I’ve had the Oh Snap Wallet for about a week. My honest opinion. I like it as it works for me and my preferences. What I like is that I can customize it to how I want. I can attach it to the back of my phone or carry it at a slim stand alone wallet. Its well built but very thin. Definitely feels thinner than a Ridge Wallet. I can carry 5 flat cards, 4 flat cards and 1 with raised numbers or 3 cards with raised numbers. If I want to carry more than that, I can double stack the wallet and carry twice as much, but certainly would be too big and heavy to attach to the back of my phone. Room for improvement: for as thin as the actual wallet is, it’s a little heavy. I can really feel the weight when I have it attached to my iPhone 13 mini. The carbon fiber cover is nice out the box but I realize the gloss layer scratches easily and is a finger print magnet. I would prefer a matte finish instead of gloss on carbon fiber, but its not a deal breaker. I have the titanium cover as well it works just fine. I have the ID cover as well and attach it to my wallet when my wallet is not attached to my phone. I did not think I would like the ID cover as much as I do. I love how the wallet locks into the phone mount. Much more secure than other magsafe type wallets. What I think they could do better? The pricing. The ID card holder which holds one card is $35. One carbon fiber or titanium cover is $46. For just two titanium covers to cover the front and back of the wallet ($82) that’s almost the cost of a Ridge Titanium wallet. The Snapwallet Phone Mount ($9.99) stayed fastened to my cellphone case for about a week and came off. I used Gorilla Glue to re-attach it to the back of my cell phone case and its solid. Keeping it in perspective, the Oh Snap Wallet is cheaper than a Louis Vuitton cardholder wallet or other premium minimalist wallets. I love mine, but its not for everyone.
I really like how the wallet looks with the ID holder attachment, a single card hold and the band attachment. Too bad the lever is a bit funky, if they had a better way to fan out the cards, I'd definitely get this one.
I also got this wallet and so far I love it. The only thing I wish was some key holder module. The best overall king in my opinion is still the Aviator Wallet.
I am a big fan of Oh Snap. I can't say that this wallet option will be best for me, but I've been using their phone grips for years and love them. I love the ingenuity in their products and it really feels like they listen to their customers and make design updates based on that feedback. I hope this wallet succeeds and they come back even stronger next time. Another great review!
This was so helpful, thank you!! Not only helpful but enjoyable and relaxing for me...don't totally know why, haha. So, now I'm here (as a person who has never really put thought into wallets) and have spent an hour so far on your pages today with no end in sight haha
I've had the wallet since December 5th and today the plastic lever broke on me... My cards stuck out barely enough for me to pry them out, about 1/4 inch and it was pretty difficult to remove them. I wanted to like it but this did not even last me 2 weeks. Hoping Ohsnap will reimburse me as I bought a cover plate and an ID module...
I am a backer waiting a second time for mine to arrive as the first card module was effectivly broke when it came to me.... first time around was a 6 month wait from original launch date.
I am using an Ekster Carbon Fiber card wallet right now and really like it. I used a 35% off and ordered a Card Wallet (carbon fiber) with a bundled 4 modules (including the knife) and an extra cash band model so I can mimic the function of my Ekster as closely as possible. Can’t wait to get mine next month and put it against my Ekster.
I've had 3 Ekster wallets, two of which are the carbon fiber. I recently moved to the Oh Snap wallet with 2 card modules, the ID card module, and the carbon fiber cover. My complaint about Ekster is the elastic band. That needs to be a standalone purchase. I shouldn't have to buy a new wallet to get a new band, as they lose elasticity in a pretty short amount of time. I really like the Oh Snap but it is pricey.
Great review as always! I was wondering if that Lost Dutchman Mini Franklin review was still coming at some point? I'm trying to decide which one to get between the mini Franklin and the Benjamin Bott Double Wren.
@@tony_bologna that's awesome! Is there any cause for concern that a card in the quick access slot will fall out? I'm thinking I'm going to go with the Mini Franklin just cause it's less than half the price of the Double Wren.
I don’t like that the ID module would require digging at it to get it out, like it’s no problem if you only have d to present the ID since it would be plain as day to see/read, but if you have to hand it over for certain purposes like DMV or a driving based job, that would be extremely annoying.

Love the informative wallet vids thanks for taking the time to do them. I would like to know how durable the lever mechanism is since many reviews have mentioned it broke.
They discontinued the wallet. It was a great wallet. The best wallet I’ve ever owned. I recently just lost mine unfortunately and they don’t make them anymore 😢
I'm surprised you didn't mention the COUNTLESS number of people on their Kickstarter who say their levers snapped off and their bands have torn in half. OhSnap has been accused of shoddy quality control and terrible customer service on all of their products and the MagSnap Wallet is no exception.
Based on communication I was in the first tranche to receive it and then did my review, so that’s why I missed those comments coming in. But yes, the lever is fiddly and doesn’t surprise me.
Diggin’ your Omega Speedy! Nice wallet; unfortunately just way too expensive and seems a bit tedious to use. I assume if I drop that at pocket height it’ll all come apart once it hits the concrete?
I've got two of the card mods so I tested it, after 5 drops nothing fell out, but on the 6th, it hit the corner just right and the cards spilled, but the mod stayed together.
I have the bellroy apex slim sleeve and the rossm. I'm considering this and the bellroy flip case second edition. Maybe carry 7 cards and no bills, maybe a few business cards. Recommend?
It looks like a very expensive gimmick, Mark! You gave it 3 for usability, yet you have to hold it in a very particular way so as not to squeeze the very thin sides against the cards! The fact you have to get used to holding it in a special way means it's not that easy to use. The cost is absolutely prohibitive, I believe. Oh dear, the first wallet I actually dislike in the entire history of Walletopia! But hey, the review was spot on as always, perhaps a little too kind.
I've been thinking about getting a new wallet and thanks to you this might be my next purchase, once the backorders are sorted lol. Let's see how much P&P will cost to the UK.
What’s weird is when you watch the ad they put out on it, @2:14, they show person opening from left top and the cards come out with the most forward card being the lowest.
I like the idea but instead of a side loader it should've been a top loader like the Ekster wallets, that would eliminate the issue with gripping the wallet will trying to get the cards out. Only other issue with the pricing.. they want $30 for a cash plate? No bueno.
I’ve been been using a simple one pocket leather card wallet and carbon fiber money clip for years. Neither is showing any wear yet. Both together take minimal pocket space. I can carry over 20 bills, folded in half, in the money clip, or as few as two securely. Very easy to find the card I want in the card case without removing any other cards too. My point being, K.I.S.S. Simple and inexpensive is sometimes the best.
No, the magnets are placed perfectly and the way the wallet functions, no cards come in contact with the wallet. The magnets are also very small. You'd have to purposely rub you card around on it to maybe have an affect

How does it compare to the ridge wallet (size wise) it looks similar in size but with two card stacks it looks thicker? Honestly ridge was slightly too thick for me. Also can you use the card module without cover plates?
One thing ive always been curious about for these types of wallets, that always make me worried to buy them. What happens if you just put one or two cards in them? Do they stay in? Do they raddle? Does the lever still fan out the cards?
