Lethal Company is one of those games that you almost HAVE to not take seriously when playing with friends. Messing with them is too good an opportunity to pass up

the primal fear of coming back knowing that you’re gonna be yeeted for not meeting the quota is also something, this game does fear too well, it really makes rng into something that is enjoyable and has replay value
me and my friends play seriously but it's still hilarious
yep, ended up getting a mod that allows you to push people, and proceeded to push one of the friends i was playing with into a room full of spider webs and closed the door on them, they died like 25 seconds later because the spider was below the room and had to go up to it, but it was hilarious to the rest of us, especially since all four of us had seen the webs but that friend was the first to open the door
Still better than most jobs nowadays

I mean… it is called LETHAL company. Some death is expected.
Saddest part is that is actually true IRL. Employee safety used to be extremely bad in most industries, which caused a lot of deadly accidents. Some companies went out of their way to fix these issues themselves, but you can bet your ass more of them wouldn't have done a thing if they weren't forced.
The worst part isn't being bad at the game, it's that being good at the game but your luck just generally sucks.

Played the game for the first time last night with a friend. I got ghost girl first game, and the next 5 moons (or whatever, maps) we played we got the neck snapper from behind. Granted we only got wiped once but still, she couldn't stop telling me how unbelievably bad my luck is with monster spawns

Having friends in *Lethal Company* is a definite must have in order to have tons of fun (Being Alone feels scary at first, it becomes boring after awhile with nobody around)

@@atomic747 I mean, unless you've been living under a mountain then amazing quality games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Street Fighter 6, Armoured Core 6, Hi-Fi Rush, Spider-Man 2, Pikmin 4, Final Fantasy XVI, Lies of P, Dead Space Remake, Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG Remake and our Lord and Saviour, Pizza Tower, have also came out this year.
There's likely many more I'm missing, best gaming year since 2017 easily, arguably better!

2017 had its fair share of stinkers too and I don't see anybody talking about those anymore, us gamers mostly remember the good stuff. 2023 will be the same.
Nobodys bad or good at lethal Company, the game merely decides whether you live, or die.
I mean there is people who get unfairly eaten by the bug you can't avoid without a shovel, and there are darwin award nominees like that guy that kills himself trying to skip the stairs.

But once the game spawns any other creature while the coil guy is on your view you better be near the exit or you're dead.
The game truly does just decide who lives and dies. But this somehow makes the game so much more entertaining.
I love how punishing yet funny death is in this game. You'll lose gear, loot, whatever you had, but with the trade off witnessing your friends go through the same thing

The way this game fits gut busting humor and top-tier horror is amazing
From watching streamers, I've discovered the most common source of death is just... putting way too much trust in your team mates. A coilhead will show up and someone will be like "I'm watching him, I'm watching him, go go go!" Next thing you know, you hear a cracking sound and really aggressive footsteps.
i just hope this game keeps on getting atention just for it to be expanded more. it deserves the time that people are putting in to it and the community is just too damm good

Ted being dead to the bees at the ship had to be one of the funniest f*cking things I’ve ever seen
I spent a few days as the Computer Guy until I learned enough of the game to pick up a shovel and walk into the facility (turns out a lot of threats are ankle biters and killable!).
Confidently strolled through the Fire Exit door and got immediately turned into swiss cheese by a turret that was camping the door. 👍
"Spoilers" Ahead
So supposedly the thing inside the company building is a trapped monster that you have to keep fed so it doesn't go crazy. This means it can eat literally anything, including you. Guys, that's literally Shrimp from Upturned.
"This is the final day to make the quota so no more messing around" The most stressful words I have ever uttered in a game. And I've had to utter them many times.

I gotta say, it’s sometimes hard to tell if the boss is around since the little sliding door is in the way with the scraps we bring him but non the less 100 quota stare
When it opens you can hear it so if you cant see it you just listen out (that depends whether your friends can shut for 5 seconds though)

love this game already, it has a lot of potential so im hoping they add new monsters and more tools to counter them. Would love a skinwalker monster that looks like one of your friends, but doesnt talk, leading to your slow realization.
I'm really hoping for a mimic. It stays sneaky and just replays clips of sound and audio from nearby.

Basically, making fun of how mediocre big budget Hollywood films are nowadays compared to movies with lower budgets like Five Nights at Freddy’s (in my opinion) and Godzilla Minus One.
