How do you decide what becomes a new notebook, versus a tab versus a page? I want to incorporate one note but I am struggling how to set it up for the long term’

If you watch the video on crearing a book journal, I discuss the answer to you question in detail. One of the best things about OneNote is that you can always move and reorganize your notebooks. I recommend you start with one personal notebook with sections for your life areas of interest (travel, girl scouts, school, medical, recipes) then as each section gets a high number of pages, you create another notebook for that subject and simply move everything relevant over. The search feature is also great if you have items in various sections or notebooks. Good luck in your journey and let me know if you have any other questions.
