throughout the song/piece, and how they do it it within the chord structure and the flow of the music. Also, there was a study at Princeton University and they discovered that the people with the highest I.Q's listened to Classical. I bet you can't guess who came in a close 2nd place? Yep, you guessed it, fans of Metal!!! With hard rock and rock coming in 3rd, then country and bubble gum pop [ Top 40 radio music] then rap bringing up the final spot respectfully. Anyways, got off track there, I just think it's kinda comical that this girl I met in high school HATED Metal because un her words it was music for satanic burnouts, who couldn't tie their shoes if you gave them 6 tries!!! Lol. So, as we became friends, we slowly got to know each others friends, and instead of being afraid of my friends, she ended up enjoying talking with them. She was shocked at most of their knowledge in books, history, and their philosophical look at music. And, soon (Though she NEVER became a fan of Metal music, she LOVED the story telling and how well versed the song writers were). She ended up looking at her friends very differently after that, and sion realized that most of them were just copying other people's thoughts, and just adding their own verbiage to them. Instead of, like my friends, having original thoughts, ideas, and takes on things, though not always correct, they learned alot by throwing their own ideas our there, and having each of us either correct them where they were wrong, or being fascinated by them and adding to them. To wrap up this story about this "high school friend" we each went and lived life on our own paths for several years, before running back into each other years later. 18 years, and a beautiful baby boy later, I can honestly say I've NEVER been with someone I've had more fun talking to, even after all these years. We still learn things from each order. We constantly ask each other if the other knows the answer to whatever problem they're having. And we enjoy bouncing things off of each other, and seeing what we can learn from the other. I'm completely and totally in love with her, and can tell just by the way she still looks at me that she loves me. With just a look, she let's me know that I'm the love of her life. Those are the times that my knees almost give out. Anyways, she's the absolute missing piece to the puzzle that is my happiness. And, I can't remember how I was ever happy without her!!! Lol. Anyways, I wanna end this novel by saying, I LOVE YA BEAUTIFUL, and thank you to all the Metal artists who gave us fodder to discuss while we was getting to know each others personal thoughts on!!!
As one of those old guys, ignore anyone that's giving you crap about your reactions. Just glad to see people keeping this awesome music alive. Rock on!
I'm a 90's kid and this is the kind of music I grew up with and I agree also if I count lol. I was one of the only metal heads in my high school in Ireland. My friends all liked rap and electronic dance music and wore Nike and Adidas tracksuits whereas I was rocking boots, jeans and a leather jacket and vests. I was the odd one out and got so much crap from everyone including my mates 😂 but it was the pioneers of this music in the 70's and 80's that got me interested in the modern rock and metal scene rather than the reverse of discovering old music later in life. They must be appreciated.
He was amazing and a big loss, you actually feel the riffs that match Ozzy's voice, never been anyone else to compare,he would of been impressed with the younger generation playing his music!Ozzy is a favorite then and now!
This guitarist is THE late Randy Rhodes. Considered one if not THE best guitarist ever. Tommi Iomi was the Black Sabbath guitarist with the tip of his finger missing. RIP RR
Randy Rhodes is the GOAT as far as i'm concerned. He's from where I grew up in the East of Los Angeles and the Valley....he's buried in San Bernardino cemetery...always wanted to pay my respects....such a staggering loss when he died so young....
Everybody calling everyone the goat....if you didn't know the goat came from Baphemet...as the G O A T came from baphemet...thier one in the same...most people don't realize that...they just think thier calling them the greatest of all time..
I am an old metalhead. I appreciate you learning and hearing great music. Screw the haters. You are doing great. New subscriber!!!!! Ask all the questions you want bro!! I promise it is the younger people who think they know our music. WE OLD HEADS LOVE YOU!!!!
Crazy Train is pretty good, but there’s better! I’d recommend “Diary of a Madman” if you want to hear Randy Rhoads at his peak, before he tragically died. His next guitarist (Jake E. Lee) was excellent- check out “Shot In the Dark” or “Ultimate Sin”. An added bonus- he also played in the band Badlands, and “Winter’s Call” is outstanding. His NEXT guitarist was crazy good (Zakk Wylde), and I hold the entire album “No Rest For The Wicked” in very high regard. “Miracle Man”, “Devil’s Daughter”, which has a ridiculous guitar solo, and “Crazy Babies” are just a few highlights.
There's a guitarist on here who does all the solos, note for note, on Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin. You can see just how good Jake was. And some of those finger stretches, man...
I live about 20 miles from where the plane crashed. I drove down there on the morning of the 40 year anniversary of his death arriving ( 10 am )to pay my respects. I was the only one there and looked around at the house that was rebuilt and looks exactly the same as it did on that dreadful day. I always wondered what Randy’s life would have been like if he had lived. 😢
@@stuarttacey you are forgetting who he was around everyday the final years of his death. Most people start with cigarettes, then alcohol, then pills, then ___ (insert drug here). Just saying. Not that he could’ve been above it all, but chances are not 0.
As one of your "older viewers" your reactions are great! We love when younger generations are interested in what we grew up with. You keep doin' what you're doin' my man. Your reactions are outstanding. F@%& the haters!
Mollyboy. I love your channel. The death of Randy still hits me bad to this day even 42 years on... RIP randy rhoads. Mr Crowley live is a must. Suicide solution solo from Tribute is essential Tony iommi is the black sabbath guitar player who had the tips of his fretting fingers cut off in an accident before black sabbath. Randy died in a plane crash in 1982 rip 😢
As a member of the "older generation" I appreciate you listening to our music, I enjoy watching you discover it. Remember, our music gave birth to your music ;)
Blizzard of Ozz was the first vinyl record I owned. My oldest brother gave it to me when he moved out on his own. I still cherish that album and still enjoy listening to it after all these years. And bro, ask any and every question you want to learn about these great bands and songs. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to know about the music you are enjoying.
As an old person, I applaud you for listening to this music; so many people from ALL generations don't appreciate some of the creative genius of that time. I've been watching a lot of reaction videos for some time now, and you're doing okay. Anyone who expects you to automatically know some fact beforehand fails to get the point. Also, the breaks and the pauses were fine, the commentary good, and I'm sure we'll get all the gaps filled in! (I did notice your accent matched Ozzy's, small world, eh?)
The guitarist you heard was missing a finger is actually Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. And he is missing the tips of two fingers... he ost them in an accident. The lead guitarist here is the legendary Randy Rhodes... who is regarded to be one of the greatest guitarists ever. Randy died in a plane accident only a couple of years after this was recorded in 1980. I cannot even imagine how he would regarded if he were alive today.
You are listening to this in 2024, I listened to this in 1984, there is a difference in appreciation, but massive probs to the younger generation for appreciating the journey of metal...
I for one will never give you shit, I'm psyched that you're giving this stuff a chance (and liking it)! I bought this album from a classmate in high school for like 5 bucks, and it was ultimately his loss. Give the track "Mr. Crowley" a listen - it's a little slower, but it's got some of my favorite guitar work by Rhoads. Thanks as always!
Not Randy on that one, however. Credit for that solo deservedly goes to Jake E. Lee. Randy only lived 2 more years after Blizzard of Ozz was released. 💔
As a 66 yr old dude.....I apologize for my generation. We tend to to forget that 20 year olds have never been exposed to this. We can get really self righteous.
Ozzy is a lover of melodic songs and he has been able to explore this more in his solo work, than he could with Sabbath. Ozzy and Randy had a great relationship, both personally and professionally and I think this comes out in the music that they made together? Diary of a madman, from the second album shows just how amazing Randy was. Another sad loss.
Gotta love Randy Rhoads he died about 50 miles from where I live in a small plane crash. Truly tragic! Must do more please! Hey I’m 57 and I honestly respect you Bro! Thanks for being you and being honest it’s what I really enjoy about your Reactions! You keep it real…just be yourself it Awesome!
Mate, this song is 40+ years old. The guitarist is Randy Rhodes! It was the Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi that was missing digits. I am honestly overjoyed to see a younger person discovering this music. Rock on laddie!!!!
Number 1: GOOD FOR YOU!!! If there are rude people harassing you over you listening to OUR music, then def put them in their place. They deserve it. #2. yes, that is Randy Rhoades on the guitar. #3. for more of Randy Rhoades history go and watch the Edgar Winter Group do "Frankenstien." and be ready to lose your mind. Further, I appreciate your comments and your honesty. And, I am always thrilled to find a YOUNG person listening to OLD MUSIC and enjoying it as much was we did when it was on the radio every hour of every day. We did not have the Internet and to hear songs over and over we had to call in to the radio station and bug the heck out of the DJ to play our favorite songs. There were 4 Billion LESS people on the earth back then and yet folks were selling millions and millions of albums. Half of today's artists would never have made it back then when it was the listeners who decided what songs got airplay. Today, the RIAA executives hold ALL the cards. Stay rebellious. Think for yourself. Don't trust anyone in politics or media or medicine or tech. Trust only yourself and Jesus Christ. Everyone else is on the dole. Fame is more important to most than is love and compassion. You've experienced that for yourself. Those ignorant old fogies who throw all the hate at you have no appreciation for your humility and adventurous spirit. I am CERTAIN that the old musical artists ALL appreciate your efforts to learn about them and their music. Keep the birds flying for those other morons. Maybe they'll get s** in their eyes and go bllind to match their ignorance and stupidity. Good job young man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to good music and good times. Peace out.
Randy had NOTHING to do with Edgar Winter "Frankenstein". He was 15 when that came out. Ronnie Montrose played guitar on that album and Rick Derringer is on the RUclips video.
@@zipcdr Thanks so much, zip. I was told it was Randy. And now, having looked deeper into it, you are absolutely right. Goes to show, you can't just take someone's word for things. We simply must do the research. Thank goodness you spoke up and knew what you were talking about! 🙂
@@theevagabondpoet I wasn't trying to be an ass ,but I was a freshman in high school when Frankenstein came out. I am glad we both are fans of one of the greatest guitar players ever.

Preach ot Kattmurr. I totally agree. People have to stop talking down on Molly bro lad.
Agreed 👍
As one of those old guys, ignore anyone that's giving you crap about your reactions. Just glad to see people keeping this awesome music alive. Rock on!
As another one of those old guys, I agree. I love watching younger people discover this music. Hope you enjoy the journey.
Keyboard cowboys with thunder thumbs that have never been knocked out.
@@chriswood232 yes i remember mhy pleasure hearing them back when they were new.
There isn't much better than watching someone get blown away by Randy Rhoads for the first time. My all time favorite guitarist.
RIP RR
Tips of his fingers mate...fingers.
@chuckjohnson5235 understood but not the point I was making.
@chuckjohnson5235 not nitpicking details. Just explaining who was who for the content creator.
*Rhoads
@@byerenny *auto correct
Someone who recognized the value and magic of Randy Rhodes's solo at first hearing deserves respect.
Randy Rhodes is the GOAT as far as i'm concerned. He's from where I grew up in the East of Los Angeles and the Valley....he's buried in San Bernardino cemetery...always wanted to pay my respects....such a staggering loss when he died so young....
Randy RHOADS. He's not a Greek island.
😂@@ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords
My metal head friends use to stop by his moms house in Burbank to say hi after he passed. I grew up in the valley
Everybody calling everyone the goat....if you didn't know the goat came from Baphemet...as the G O A T came from baphemet...thier one in the same...most people don't realize that...they just think thier calling them the greatest of all time..
@robl1613 what are you rambling on about? It's not that serious dipwad! And by the way Randy IS one of the GOATS
Mr Crowley is excellent!
Badlands put out 3 amazing albums. Such a pity that their lead singer was such a despicable excuse for a man.
Diary of A Madman is a must.
There's a guitarist on here who does all the solos, note for note, on Bark at the Moon and Ultimate Sin. You can see just how good Jake was. And some of those finger stretches, man...
@@haxan6663Well Ozzy isn't exactly squeaky clean, screwing Jake out of songwriting credits. Although I'm sure that was more Sharon than him.
A true metalhead would never give someone crap for just discovering the music. 59 year old me says welcome to club. All aboard!
Randy Rhoads was a guitar genius. His solo during Suicide Solution from the Tribute album is next level awesome.
@@sabrinapittsley2304probably would’ve died from drugs a few years later.. Ozzy being alive is a miracle to say the least. Lol
@matthewbryan1425 Probably not. He didn't touch drugs unlike many others from the rock scene at the time.
Randy was devoted to the music.
@@McCarlKnoxville The only drug Randy was into was nicotine.
@@stuarttacey you are forgetting who he was around everyday the final years of his death. Most people start with cigarettes, then alcohol, then pills, then ___ (insert drug here). Just saying. Not that he could’ve been above it all, but chances are not 0.
Us old rockers love seeing young people react the same way we did when we first heard these bands.
DIARY OF A MADMAN
My favorite Ozzy song. I really hope he checks it out.
Tonight also
Not only my favorite Ozzy song but my vote for the best album closer of all time.
Excellent song!!! ❤
Good calls here. I always like S.A.T.O, too

Ooh yes Mr Crowley!
As one of your "older viewers" your reactions are great! We love when younger generations are interested in what we grew up with. You keep doin' what you're doin' my man. Your reactions are outstanding. F@%& the haters!
Randy Rhoads was truly amazing, a died far too young. The brief time he was around left us with some of the GREATEST artIstry EVER.
You Gotta check out MR. Crowley....the live version from like '81....blow you away brother....
Let the haters hate. You are doing a hell of a job. Love all around.
Here in America, you can't make it through a sporting event without hearing this song. R.I.P Randy Rhodes.
Mollyboy. I love your channel. The death of Randy still hits me bad to this day even 42 years on... RIP randy rhoads. Mr Crowley live is a must. Suicide solution solo from Tribute is essential
Tony iommi is the black sabbath guitar player who had the tips of his fretting fingers cut off in an accident before black sabbath.
Correct! Those who don’t ask questions are less likely to find answers. Not already knowing isn’t bad, as long as you’re willing to learn, right?
Same here I found both Blizzard of Oz & Diary of A Madman both unopened at my local Good Will. Crazy finds
@@KenzieTrinityDeasyNow that is what I call luck! They were meant for you, at least that’s how I would take it.
I subbed to you a few days ago. I'm... old. Mid-50s, and, seriously, I love watching you find stuff new to you that I've loved for decades.
On guitar, the man, the legend, Mr Randy Rhoades
I for one love the pushback on the comments. Give em hell!
The World has just started to turn for you. that solo is perfect. utterly PERFECT.
Black Sabbath "Snowblind" for sure
Snowblind is my joint favourite Sabbath track with Paranoid.
It’s a banger
Ozzy "BARK AT THE MOON" wicked song, classic guitar solo!❤🇨🇦
Not Randy on that one, however. Credit for that solo deservedly goes to Jake E. Lee. Randy only lived 2 more years after Blizzard of Ozz was released. 💔
@@chrisergna617Not even 2 years. 17 months maybe.
I’m old, I’ve seen ozzy live, and have much respect for what you are doing, ignore the naysayers and share your journey.
Lived in Leesburg Florida where Randy died same place and year it happened miss him always
55 year old female in Mississippi and have been watching your channel for a bit now. Don’t change anything. Folks our age are very loyal!
