- The students of the Chicago School of Rock "Victim of Changes" by Judas Priest performing at their tribute to the music of 1976. Many thanks to Asim Ali and 1st Ward for the excellent board feed!
Vocals: Celia Porter
Guitar: Judah Sweig
Guitar: Madison Seda
Bass: Mac Campbell
Drums: Oliver Hamand
Very cool! Scott Ian of Anthrax shared this on his Facebook!
What's wrong Thor? Did you try out for the band and they rejected you? hahaha You fuckin' loser!
Oh, my bad. Sorry bro!
I shared it too 😎
O.M.G.!!!WOW !! Excellent that little girl tears it up! They all do!
Are there any other vids of her? What's she singing now?
The proud moment when your little daughter sings Victim of Changes in front of a crowd, nothing tops it
Your daughter??
FYI she's not my daughter. I can imagine for the father
True man. I am not her father but i am really proud of her.
Better than the original
She has an awesome voice. I’m proud of all of them👍👍👍😃😃😃😃😃😃
The girl smiling while she sings is everything. 👍👍
Exactly friend
She, too, will soon be a victim of changes
She enjoy it
Girl on guitar can flat out play too….

its great to see parents raising their kids properly
Dennis the menace she’s raising herself, her parents are lucky to have her in their lives.
Dennis the menace 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Well Said 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wonder if the lazy parents who blamed JP for their children's suicides have seen this. "Oh, no, a little girl is singing a song about whiskey! Call the the thought police, call the lawyers!"
🤣😉
Love much love
That little girl was probably the only person in the school they could get to actually handle Rob Halfords vocal range lol
She's good, but she has to sing in falsetto to hit those high notes, whereas Halford is using his real voice.
Even still...no one is Rob.. lol 😎 she's good though.. Best cover ever
@@rozozzy oh no doubt!! Trust me comment was meant to be a compliment
And that's a tough task.
Halfords voice is INSANE 🤘
@@shannonmichelelawson8706 dam right!!
Tiny girl singing Judas Priest is like the best thing that's ever happened.
Agreed!!!!!!
Right
Cool thing about her singing a song like that is when she plays that for her kids one day and blows their mind and the legacy will continue. Was in middle school when saw them on the Turbo Lover tour and twice since then. I will be that 70 year old guy with this cranked up on my scooter 😂
@@chrismigl27 and I'll be right beside you!
I'm in tears after less than a minute.
I'm 57 years old and grew up on Judas Priest. These young talented kids had me from the beginning of the song to the end! Way to honor Judas Priest and Yourselves, awesome performance!
I am 47 years old and agree with everything you said they rocked this song 🤘
I a 53 year old and join to you,agree with you 100%
Linda la princesa jejeje solo rock diosa majica con vos de princesa rockeando
I thought it sounded better than all the priests live albums. And I loved the little smile on her face .... and thank christ she didn't dress like Halford !
@Capri13 D'amico no lo puedo creer que tremendo cover y estos niños maravillosos, realmente me emociona. Saludos de Chile
Let’s not forget the rhythm guitarist who did a damn good job at keeping the momentum up as well . She nailed it
It would be fun to get an update on her and the rest of them as to where/what they are doing and how far they have progressed to!
Speaking as a drummer myself, that lad behind the drum kit is bloody excellent
Fully agree
Yes I agree. Hope he goes far with it.
@@davidklein1903 pretty damn cool.
He still needs to work on timekeeping but yeah, he has the energy.
The vocalist and lead guitarist were the stars....but the drummer was clearly the band leader. Great situation awareness to keep track of where everyone was at and kept the song tight, without letting any ego in the way. Many drummers in professional bands could learn from his conduct!!!
This is a perfect example of why the music of my childhood will never be forgotten. I was their age when I first heard this song. I’m now in the 6th decade of my life cycle. I absolutely love this. (July 11, 2024) ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was my first metal i cut my teeth on. So good to see young people keeping the faith and DEFENDING THE FAITH!
This is the way!
lol… I cut my metal teeth on “Defenders of the Faith”
I'll always love this old Judas Priest. It was so unique and so good! I can't believe such young kids are playing this old, obscure song! I didn't think anyone listened to this song but me.
When a really young girl needs to use falsetto to hit all of Rob's higher notes that he hit with full vocal authority, that tells you something about Mr Halford. Keep up the great work CSR!!
Yeah, I was about to say that even that little girl was somewhat struggling to hit those high notes.
Awesome!
yeah rob could hit high notes all day!!
She's a good singer but ROB HALFORD, man.
The list of people who can credibly match Halford is very, very short.
Without a doubt no one can do it like Rob Halford
What a sweetheart...Any young kids playing Judas Priest shows these kids are alright a million thumbs up
Hell yes!
Blake Lynn
She's a doll. I wonder if even her parents were born when "Victim..." was written..
The guitarist's mom posted on this thread that he had, in fact, been listening to Priest since *before* he was born! She had seen them while pregnant with him. She also said: _"I took him him out of school, drove five hours and got front row tickets to see the Priest Epitaph Tour for his 11th birthday. This song is a dream come true for me to hear him play. These kids are awesome."_
MidWest Concert Video
Nice :))
It would be really cool if Halford would do a show with a School of Rock. It happens all the time - they call them "Guest Professors". Alice Cooper has done several, as have Jon Anderson of Yes, guitarist Earl Slick, Dweezil Zappa, Brad Wilk of Rage Against The Machine. *Halford* guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak has been doing week long "Mayhem in the Mountains" metal guitar camps with School of Rock since 2012.
Over 5 mins in I realized I had a smile on my face the entire time...
Isnt that the damn truth.
I was exactly the same.

Me too
Just as me
I`m totally gobsmacked how these kids managed to reproduce this!
For all Priest fans, "Victim Of Changes" is the start of it all coming together & is the song you want to hear every single time you see them live.!
Absolutely incredible stuff & a reminder that kids are actually "Defenders Of The Faith" 🤘🤘🤘
This a beautiful thing the way the current generation appreciates the music of my youth.
Seeing kids appreciate the music gave me goosebumps :)

I hear ya
That just restored my faith in humanity a little bit.
don't worry man, no matter how much the present day generation listens to and follows the dumb music and culture, there will always be some kid somewhere listening to and playing rock/metal.
Born in 1989, I heard Crazy Train by Ozzy and have been a metal head ever since. The right song can change a person's life forever, the best music was written before 1990.
Indeed! Another great rock band comes to mind .. “The Warning” band.

Abhimitra Karreddula I’m 26 and love Judas Priest and old bands like that
H U M A N I T Y R E S T O R E D
Her voice actually gave me chills from sounding so damn good. I wonder if Rob Halford has ever heard these kids. I think he would be thoroughly impressed if he did.
Her voice doesn't impress me... The high notes are "head voice", they don't have real power behind, they have no real depth.
@@ctr289 She's a little girl ! What's wrong with you ? For her age she sounds fine !
@@Vetriot6971 It sounds good for her age, but the people who I replied to said it gave them chills, which I find strange... If this gives you chills, Halford's voice should kill you instantaneously
@@ctr289 she's become a dramatically better singer of late. Think she is 16 or 17 now.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This album, Sad Wings of Destiny was released on March 26th 1976. I discovered it some time around ‘78, ‘79 and now I’m watching kids keeping the origins of heavy metal alive. Don’t believe what mainstream pop music tells you. Rock and Roll is alive and well thanks to the kids. We’ll done!!
One of the best songs of Judas Priest.
Rob Halford and the rest of the band would be proud i think.
very nice :)
agreed, one of my favorites! \m/
I agree 💯 very nice 👍
Best album too. When it first came out, I used the album cover ( the angel in hell), on my business cards. Rocka Rolla is also a brilliant album, with stained class as runner up !
@@waynebow-gu7wr I agree 100% on your opinion of best priest albums.
LOVE this. Judas Priest would be proud!
Yes! not only the young girl had a good voice she was smart enough to add effects to her vocals so she would not blow her voice out very smart the whole band very talented. I have been a music teacher and I loved working with young prodigies
We had an excellent sound engineer on this show.
You had an excellent video editor too!
Thank you.
JUDAS PRIEST IS A GROUP NOT A MAN...
This is real music! So glad that these kids are being exposed to this kind of culture. And they're all so skilled.
Oh my god!!! what the hell was I doing when I was her age??? oh yeah listening to Judas Priest....Great cover!!!!
🎶🎙️🎸🥁🎶🎶🎶🥁🎸🎶🎶🎶🎙️🎶🎶🎶
I was listening to Slade ( and the partridge family)
Trying not to have one
I'm impressed by all members, especially that girl singing her heart out and having fun doing it 👍🎸🥁
Celia Porter. You need to check out some of the stuff she is doing lately, sounds great.
I’ve seen this cover version 50 times and I still am amazed how great it is. They capture it totally
Everytime YT recommends it I watch.
What in the world! This is unbelievable! This young Lady taking on a very difficult song. She totally slays it! It just blew my mind.:If only Rob and the band could see this. A true performance. They were awesome! Thank you for this!! ❤️🔥
I tagged him on a FB post. Hopefully he'll repost it.
I played guitar since 7 years old. This is a complicated song in a difficult key. The teacher is very intelligent
I know "Metal" Mike has done summer camps with some of the kids from the Chicago School of Rock, so I would hope one of them steered him towards this video.
I'm in tears. I'm actually in tears. I was so disappointed to learn recently that kids don't even know who Black Sabbath are anymore, and I was giving up hope for the future. But not only do these kids (at the time) know who Judas Priest is, they're actually covering them in concert ... AND doing it very f****** well!
I'm so excited. I'm so happy and thankful that this happened. They did so well!! Note for note!! 😭 😭
Any kid who has been in school of rock more than a year has very likely played a Black Sabbath song. Not played it on their phone, played it on a guitar, bass, drum kit or sang it.
I've got at least 35 different Sabbath covers on my channel.
ruclips.net/video/NHt9RXL_oUI/видео.html
I'm also in tears. They sound fantastic.
💯 this is fucking mind blowingly good
Awesome. This song came out 30 plus years before any of them were born. They are being raised proper!!!
Try 44 years ago...
Eric so, I guess his 30+ years BEFORE THEY WERE BORN was correct then huh?.......what a troll....lmao....smh
Absolutely yeeh, a proper raising is rare these days, especially ta you LEGENDS like these 🔥🔥🔥 #irishapproved
Just the fact that they know and respect this song makes this an incredible performance. It doesn't hurt that they sound great, too! Hooray for the teachers, and hooray for parents that let their kids live out their dreams.
Educated kids . They know thier history. Well done.
I've been a Judas Priest fan for over 35 years and this is one of my favorite songs ever. I wasn't expecting much going into this but after watching you guys play here's my feedback.
OMG! You tore it apart. The lead guitarist! Mad props to you man! You do Glenn proud.
The singer, Amazing! A natural, really!! There's a lot of bands out there with a young girl singer that is great but they go overboard (or underboard.) Your singer just sounds amazing by just being herself. She doesn't TRY to BE like Rob Halford. She's easy going and natural and sounds great! The rest of the band was perfect! Drums, rhythm. bass. I DID NOTICE the lead guitarist take some liberties with the solo but it wasn't bad. By the time you were that far into the song, I was sold and I into the story and essence of the song as a listener. I was never distracted once by your band's rendition of this song (which I grew up on and have heard hundreds of times). In fact, if anything, I was moved by your energy into the song. You're all awesome and true Defenders of the Faith. The highest award given to Metal Gods as yourself. I'm subscribing to you and looking forward to more amazing things from you in the future!!!
Thank you, on their behalf.
I'm 55. Grew up on this. These young people make me cry with respect...
I bet this gives Rob Halford a smile.
And Al Atkins, too!
And Ripper Owens
Yes
"You think you can pull-off that scream, hehe". Joke aside, admirable, I'm sure Rob's proud if he heard/saw it!
No doubt
As a fan of Judas Priest, it's amazing how little girls cover their early songs. ^^
These are the children of the Heavy Metal Gods.
Celia Porter your voice was made for singing that song trust me!!!
Chicago School of Rock! All of you need to be in front of 200,000 people!!
Rockin their world! I know you can because you just ROCKED mine!!! HOLY *$%@%
The mix on the singer's voice is so good. It really brings out how powerful her voice is. What a great job by the entire band!
The mix IS killer. They sound amazing.
@@todddavis4274 The sound engineer at this venue, Asim Ali, was exceptional.
that girl keeps singing stuff like that at her age she's gonna be one bad ass
new generation doing justice to a metal masterpiece. great job!.
Ovations.
That was a lot more ambitious than common music school performances.
The piece is so well written that it makes the spine vibrate every time.
As a metalhead from the 80's this awesome, fantastic performance!!! The Priest would be proud!! Hope the band see's this and you all can meet them in person!!
Greg û
her voice is so calm and powerful at the same time, so cool!
Celia is a natural performer, and has been doing School of Rock since she was 7.
I thought that to the easiest song the cover for kids leaning. Love it.
Not the easiest.
Many children have a "double" voice as children, but then it grows and changes a lot.
Get this girl a contract and a label. she's going places I tell you!
😂
Absolutely perfect cover I'm sure Rob has watched this and smiled with his horn's in the air
Such great young talent! As a massive Priest fan, I find this cover amazing!!
agreed!
The girl on guitar is killing it
A little girl singing one of my favs all the times from Judas is just wonderful.
The 200+ people who thumbs down this video are fools who have never played in front of an audience. If by chance a few of them have, well...shame on them. These kids did a great job with a song that most world class bands would have found to be a challenge, if not impossible.
Rihana fansby sure, what do you expect!!!!
It took courage to do this Judas Priest classic.
Makes my day every time I watch this...she does an amazing job singing this very challenging song, and she is obviously having fun, too! The others are doing great, too! So cool they chose this 70s emotionally charged song!
That look on her face when she nails that high note is priceless❤
My thoughts exactly very difficult song and they are amazing to pull that off 🤘
one of the best ensembles: instruments in tune, vocals on key - Celia Porter is going to be famous
thank you!
That little girl has the sweetest voice Ive ever heard !!!! Made me cry!
Holy crap ! Fantastic job! Coming from a guy who has seen priest live several times in the 80's. So nice to see students picking a classic tune....well done!
The guitarist's mom posted in this thread that he's been listening to Priest since before he was born - that she saw them while he was in her womb. Start 'em young!
radical bruh. LOL!!
That little girl having a absolute blast is rock and roll personified.
I was having a bad day, stomping all over the place, but sat down to watch this. I immediately forgot about my bad day. Celia is so fantastic, all the kids are, I love hearing songs and bands I grew up listening too, Great Job!!!!
The young man on guitar literally was raised on Judas Priest. His mother saw them while he was still in her womb, and his 11th birthday present was front row tickets.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 I read a little about Midwest concert video, I think its fantastic what you do, and that you know some back story on these young artists. In fact send me some info where to donate some money to your organization because I think its that fantastic

Hahaha I'm dead
This is awesome. The younger generation keeping great music alive and taking the time to learn how to play their instruments. Just awesome!
I come back to this video from time to time. These kids are tallented. The singer and the girl guitar player well of them for that meter. I hope some of these kids went on to do music later on in life....
My favorite Judas Priest song well played by those kids, congrats!
Mankind can still be saved. I love this.
are you kidding me i am 57yrs old you can guess my life style brought up hard core this is WOW
That singer was the only person I have ever seen that could sing that song and do it justice. Excellent job for the band all around. I cant wait to hear them in the future in their various bands they will inevitably join.
What the heck do you mean? she's a girl, of course she can reach those notes.
Also, her falsetto is fing weak.
You mad bro?
7munkee yes because she did NOT do halford justice.
She is like 12 and not a pro yet. Christ your a hard ass.
If I had been in the audience for this, and not known it was coming, I would have went absolutely nuts! They probably would have had to cart me away!
that girl on vocals IS A SIREN.......how ADORABLE is she seriously ?????? and so in control of that powerful voice xoxoxo
Thank god kids are still playing good rock..
Thank you! After viewing this, I have faith in the younger generation once again. Long live Judas Priest.
a rock school should be mandatory in every country in the world! 🎸🤘
Absolutely! 🙏🏼😁
Faith in the new generation of kids is restored. Glad to see kids rocking to this (I was when I was in high school (1978-81) ands still do). The singer did a great job emulating Rob Halford's vocals. Who would of guessed a little girl packed so much vocal power! :) Guitarists did a great job too. You guys (meaning everyone including the gals) rock!!!
That was excellent. One of my all time favorite Judas Priest songs!!!
One day a singer will come on the show, The Voice, and belt out Victim of Changes....I don't think the judges would know what to do........
This was fantastic! I used to jam to this album as a teenager. Huge influence on me.
My high schools band wasn't a patch on these guys , well done !! And this is from a Judas Priest fan.
From an old Metal Head, you guys are F**king AWESOME!!!!
This rocks! Can't stop watching it.
so good to see young people not just into great music, but absolutely smashing covering it
This little girl 👧 has a amazing voice & attitude to go with it !
Her singing is so fantastic & I hope Rob Halford has seen this !
I hope so too! I know that "Metal" Mike of Halford knows some of their Chicago School of Rock peers.
Kudos to the girl for attempting Rob Halford's vocals. Considering the original, it was very ambitious. Excellent effort! Cheers!
There was no weak link in this line up. This gives an appreciation to the range of Rob Halford s" voice. It took a young female youth , to nail it. She definitely did her home work!
She's gotta learn not to hold back in the falsetto range, though. Those high notes have to be belted to the rafters. But big thumbs up for reaching back to Sad Wings of Destiny for a Priest cover.
All I can say is this kid has the amazing ability to take us back to the past; which was amazing like her! I love listening to this!!!!!!!
I had a most shitty day and seeing this brought a Metalheaded smile to my angry face. Metal Till Death kids! \m/
Always important to teach our children the classics.
how many times can I listen to this with a great smile?
what a sweet hauntingly beautiful voice!!
Awesome! Those few idiots who have given this a thumbs down are either deaf or just... idiots. GREAT work!

They will all go under deadly wheels
Uh. Yeah. They're idiots. HTF do you make it a point to thumbs down kids who are working this hard and this well? Beautiful jobs, all.
To hell with the haters of these kids, they're amazing
AMAZING! Best cover of this song.
Stark no they’re not deaf, just complete idiots!
Great work young people. So great to see youngsters playing these roots of Metal songs keeping them alive. This to me was one of the heaviest song ever to me. when it came out I was a teenager.
This totally blew me away man! I remember when this first came out and it has been with me through my whole life. The radio would not even play this music when it came out because it was too hard for the radio. This was absolutely beautiful to see this kids doing it. She pulled off a brave attempt at Rob Halford a great Opera singer.
this was incredibly amazing.. what a talented group of kids... so amazing the drummer and guitarist and the young girl singing im so impressed .. great to see kids even younger than myself who know real music
Read through the comments... The guitarist was literally raised on Judas Priest - his Mom saw them while he was still in her womb. He got front row tickets for his 11th birthday.
JUST AWESOME,FANTASTIC
She is awesome..l hope Rob has heard this tribute....
You made an old Priestess proud! Great work!
I am so happy that the band played their hearts out for a girl half their age... And if course she nailed it
By seeing videos like this, I think that this world has hope.
They say rock is dead ....bullshit
