I for real don't know how you don't have millions of subscribers with absolute masterpieces like this. Looking forward to next Sunday and keep up the work Scotty!
Dude those bows had ninja genes with how they slipped off the hooks lmao. One of the more technical fishing set of videos I’ve seen in your content, between the trout mini golf and then this video, that was some really awesome casting dude. Pretty much watched all your videos and seeing how your skills have evolved for every different scenario is really sick dude. Not even to mention how amazing the filming is. You’re super talented Scotty and definitely my favorite channel to watch. Shout out to Trent for some awesome fishing himself, and letting us see a different view of adventure….. Keep it up brutha.
I live about half a mile from the bridge y'all posted up by 8 mins into the video. Pulled monster rainbows out of that creek my entire life. Best trout spot in the entire state in my opinion, I'm glad Spring Creek is finally getting the recognition it deserves but you really gotta know the spots. Those fish bite on the weirdest bait.
These videos are incredible. Everything from the storytelling, shots, sound design, it's all perfect. Every video you put out just blows me away. Keep up the great work, I'll be looking forward to all the future videos
Thanks for the great footage on our home waters. Jay had a great suggestion of holding your rod high vs the tendency of jamming the reel seat into your chest. Holding the rod high and using your wrist/forearm for leverage essentially extends the rod length and your ability to react to pressure rather than relying on the tip and mid/section only. Brent landed far more with a long arm vs. rod only. Plus minimizing slack line will aid in hook sets. Thanks again!
I know it’s picky, but those strike indicators were designed to be used a different way. Bend or fold the leader, feed bend through the hole on the white end, then insert the pin to stop the line from coming back out from the colored end. This allows the white side to always face down, which mimics a bright sky. + colored side is always up. + the pin will point to where your drift is allowing you to fish more accurately. + you can remove or add the indicator without having to retie a thing
Dude these videos have inspired me to get into fly fishing after just being a casual spin fisherman for years! I now have started working on my casting and I'm going on my first trip to catch wild browns! My ultimate goal is to go to the US and do this!
Using more side to side pressure would likely increase your landing fish. Also using barbless hooks will give you a better purchase. Wetting your hands before handling the fish will help to preserve them. Thanks for the video. Ron
I live in the Bay Area of California, you guys are floating through some pristine land in this video, almost priceless land. Looks like Mt Shasta in the background…love everything you guys do…
Yeah! We met Trenton up in downieville last year when we rode/hiked up to the fire lookout. Great to see his plane in action. Super killer stuff! Fall River is the best. I go every year for a golf tournament and fishing. It’s always a highlight of my year! Killer video!🤘🏻
Hey Scottie, what a great chronicle! What an awesome time, great job to Trent and everybody involved, thanks and appreciate all the hard work! It takes a lot!….Bruce
Gotta love a good ass kicking! If it were easy we wouldn't be fly fishing. It's the fight for the win that makes it fun. Nice way to wrap up a great series my man!
I grew up in Klamath Falls, OR which isn’t too far from where this was filmed, my dad goes up there a lot and enjoys the beauty of the area. The spring head is an amazing place to visit since it’s so clear you can see the bottom and it’s like floating in air, sort of an eerie feeling. There’s another nice clear spring up near Chiloquin, OR but can’t bring in any gas powered boats.
Wonderful video about a great fishery. I can't wait to get schooled by those rainbows in 2 weeks! It was good to watch you experience Fall River for the first time. I have recreated in Fall River Mills many times. But only to play golf on that wonderful (my personal favorite) course designed by Clark Glasson. I can't wait to FINALLY fish there!
Amazing video as always. Perserverence pays off Scotty! What a spot too, unreal man. Great work boys. What a wrap to this series. Congrats to the contest winner!
Great video you were on my home waters spent most if my life fly fishing that water this valley is one of the most beautiful places on earth in my mind
Was just up in that area fishing another famous spring creek. Without a boat I couldn’t fish the one you are on due to lack of access, but there is always next year.
Knocked it out of the park on this one! Love the collaboration, been watching both of you for years, so fun! I knew when Trent got into FF’n it would turn into something coolio! You need to come chase sea run cutthroat in the salt out in Puget Sound w/ me! Cheers!
I'm pretty familiar with this river and it's a tough fishery. I love the spot where the spring comes into the lake. The Callibaetis hatch is pretty off the hook for the big fish. Well done.
Mannn! Just an hour east from where I was born and raised with my family owning over 400 acres of farm land on that river. I still go over to fish & visit every other weekend, woulda been awesome to meet y’all. If y’all head our way again, holler at me and I can get y’all a ranch home to stay on the river while visiting. Love the videos 🤘🏼
Great video fellas, I live in wasilla and have a spot not many people know or fish, pulling beautiful 20 inch plus rainbows every time I go, hit me up when you guys are in town I’ll take you guys out! Keep up the great work love the videos 🤙
I've always heard keep the rod tip below 10 or 2 o clock when setting the hook and fighting fish with the fly rod....not straight up. Believe I heard that from Lefty Kreh and its always worked well for me
Just stummbled accros your channel a week or so ago. AmazingI !! I grew up with a fly rod in my hand since I was 5. Fishing the Sierra's , tubing crowley, fishin the upper owens, hot creek, east waker and many more hidden streams along with excellent streamer fishing in my lakes. Fishing the swan river late next month in Montana. If you have time, what flies should i bring? Keep up the the great vide0s
Please disregard any comments replying “you won” something. It’s some spam bot that’s not us. Sorry for the mix up folks ✌🏻
Bouta time! What else am I suppose to do midday on a Sunday besides watch a new wild fly video?!?!
Appreciate you!
I found it on 4th of July while my ribs are smoking, and it’s in my home state…
@@WildFlyProductionswhat green rod is that ?

Thanks a ton my man! We're just stoked anyone watches in the first place. Cheers.
Again dropping as soon as I'm home from work, nothing better. Love from Northern Ireland brother.
Love how you’re showing the side of fly fishing a lot of videos don’t. Watching the struggle to land those fish is very relatable😂

Can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to these. Awesome film.
This makes me want to start fishing 🎣
That tiny creek in the desert was awesome
Wow. Great video and Trent Palmer too. Coolness. Sharing with my best fishing buddy.
