I was supposed to see Ozzy & Randy at the Orange Bowl in Miami when he died here in Florida the day before. I heard about his death on the radio as we were driving to the concert. Absolutely surreal.
Umm hmm...oz so sweet and caring that he punched Rhoads in the mouth two weeks before being put into a situation that cost him (Rhoads) his life. Ozzy still has everything Randy gave him. What does Randy have?
I'm glad you read the lyrics, misspellings and all. Back in the day, you bought OZZY's album and the lyrics were all on the liner sleeve. That’s how you knew there was more to Ozzy than biting a head off of a bat. (It was an accident, btw) That guitarist was Randy Rhoads, one of the best guitarists ever!!! He was killed in 1982 at the age of 25 in a plane crash. He studied classical guitar and mixed it with heavy metal to create the soaring solos you liked so much. Who knows what he would have done if he had lived. Ramdy's death almost destroyed OZZY because they were such close friends. Both the Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman Albums are full of bangers!! RIP Randy.

OZZY OSBOURNE: THURSDAY MARCH 18TH 1982: RANDY RHOADS LAST SHOW AT THE KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLISEUM: DIARY OF A MADMAN TOUR: Upon entering the coliseum after buying my tour shirt and ticket 🎫 stub processing: I noticed the stage was set up like a medieval castle with arches and bats 🦇 flying around the top of them. There was a staircase leading up to Tommy Aldridge’s Drumkit. The top left of Tommy was where Donny Airey’s keyboards were set up. Stage right and left had to cages with which Randy Rhoads would appear from the floor stage right and Rudy Sarzo stage left. OZZY had a throne of which he would appear out of to start the show to Over the Mountain. Tommy had his drum tech dressed as an Executioner stand beside his kit with his arms crossed. The staircase had a small section that would open and a small dwarf named: Ronnie (after Ronnie James Dio the new singer for Black Sabbath-replacing OZZY) and hand OZZY towels and water between songs. Little did we all know that later in the show: the executioner would bring the dwarf out to be hung from the rafters and later he would cut off his head using a guillotine! At the end of the show OZZY climbed onto a giant mechanical hand that OZZY stood on top of and launched unspecified meat 🥩 🍖 into the audience! Of course it was all an a theatrical act as the dwarf appeared to take a bow with OZZY and the band. When OZZY smiled we noticed he put vampire 🧛♀️ teeth in! We laughed hard! I went to the show with my friend Richard and his older brother Greg who was 18 at the time. We were 13. Greatest show on earth! Richard and I were both terrified and thrilled at what we witnessed! Unfortunately the next morning all that excitement and energy was gone as we learned that Randy Rhoads perished in a plane crash in Florida. Richard and I played drums but Greg played guitar 🎸 and he definitely took it the hardest! One of the greatest guitarist of our generation and had just won the new guitarist of the year by Guitar Player magazine. Rest In Peace Randy Rhoads your music lives on! Great song, and Randy Rhoads is known as one of the best guitarists of all-time even though he passed away in a plane crash at the young age of just 25.
Dad knew Randy personally and always had nothing but kindness and admirable things to say. Such a gifted person, gentle happy soul and a classically trained BEAST on guitar! RIP
Thank you guys for doing this reaction and I loved it. Seeing young people really watch and listen to " my Generation" music and getting it ! So many think / beluev3 what yhe hear about someone just like ozzy his music , it happens with all us regular people as well. But after listening and getting to know someone things weren't always what they seemed ! Ty you for hearing that message not to late to love and forget about hate, too bad everyone doesn't hear that message ! Keep having fun and I will keep watching you !
You guys are great!Black Sabbath was my favourite band when I came back from VietNam.Thru Ozzie, I felt a connection and the words in Crazy Train,War Pigs and IronMan really gave me some piece to having served in the military during another dumb war.
I absolutely love you boys!! You never fail to entertain me! Ozzy Osbourne is a legend. I have been to many of his concerts and the vibe is indescribable. You crack me up
Given how much you all enjoyed both the lyrics and the guitar riffs, you should really check out Living Colour's "Cult of Personality". It's a strong, timeless message and Vernon Reid is one of the guitar greats.
Love you guys reaction; I just discovered this song yesterday as almost 60 yrs old and I feel just like you! So awesome! A masterpiece! I love the guy on the right who takes notices of the misspellings!
"Diary of a Madman" by Ozzy Osbourne is another masterpiece. Randy Rhoads was Ozzy's first guitar player in his solo band, performing on Ozzy's first two solo albums; also responsible for the guitar in "Crazy Train." Every one of Randy Rhoads' performances is a master class in guitar virtuosity and songwriting. However, "Diary of a Madman" is Randy Rhoads' magnum opus, in my opinion. He tragically died in a plane crash during the "Diary of a Madman" tour.
One of the greatest Rock songs of All-Time! Now you need to check out more of the classics, like "Hells Bells" or "Highway to Hell" by ACDC. Timeless epics!
I saw Ozzy in concert in 1981 when he was touring for this album. In San Bernardino. This is the first time I ever saw all the words. Much deeper than I realized. Thanks for the video.
Ozzy be preaching the good word and truth. Everyone should live by this message. Crazy he preaches this in the early 80’s . Thanks for opening your mind, would love to see you guys at any metal show, it would really blow your minds how friendly and welcoming they are, of course there is always dickheads wherever you go but you guys would trip out in a good way. Good job guys, spread the word
This song is amazing and y'all's reaction is priceless! You have got to hear THE OFFSPRING. Probably their best song is "Gone Away" about the pain of someone dying and how they'd trade places if they could. "Come Out and Play" is another awesome Offspring song. And get this: the lead singer, Dexter, has a PhD in Molecular Biology! So one very smart guy!
@@celliet5780 That's an awesome album! I love the Offspring! One if my very favorite bands, and I'd love to see them listen to some of their songs and watch their videos. Their new stuff is really good also. But the 90s stuff takes me back to the music we listened to as teens. Just too good not to be appreciated. They might like "Pretty Fly fir a White Guy" as well
Oh, and I forgot to mention: Dexter also started his own Hot Sauce 🌶🌶 company! I bought my husband a set with three different ones in there. I think it's called Gringo Hot Sauce or something. So Dexter is: 1) Lead singer, 2) Molecular Biologist and 3) creator of Hot Sauce company 😀
Ozzy is a huge history buff. A lot of metal is about history. The lead singer of Iron Maiden is actually a history professor. A lot of metal is about social injustice, including race injustice, war. Listen to Rage against the Machine, read up on whst "Killing in the name of.." is before you listen to it. They have a couple other ones, too.
It PAINS me to watch people listen to rock, punk, metal and believe it's just about childish rebellion, but it means the smear propaganda worked. That people think Ozzy coined himself the prince of darkness and that the demonizing of his character wasn't a direct response to songs like war pigs is exactly why we have not united to reclaim justice. That these men can react to RATM and miss all the lyrics and never bother to look them up or listen to anything else, lyrics so incredibly relevant, is why they didn't progress much unity. Exploring music is not just fun and games, it's deep education and history lessons, which is why channels like this are so awesome, but also often disappointing.
Great reaction guys. I have heard this song a thousand times, and I didnt known those lyrics. Buy the way, that was Ozzy’s solo project,Randy Rhodes on lead guitar. He died in a plane crash in the 80’s. .
Randy Rhodes is one of the greatest guitar players of any genre who ever lived. He recorded 2 albums with Ozzy after Ozzy left Black Sabbath. He died way too young in a plane crash at the age of 25. May he rest in peace. Peace
I like that you guys are keeping open minds and recognizing the deep lyrics that rock music contains. The same as Rap. Also, the way you can feel the music. Obviously some are better than others. Can’t wait to see your reactions to Garth Brooks! Start with “Lonesome Dove”
Right there with you, listening to old rock lyrics with a new perspective. Rock and Roll was, for the most part, misrepresented in the media and by the government and now we know why!
I love watching you guys respecting and appreciating all genres of music 🙌🏻 You can feel the music as a viewer, travelling through your bodies and souls. Loving it fellas, all the way from Australia 🇦🇺 I look forward to following your channel 🙏🏻
That's exactly why you should use lyric videos for all first reactions. If someone want's you to react to a live performance or a music video (for the video itself) and you haven't heard the song, use a lyric video for your first reaction. So many people miss so much of songs they react to because they don't catch the lyrics.
@DunceInAwhile I agree hopefully the spelling will be on point. The typos were bad... but, the reaction of the young guy in the gray Nike T made me literally 😆 🤣 😂 My favorite Ozzy song, momma I'm coming home is #2
Thank you for calling out the incorrect spelling. It's so annoying. Deep lyrics from Ozzy. He's the one who feels like he is going crazy and his life is going off the rails. His life, the world, is the crazy train. Great, all-time classic song. So sad young guitar phenom Randy Rhoades died so young. My favourite Ozzy solo song is Flyin' High Again.
Ozzy's daughter asked him if he was deaf after she asked him the same question a number of times. He looked at her and said "I spent every night for all these years having 10.000 decibels blasting my ears. What do you think?"Legendary.
Rest in peace randy Rhoades the guitarist. Randy was a classically musician with a rockers heart and taken too young in a plane crash

Sincerely,
Gary Lagstrom
RONNIE THE DWARF: PLAYED BY JOHN ALLEN:
HUNG DURING GOODBYE TO ROMANCE
HEAD CUT OFF BEFORE LAST SONG: PARANOID
That spinning mechanical sound at start of song the round cylinder of a revolver GUN old school boys Genius. Great vids ever do my favorite rap song Might be Bias old white rock for me. Aerosmith and RUN DMC,
Great song, and Randy Rhoads is known as one of the best guitarists of all-time even though he passed away in a plane crash at the young age of just 25.
in metal Randy cannot be touched!!!!
Dad knew Randy personally and always had nothing but kindness and admirable things to say. Such a gifted person, gentle happy soul and a classically trained BEAST on guitar! RIP
Imagine listening to this in 1982 on your way to high school. Good times
Great song.... I loved the trick daddy cover too
....well trick daddy sampled the music LETS GO!!!!
You crack me up
I feel sorry for those who didn't listen to Ozzy back in the 80's and hear his message
Hahaha Oliver!!! Love you guys. Your reactions are priceless. As a Louisiana native, I love how ya'll give props!
Randy Rhodes is the guy spazzing on the guitar....my favorite guitar god❤ R.I.P.🙏
Gotta love how when you guys hear rap your heads bob, and when you hear rock, you bang it. It's just instinct. Love watching you guys!
Ozzy Osbourne The Godfather of metal
I've watched a mess of your videos and what stands out is your confidence. You were clearly raised with love and support. You are pure joy.
Why is that crazy?
This song is amazing and y'all's reaction is priceless! You have got to hear THE OFFSPRING. Probably their best song is "Gone Away" about the pain of someone dying and how they'd trade places if they could. "Come Out and Play" is another awesome Offspring song. And get this: the lead singer, Dexter, has a PhD in Molecular Biology! So one very smart guy!
Yes! I was listening to Americana the other day and thought they should get into The Offspring! So punk rock!
Yes !! And “Why Don’t You Get a Job”
They might like "Pretty Fly fir a White Guy" as well
@@samantharose1144 Yes!! That song is so catchy and hilarious! They'd surely love it!
Brandon keeping it real, that's why we respect and love him.
Love your reaction. Back in the day the music lasted longer and they played their hearts off.
So glad you put the words up, I've heard this song so many times. Never knew how logical his words were, even in today's society.
This!
He's also a pilot and has a doctorate in music
What the hell does that have to do with anything?
And Ozzy being a history buff is a laugh.
@@Rjensen2😂
My favorite song by Ozzy!🤘🤘
I love seeing these black fellows completely getting it and enjoying the music of my youth! 👊
I love watching these boys discover these tracks 💜
Right there with you, listening to old rock lyrics with a new perspective. Rock and Roll was, for the most part, misrepresented in the media and by the government and now we know why!
I love these rock reaction videos from you !!!!
Such a good song! Would love y'all to listen to Megadeth's Peace Sells next
Not only has everyone heard this, but This is one of the first songs almost every rock guitarist learns how to play.
Even those little solo tags in the chorus? And the solo holy shit
Oh, nonsense.
Randy rhodes... The man... the myth ...the legend🔥🔥🔥
I love watching you guys rock. Excellent reaction!
The typos were bad... but, the reaction of the young guy in the gray Nike T made me literally 😆 🤣 😂 My favorite Ozzy song, momma I'm coming home is #2
I have never seen a lyric video with everything spelled correctly, it’s crazee actually 😂
@@Whateva67 It's even crazier when you consider that you can 99.9% of the time get the lyrics from google with everything spelled correctly.
You guys should definitely do more lyric videos. Brings a whole new meaning to the songs. You miss a lot when you don’t know what they are saying.
Ozzy is the Charlie Wilson of heavy metal. A true survivor and a legend.
Funny and smart
Ozzy ...black sabbath ..all thier songs have messages ...love...war..drugs ...the goats of heavy metal .
Randy Rhodes was not of this world. Sharon Osborne called him Ozzys musical soulmate. He looked like an angel. No one compares. ❤ RIP
Rule # 1 never pause during a solo!
Ozzy's daughter asked him if he was deaf after she asked him the same question a number of times. He looked at her and said "I spent every night for all these years having 10.000 decibels blasting my ears. What do you think?"Legendary.
14 years old in NJ big hair, great times. Best time of my life. Love my Ozzy went to every oz fest.. took my kids when they were old enough
I love how much you know about the culture of Ozzy. As always, well, done gents!
