I'm intrigued (and excited) by tags. I'm new to GTD and find your OneNote videos for GTD incredibly helpful. I have a lot to learn, but am very grateful that I found your channel. Do you do 1:1 coaching? On my screen the top of the video is missing, so I cannot see what you're clicking on.
Welcome aboard! Glad you are finding this useful. I have not thought about 1:1 coaching at this time. But am happy to answer your questions in the comments.
I’m loving all your ideas! I wish I could implement them all at once, but then I get overwhelmed. What do you recommend would be the first three things to start doing in my OneNote planner?
Great question. First I would say set up a long term yearly calendar for 2024 and start populating it with upcoming events. Second I would think about and set up customized tags so that you can categorize your tasks or action items as you write them down. They don't have to be perfect, you can always change them. Third, start where you are. If you currently use a paper weekly, create a weekly you are comfortable with, use that and add other things as you go. Again you can always change, add or take away things as needed. I hope this helps and you are successful at implementing a planner. Also, thank you for your kind words. 😃
Hi, Crystal. I like all of your ideas with respect to the GTD system. One very quick question on the Capture stage; Once you identify an item as a NA, do you simply delete the line in your In Box. For example, you declared Tennis Stringing as a NA item. When you have completed the task (Tennis Stringing), do you go back to your InBox and delete it? Reason for inquiring is the Inbox is accumulating quite rapidly. Thank you for the videos.
@@timburchill3260 thanks for the question Tim. If an item is no longer relevant and I do not need to track it for any reason I will simply delete that item. If it is something that I need to keep track of to say why it was canceled for some reason then I will simply strike through it and leave it on my inbox. I can give it a check to say that it is no longer on my to do list but the strikethrough lets me know that it was actually canceled. I hope this clears things up for you. Thanks again for watching
Thanks so much! (Could you use a monthly template to avoid manual setup each time?) Your INbox page - and planner generally looks so PRETTY in OneNote. I use Notion which is powerful re the numerous flexible views, but not quite so pretty re backgrounds (I believe) - but like you and OneNote, it's my entire notes, planning & brain dump tool :)
I know there are a lot of people like myself who have been using OneNote for years, but have recently started adding some Notion into their planner mix. Notion is great with database information storage. I don’t see a reason that you could not use both. I see your point about the template, but honestly I enjoy creating the page each month, it allows me to tweak my process as I go. Or if I am really pushed for time, I jut start with a blank one and build it as I go. Thank you for your compliment on my planner. Making it pretty help motivate me to use it and stay on top of things. Thank you for watching.
Thank you for the concrete examples you always give! I'm such a visual learner. So happy to have stumbled upon your channel.
Thanks for your kind words. I'm a visual learner as well. 🥰

I love your suggestions! Really helping me get organized in 2024!
That is awesome! Thanks for letting me know this is helpful. 😊🥰
