I've been on the hunt for something to help me with my never-ending task list ... Your videos are exactly what I've been searching for. I'm a GTDer and a OneNote user so this falls right into my wheelhouse. THANK YOU for your amazing videos and the kindness shown by sharing your ideas. Keep those videos coming!!
Very helpful, thank you for help. I have been using OneNote for a long time.... But not as effectively as I should, your suggestions are a major game changer
Hahaha, You're so welcome! Please share my videos if you find them helpful. I could always use more followers. I think OneNote tags are the best thing since sliced bread. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
I hope so too. But I do not think that it is Microsoft's issue, I think there are some restrictions with the max iOS software that causes the problems.
Hi everyone, Thanks for watching today's video on using Tags in OneNote to create your GTD lists. Pleae leave me a comment about which "Tag" you use the most! I know some people have modified tags to make them very specific for their life. I love reading your comments.
Thank you for your comment. I would be happy to help but I am not sure what sort of challenging and complex examples you might be looking for. Can you tell me more about the problem you are trying to solve?
Haha I just found out I'm a BEE, I literally teared up when she was describing stuff I do! And funny I saw this because one of my goals for 2023 is to declutter, organize and decorate my home!!
Very nice & fun work Crystal. Using a number of boxes on a page is interesting too. I'm not sure why you would have to forward unfinished tasks thus cluttering your list w/ multiple entries. I am at, or a little further, on some elements and less on others than U. I use to use MS Excel for more flexibility & complexity but switched my planning to OneNote & Inspiration software (for visual brainstorming, force-ranking, etc.) mainly for sync'g w/ phone. I too have been asking MS to provide a tagging menu on Android. Unfortunately, as detailed and color-coded my plans, my A.D.D. gets in the way of GTD. I mostly end up using the 'TODAY' tag and the A1, A2...priority ranking. I'll subscribe and keep watching....thanks again, Tim (MN)
Customizing my tags and being able to add multiple tags to one item really helps keep me from loosing anything. I only create summary pages if I am going to be offline for any length of time. Mostly I use the find tags summary feature. I agree that MS is lacking with tags on Android and IOS devices. The good news is that these devices show the tags and you can add other items with those tags lists by clicking return to continue the list. Maybe one day they will give OneNote some love. Thanks for your comments. 😊
Well you lost me there. 😵💫 What is the point of having an agenda if all you need to do is making an organize brain dumps page with tags? By the way, I like the way you teach, it helps me a lots with my learning disabilities. Also, I’m loosing my brain just having multiple pages and a google calendar couple with Alexa lol! The ting is I also need those other pages to focus on. 😅
Thank you for the teaching complimnet. That really means a lot to me. My goal for this channel is to help others, so I am happy that I am able to do that. Regarding the tags, not all of my tagged items are on my In Box Page, they might be on a weekly page, or my dashboard or in some random note from a meeting. The best part about the tags is that no matter where you write them down and tag them, when you do a find tags summary, they are found and appear all together on one list. I too keep a google calendar and I use Alexa to add things to it. I like to subscribe to other calendars like my favorite baseball team and library events so I know what is going on. All of these things work together for me in my weekly review that I do on Friday afternoons. I hope you continur to find use in this information. OneNote is an amazing product, especially for people like us with ADHD. Happy Planning.
Very interesting, but too creative and not that practical. It takes some time to do the job which most of people do not have. Try the TSW Method... Besides that the tags in onenote, once created, doesn't follow in all interfaces, such as web and mobile. MS is still sneaking with tags.
Thanks for watching. I admit there are some issues with the tags on the mobile and IOS versions. I hear MS is working on that. However, the tags don’t go away on those platforms and you can copy them to add others to that list. I will look into the TSW method.
@@CrystalClearLife MS to Do and MS Planner are also something that should be taken in consideration, especially after MS combined To do with Wunderlist. Onenote is great for me and use it with links attached to Ms TO DO. Anyway, great JOB!
