Excellent explanation on dermarolling. I use the .5 also. I use mine once a week. Love it.......It totally makes a HUGE difference, and its cheaper than getting it done in the Derm's office. You go girl! KUDOS! Loved the video.
+Sharon Capehart Thank you Sharon! You have absolutely gorgeous skin so I love hearing what you use. Good to know you love the dermaroller too and I agree, it does make a difference. I might have to try it once a week. Lots of love--Anne
You did such a wonderful job of explaining everything, Anne. Your lovely skin is really a testament of the great care you take of it. You look gorgeous! xxxxx, Melissa
I couldn't agree more! Anne-Marie, I'm fairly new to your channel and this is my first comment. You did an excellent job of explaining everything I've ever wanted to know about derma-rollers. Thank you so very much and have a fantastic rest of the week! Lisette
+Lisette Trela Hi Lisette! Welcome to my channel, I'm so glad you are here! I hope you enjoy my videos. Thank you so much for watching, I truly appreciate it and hope you have a wonderful week as well. xoxo Anne
I have just begun derma-rolling. I used a .20, and did not break the skin, but after an hour it looked like I had a great facial. Thank you for your advice. It has helped a lot!
What a great explanation of the dermaroller process. Your skin always looks flawless. I am on way to watch your other video on this topic. Thank you for sharing. Debbie
I just found you in my search for ways to reduce frown lines. I have found your videos to be very informative. Going to watch more of course but I am considering getting a dermaroller. Thanks for the videos.
+DWade I hope you love it! The how often question is truly the hardest to get an answer on because there are just so many differing answers out there. I'd love to hear what you think after you use it awhile! xoxo Anne
You are lovely, so glad Nisha sent me over and I found you. I'm purchasing a derma roller as we speak, hoping for good results. I'm watching all your videos 😊Mary Ellen
+mefrn62 Thank you so much Mary Ellen! I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos, that makes my day! I hope you love the results of dermarolling (it does take some time but I've seen some good improvement). I hope you are having a wonderful week! xoxo Anne
Fantastic video Anne! I have been seriously considering buying a dermaroller and incorporating it into my skin care routine. I first became interested after watching your previous video regarding this topic. Thank you so much for providing this information. You seem to have covered the basics and in my opinion have taken the "mystery" out of this particular anti ageing treatement. xo
+Lynn Morris Thank you Lynn! I tried to cover all the bases and glad you found it helpful. It is a great anti-aging device and I would recommend one, I really love mine. I'd love to hear if you end up getting one and what you think! xoxo Anne
Thanks for the great video, I just started using the dermaroller last week, started with my lips and this week using the .25 roller on lips and face. I will gradually go to the .50 on my whole face. Thanks for all the info regarding the dermaroller.
I love the dermaroller! I use it where I want to get rid of wrinkles, lift, produce collagen. It's great. Does take 6-9 months to see results, but I think it's worth it. xoxo
Hi i just started using derma roller 0.5 i used twice in one week but after seeing ur video i will use once in 2 weeks thankyou i am trying to get rid of acne scars
You can do either once a week or once every 2 weeks. I just went with the average when I said once every 2. You don't want to go any more than once a week with the 0.5 as the skin needs time to repair in between rolling. Lots of love xoxo
Anne great video...you are way ahead of me...I have only use it for about 6 months...never thought of doing my hands until I say you mention it in your video...excellent information...Thanks Anne...Hugs Loretta
+MrsLoretta Hi Loretta! Oh you have to do your hands! That's where I have seen my fastest and best results! Dermarolling my hands has really improved them so much I can't even tell you. They looked so much better after just a couple weeks (I would do it every week, sometimes a couple times a week). I hope you have a wonderful day! xoxo Anne
Excellent, informative video, Anne. You were way ahead of the game regarding derma rolling. I'm still just using it on my lips, and appreciate the difference it's made. You look so youthful, and beautiful, my friend. Thank you. Blessings, and love...MaryEllen
+MaryEllen After 60 Hi MaryEllen! I'm so glad you did try the dermaroller and are enjoying it. I think it has made a big improvement to my lips as well. I hope you have a wonderful day! Love you! Anne
Just what I needed! I'm still a newbie at dermarolling and I'm not very consistent, I still have to get into the habit of using it. I have a 0.5 and I'm surprised (and glad) it does more in certain areas than a higher value! Thank you for all the valuable info ♥
+francesca Ⓥ di leandro Hi! I'm so glad you are using the dermaroller. I really love them and have seen some improvement to my skin. It does take time, so be patient. It's nice to have an at home device that really improves the skin. Thanks so much for watching and for the wonderful comment! xoxo Anne
I have been derma rolling for about 3 months, I can really see a difference in the texture of my skin. The first time I did it I thought that maybe it wasn't for me. My face looked and felt like it had razor burn. But in the morning it looked so much better, now I'm hooked. I also use it on the back of my hands, I use a fade cream right after. My age spots are 95% gone, in a couple more weeks I think they will be. I am very happy with the results.
+Joyce Del Prete Hi Joyce! So glad to hear of your great results!!! I agree, I have seen improvement to my skin as well (especially my hands!). Nice that there is a at home device that actually works to improve the skin. Thank you for sharing your results, it's a help for those who are thinking of doing it. xoxo Anne
+BeautyBy Anne-Marie have you used the same needle size since you started or have you moved up? Right now I'm using a .50 but I think I may order a .75 or 1.00 . Is the 1.00 too much of a step up in your opinion? Thanks!
Please let me know if you use the 1. as there is a local store here which sells only that size, I have used none yet but am tempted to buy this one because it is here.
I'm going to have to go watch your other videos on this! My sister just got one and hasn't worked up enough courage to use it yet, but she explained it to me just as you have. I'm going to let her try it first because I'm afraid I'll become a giant bloody mess in the areas I really want to address. Ha! I DO like the idea of ingredients penetrating deeper though. Hope you have a great week!
+Jenifer Jenkins Hi Jenifer! Yes, you should get one! It sounds and looks worse than it is (especially if you start with a smaller needle size). It does take time to see results but is worth it. xoxo Anne
Thanks Anne-Marie! I've always wanted to try a derma roller! So glad you answered the questions I had! You look great and I don't see any wrinkles on your face so I'm all in! I love your videos!!!
+bostongal912 Hi! Thank you so much ;) I'm glad you found the video helpful! I just love the dermaroller....if you give it a try I'd love to hear what you think. I appreciate you watching and for the sweet comment! xoxo Anne
I've been wanting to try dermarolling but there were so many different ones on Amazon that I never ordered one. Thanks to your recommendation about the Timeless skincare dermaroller I ordered one and it was only $9 with free shipping. I can't wait to try it but a little nervous as well. Thank you for the information :)
+Leslie Ford Hi Leslie! I'm so glad you ordered one and are going to try it! It does take some time to see results but is worth it. I'd love to hear what you think after you try it. xoxo Anne
Good Morning Anne! Thanks for another great video. Wow, I must order this product, nothing but benefits from this product! It just makes sense that products will penetrate the skin at a deeper level. Anything anti-aging, and I listen very carefully! I have had good results with Vit. C serum, can't wait to try the dermaroller! Have a great day Anne!
+Wendy Mac Hi Wendy! I think you'd love the dermaroller. It does take some time to see results, but it's worth it. I'm with you and am all about anything that is anti-aging! xoxo Anne
+Jess S Hi Jess! Remembering to use it can be the biggest problem. If you do though I think you'll see some good results. It does take time to see results but it's worth it. xoxo Anne
Thanks to all your dermarolling videos and lots of research by myself, I took the plunge..I just ordered my first dermaroller from skin deva. Thank you for all your information Anne-Marie.
I hope you love it! I have been using a dermaroller for about 8-9 years and really think it has improved my skin and is a great at home anti-aging device! Lots of love xoxo
Anne, I don't even know if you'll see this. I wasn't using YT when this was made, but I did hear about spraying the DR rather than soak it. I bought mine from Skin Deva, also 0.5 in April or May when I realized how my skin was not the same after leaving NY & having been botched up & abused by the Medical Community. I subbed to Elle's page & saw you & others I know, which brought me back to you. I know u always said DR was the best at home device & wanted to hear your tips. I do love you & appreciate all you bring to this community. God Bless You! xoxo
Thank you! I do love the dermaroller and have been using it on my face for the last 8-9 years and on my lips the last 3 years. I really think it's the best at home anti-aging device. I do spray mine (really drench it) because I have heard placing it in a glass to soak can bend the needles and then can cause tears in the skin. Lots of love oxox
I’ve used the Dermarollers three times for old stretch marks but months apart and had no results. I used it recently on brand new tiny stretch marks on my preggo stomach and they’re fading within a week of use! So so happy because I didn’t want new marks in my life. Anyway, for anyone with new marks- highly recommend it! For old ones I’d say be consistent and use it every 4-6 weeks on schedule- I’ll try that next.
I just heard about derma rolling literally hours ago. someone suggested I check YT and I found you. I am so glad i did because I was about to buy the1.0 size. the instructions suggested time frames for uses and said 1.0 was once a week. omgosh i would have wasted money. I also need to use it on cellulite that's really bad on my thighs. I dont need much on my face mostly my under eye and neck. thx, i will be adjusting my cart order..
I think the large size needle rollers are meant more for the body, but personally I would start with a 0.5 mm or 0.75 mm for the body and then work up to the 1.0. On my face I use both the 0.25 mm (a few times a week) and then the 0.5 mm just once or twice a month. Keep in mind I'm not a medical professional but I have read so much about dermarolling and have been rolling for a good 6 or 7 years. It does take time to see results (on average about 6 months) but it really is a great at home device. I'm so glad you found my videos and I hope they are helpful! xoxo
Hi! I know it can be used on the body and for cellulite but I have never tried this. I will look into reading more about it though (not sure if the 0.5 mm is long is enough needles or if the 1.0 mm is required for the body). Thank you for the great suggestion! xoxo
Well, Anne, I've gotten myself all worked up to try it once again! But this time, I actually went ahead and ordered it from SkinDeva and used your discount code! Very reasonable price plus your discount, no tax, and free shipping, too! Hooray and Ohmygosh. I'm really going to do this. I ordered the .50 and will soon be rolling my forehead lines and lips. My hands look pretty good but since you say you saw your quickest results there, I may do them, too. Thank you for such a great series of videos on derma-rolling. I think I'll try it on a Friday night, so if I'm a pink fright, I can stay home the next day. Thank you for the warning about the Vitamin C burning. I'll start with my Retinol serum. Have a great week, and be happy.
+Oh Dear Yay! I'm so glad you are giving the dermaroller a try. I just love the dermaroller and have seen some good improvement from using it. It does take some time to see results, but it's worth it. The fastest improvement was on my upper eyelids and the backs of my hands. Happy rolling! xoxo
+BeautyBy Anne-Marie Oh, wow. Upper eyelids, too. i don't know how I missed that. Mine have gotten kind of crepey, so I need that too. Thank you again. i wouldn't have ever gotten the courage to do it if not for you.
+BeautyBy Anne-Marie Well, I got my SkinDeva 0.5 mm dermaroller (what a steal with your coupon, free shipping, and no tax!). i couldn't believe how quickly it arrived! Well, I did it! And it was super. Nothing at all to fear. no bleeding or pain 😉. I just followed your technique. I'm so happy I got it, and at just every 2 weeks, this will be easy to continue. Thank you again and again for helping me to get up the nerve to finally try it! Have a great weekend.
I am just beginning to derma roll and would Iike to know how often I should derma roll. I realize that I will not see any improvements for at least 3 months or more. Thank you for helping me out with your videos which I love.
I use my 0.5 mm 1x every week or two weeks for new collagen. (I also like to use a 0.25 two or three times a week for product absorption). I hope this helps! xoxo
Anne, thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. I just have a quick question, since I am just starting out, I am 71 and have many wrinkles. Would Derma Rolling more often be beneficial, since I am starting at an older age and to see any improvement would take 3 to 6 months. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Thank you for your answer. Just a quick question...since I am beginning Derma Rolling , I know you suggested I think 1x a week . Since I am 71 years old, and have lots of wrinkles that I hate, would doing Derma Rolling 3x a week give me results in 3 -6 months.? Thank you for responding 😊
Personally, with a 0.5 mm roller I'd only roll once a week just so your skin has time to repair and build collagen in between rolling. With the smaller 0.25 which helps with product absorption you can roll everynight if you want before applying products and still roll once a week with the 0.5 for collagen. You could try it more often though if you want to see how you do. xoxo
Great video Anne I started after your video and love it. Also love your hair. Only problem is I can't remember when I last used it! Oh well. Your gorgeous
+Barb Zwettler Thank you so much Barb! I don't really keep track too well when I use it either. I think as long as you space it just a bit you'll be good. xoxo Anne
Thank you so much! I love dermarolling and think it definitely helps to improve my aging skin. I'm trying to put off the fillers and botox as long as I can and just try to get my skin to build collagen. I'm so glad to hear you think the same and I really appreciate you watching and commenting! xoxo
I tried it a few days ago. It turns out that mine is the 0.05 size. I didn't think it was too uncomfortable. My skin was kind of sensitive for a couple days afterward, but it wasn't bad. I'm going to dermaroll again this weekend.
Good evening I did a lot of research on dermaroller and I'm also a licensed cosmetologist and you explain wonderfully and in such a practical way this is the third video or yours and yes I just would like to add because I noticed you get this question a lot is the size (amount of needles ) will determine the frequency of use and also the areas where to use and what for are you using it wich varies from enhancing product absorption and performance to anti aging, scar, stretch marks, hair loss and cellulite improvement I am using a 1.5 for a tummy tuck scar and a numbing cream must be applied is important to keep in mind that both skin and roller must be disinfected the roller can be let in alcohol for ten minutes it is more convenient to apply serums after dermaroller a copper peptide is good for my desired result and then the product to treat the condition 2.0 wil be used after 8 weeks ....consistency is the key
Thank you for the great info on those larger dermaroller sizes that I know nothing about. I appreciate it and sure others will too! Good point on disinfecting the skin as well, I have just been disinfecting my roller. Wonderful info! Thanks so much! xoxo
Thank you for the response, Anne! I still have two more questions: 1.) Is it better to derma roll in the morning or evening time? 2.) Where do I buy a derma roller, just like the one you have in the video?
I dermaroll at night since it makes my skin a little red for awhile and lets products absorb deeper for an hour after rolling (great time to put on skin care and leave it overnight). The roller I have in this video is from skin deva website and if you use discount code: beautybyanne that will save you 10%. xoxo
Hi. What size needle should I use to treat melasma and a few acne scars? How often should I use the derma roller on my face? Can I add it to my weekly mini facial routine? Thank you for your videos. I'm now a subscriber :)
+Marifer Avery Hi! Welcome to my channel and thank you for subscribing and watching! I have a chart inserted (I think it's around the 1:45 mark) in this video which breaks down what they recommend each needle size for...not sure that I remember ever hearing what size to use for melasma though. As for how often that's the most difficult question because there are so many differing answers out there (I do go over the average times to use the different sizes in the video too) Basically for a smaller .25 mm 3x a week, .5mm once every 2 weeks and 1.0 mm once every 4-6 weeks. You can definitely apply skin care products after dermarolling. They absorb deeper for up to an hour after rolling. I hope this helps! xoxo
+Kristen Kay Hi Kristen! It really isn't that bad. It looks and sounds more painful than it is ;) The results take a little time but it's worth it. I did see the fastest results on my hands and lips. Give it a try I think you'll like it. xoxo Anne
Haha, I have heard that before and would agree. One time a couple sat behind me at a restaurant and told me when I got up to leave that they were convinced I was her ;) xoxo
...I can understand how you have heard that before, Anne Marie ! { about Suzanne Somers)...; I was mistaken for her, many times. when I lived in Las Vegas, it was somewhat ' funny' , lol. Love your videos. You do a good job explaining things, and I have always wondered about the derma roller, have wanted to use one but haven't as yet. ( I will be 64 here, in a few days, so it is all about ' always learning', lol )
Thanks for the great overview. Definitely going to try this and see if it improves my skin. I may try it on my arms as well as it seems the skin is becoming crapy.
Am really into good diet / fitness , which helps skin automatically, but have been experimenting after seeing how gorgeous Anne looks after derma rolling , although I'm starting much later (55). Seeing some procedure at Doctor's surguries - longer needles are used - and blood introduced into the serum. This isnt very pleasant, but I started a month ago with a 0.75 mm roller, and deliberately draw blood around eyes and nasal creases. This needs 2 or 3 glasses of red wine beforehand, but initial results seem quite good. The downside is that my face is pretty beat up for 2/3 days afterwards. Was using coconut or avocado oil afterwards, but switched now to Hyaluronic acid with peptides - & waiting to see the different effect this has.
The HA and peptides should really help. You are brave to try that size, I only go up to a 0.5 due to it being a bit uncomfortable (the wine would probably help though LOL). My lines and wrinkles around my mouth have greatly improved but I still get some lines when I smile under my eyes which I don't like, but they are the most difficult for me to get rid of. I'd love a future update on how things are going and if you are seeing some good improvement (it takes at least 3-6 months to build new collagen, but you should see some results). Lots of love to you xoox
Thank you for your quick response! I just saw your Escar Glow video, it was very helpful and it provided the link to Skin Deva. I was pleasantly surprised to see that you use snail cream. I heard that women in Korea swear by that. I've heard that Horsetail cream is excellent for dry/mature skin, but can't seem to find it in the US. If you happen to find some, pls let me know! Thanks again! I can relate and enjoy watching your videos. You're awesome! xoxo
Thank you so much!!! Yes, I'll keep my eye out for the horsetail cream (have never heard of it so am interested to read about it). I am really enjoying the snail cream...I have heard wonderful things about Korean skin care! I appreciate you watching!! xoxo
Hi Anne-Marie, very useful video. I just bought my first dermaroller. I bought the .25 and after watching your video I am going to buy the .50. There is also a .30. I don't know if I should try that one.
I think you will like them...the .25 is comfortable to use daily if you want and the .5 I only use once every 2 weeks (a little less comfortable but not bad). A .30 or a 3.0? If its a .30 it would be comfortable to use (like the .25) but if it's a larger 3.0 I'm not sure if I would try that on the face. I have heard longer needle sizes (2.0 and up) are good for the body (firming, cellulite and stretch marks). xoxo
Which is the one that has 540 needles? Thts the one I got in the mail and used it for first time today, can I use it every week? Thank you, your skin looks amazing!!!
Do you know the length of needles? I use my 0.5 mm once a week or once every 2 weeks. For my lips I use a 0.25 two or three times a week. I hope this helps!! xoxo
Hi Carmen, yes you absolutely can apply retinol after using a dermaroller...it's a great time to! Right after dermarolling I apply a serum (matrixyl is good since it helps build collagen and is lightweight ..I use one from skin deva website). After 10 minutes I apply my retin a or retinol. If by chance my skin is really irritated at the time I apply either weleda skin food or avene cicalfate to calm my skin and help repair it. Sometimes I apply mizon snail cream after dermarolling which also helps to build collagen. I hope this helps! xoxo
Hi, love the way you explain things but I have a question what is the exact way to treat open pores by derma roller and what serum or beauty product I should use? Will be glad to hear from you. Thanks
Hi, I just apply a good skin care product (retin a, retinaldehyde or retinol) after (you can use any skin care product you like) and it helps it to soak in deeper. I did do a recent video on reducing mouth wrinkles where I dermaroll and show products that help to build collagen after rolling. You might want to watch that, if you click my channel name and scroll through my videos. Those are the products I like to use after rolling. Lots of love xoxo
Beauty By Anne-Marie Thank you so much for your great courtesy and advice I am going to watch that Video and try it for sure Thank you so much again stay blessed😊
thanks for the vidi! I will be doing my 4th dermarolling tomorrow. I do my face, neck, chest, buttocks, hands, and arms...lol! waiting to see some results!
+wendy Jan Hi! It does take a little while to see results. I believe I read around 2-3 months to see results. I did notice results within a week or so when I used it on the backs of my hands. Huge improvement. Be patient and I hope you see some great results! xoxo Anne
Thank you!! I don't use the LED light dermaroller because I don't think the LED light is on the skin long enough to see results from it. I do have a separate LED light device that I use right after dermarolling (I did a couple reviews on it). The combo of the 2 together is great though and has good results! Lots of love to you xoxo
Thank you for all your guidance! I am about to use the 0.5 stamp you recommend, for my elevens, for the first time. Do I need to push it into the skin? How hard do I 'stamp'? How do I know if it penetrates and doesn't just sits on top of the skin? Should I numb for just that small area, or just move through it?
You will need to push it into the skin so the needles penetrate the skin, but theres only so far they can go in (whatever the needle length is). It really just depends how sensitive your skin is as to if you need a numbing cream first or not. I'd try it without first and see if it is tolerable for you
I was wondering if you have ever tried the LED Red Light therapy ( the at home kind)? I have heard that it is a good add-on to do with the derma roller. Thanks Shellie
+Michelle Browen Hi Shellie! Yes, I do have a lightstim red light therapy at home device that I bought 9 years ago and sometimes I do use it right after I dermaroll (not as much as I should be). I have also heard it is great to use then for added collagen benefits. I need to use it more right after... my biggest problem is remembering to use it. lol. Great suggestion! I hope you have a wonderful week! xoxo Anne
I have a .5 roller. I've tried to use it a few times but I think it makes my texture look worse and stop. Is derma rolling something that makes things looked worse before it's better? I don't do it hard. It makes my face look dry and rough. Thanks for your videos. They are very informative and helpful.
+Squeaker “squeakermama” R Hi! I have not experienced that with the dermaroller, but Retin A has done that to me (made me look worse when I first started and very dry and irritated). You can apply hyaluronic serum (or any other oil or moisturizer) before and after dermarolling. I usually skip the before product, but it might help your skin to put something moisturizing on right before you dermaroll and again right after. A couple of my go to moisturizers I love when my skin is really dry or irritated is Weleda skin food (a little on the greasier side so I use it at night) and Avene Cicalfate cream. I hope this helps some so you can use your dermaroller (also can be used on the backs of hands with really good improvement to the skin there). I appreciate you watching and would love an update. xoxo Anne
Thank you for the advice. I will really concentrate on keeping my face more hydrated this time. Also will try using a very mild and gentle moisturizer before rolling. I began last night and my face was a bit red and it burned when I applied my Olay face cream after. I rinsed it off with some cool water and applied some CeraVe Moisturizing Cream cream and it felt much better. Can you suggest a hyaluronic serum to use?
+Squeaker “squeakermama” R I actually don't use a hyaluronic serum, but have seen them at the health food store skin care/beauty area. I do have some products that have that as an ingredient, but not as the main ingredient. I would go to a health food store that has a big selection of beauty products and look or vitacost online (I love shopping through vitacost and they ship pretty fast too). xoxo
Hi Anna Marie😀 I got the 0.5 and the .25 derma roller. In the video you mention using the .25, 3x per week and the 0.5, 1X per every two weeks. I can combine this routine or do I need to pick one or the other? The collagen will have time to heal between these times, if I do both? Thank you!
Those were averages for use when I researched how often to use them. I personally use either a 0.25 or 0.5 mm once a week or once every 2 weeks (one or the other size but not both). Sometimes I do roll my lips with the 0.25 a couple times a week, but that's the only area I will roll twice a week. Yes, you do want time to let your skin heal in between rolling so I would just use one size per week (you could alternate them if you wanted) or use the 0.25 on thinner skinned areas like around the eyes or lips and the 0.5 into deeper wrinkles. xoxo
Hi Anne Marie, I have heard after you dermaroll with a 0.5 needle that you shouldn’t wear make up for a day or two after. Is this true? Also, if you dermaroll with the 0.25 needle 2-3 times a week around your eyes and lips, do you still wear eye makeup and lipstick the next day? Thank you! Love your videos 😊
I picked up both the roller and the stamp based on your recommendation, then I found out our good friend who does LOADS of hair and makeup in Hollywood (The Voice, Shark Tank) HIGHLY suggests it, so I’m excited to get started 😊😊 She swears by them, and she’s been a skin care specialist for twenty plus years 😄👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve been getting tattooed for 26 years, so I think I’ll be ok with the pain level 😂😂 We shall see. I just got it in the mail so I have yet to try it out 💜✨💜
Beauty By Anne-Marie Well, I don’t have anything on my schedule for the next decade, so I’m all good, hahaha. I’m doing my first ‘roll’ later today 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
With a 0.5 mm I use it 1x every week or two to stimulate collagen and with a 0.25 mm size I would use it 2-3 x a week (it just helps with product absorption). I have a few videos on dermarolling (newer ones) that you might find more helpful (titled "How to dermaroll! full face anti-aging dermarolling routine" is a good one) Lots of love xoxo
Hi, great video! How soon after I've done my derma rolling can l use my retin A? Also, how should l clean my face prior to derma rolling, as l cant use alcohol on my skin. 😘
I put my products on right away after rolling. I just wash my face really well before rolling (you don't have to use alcohol only if you want to) definitely only roll on a clean face though. xoxo
Hi there, helpful informative video. Can you kindly help me with following queries. Is it OK to use oils after derma rolling. Rosehip oil or an oil based serum to be more precise ? How do I test exactly if derma rolling is suitable for my skin. ? Is it necessary to apply products after derma rolling or one can just do rolling and that would also help. ? Also should one apply something that's anti bacterial before and soon after rolling ? If yes what is it exactly one needs to apply ? Some are using 15% salicylic cleanser 50% rubbing alcohol before rolling. Do you recommend any particular cleanser or Cetaphil cleanser or any regular cleanser is fine ?
Hi! I have used oils right after rolling and they work fine. I never did a test with the roller, I just rolled my most wrinkled area and it was fine. I guess you could test it on your arm or back of hand first though. I clean my face with any face cleanser I have (I usually do it twice before rolling) and it's probably best to gently wipe your skin with rubbing alcohol to sanitize it right before rolling as well. I don't put on any anti-bacterial products myself before or after but you certainly could. I always apply my skin care after but it will also build collagen (0.5 mm or 1.0 mm build collagen, I personally stick with just a 0.5 mm) even without products after. I hope this helps some! xoxo
Are there any particular type of needles I should look for while shopping for a Derma roller ? I just bought 540 Titanium Microneedle Dermaroller. Hope this is fine ? Kindly let me know.
+Elle Is For Living Hi Elle! Thank you so much. Well, that was good of you to even bring it! I don't know if I would bother traveling with it unless I was going to be gone awhile. How are you liking it so far? xoxo Anne
I am confused with the cream that I need to apply right after dermarolling. Can you please suggest one all natural hyaluronic acid cream to apply right after dermarolling? Thanks!
Yes, I think dermarolling or dermastamping can improve anyone's skin no matter the age. It does take time to build collagen 3-6 months of using a 0.5mm once every week or two but I have seen a great improvement with rolling/stamping. xoxo
Thank you! If you watch my "get rid of lines & wrinkles! No botox or fillers" video or my "get rid of mouth wrinkles" video I show and/or talk about what products I like to apply after to build collagen. Lots of love xoxo
I am so interested in this. I have been looking into the one my daughter sells with rodan and fields but have not made my mind up on anything yet since my face is so sensitive. But, it sure works for you, the proof is on the pudding. XO Stacy
+Stacy Angel Hi Stacy! I do love the dermaroller and highly recommend one. Since you have very sensitive skin I would suggest starting out with a smaller needle size and see how you tolerate it (.25 or possibly a slightly larger .5). I am interested in the Rodan and Fields skin care and may give it a try at some point, the before and after photos are amazing. I saw the fastest results from dermarolling on my hands and lips. Other places do take a little more time to see results, but it's worth it. xoxo Anne
my daughter sells it and I like it but I am trying to only buy more natural clean products. If you want results you will get it with the R&D for sure, if you need a girl let me know I will send you her info.
Thank you Anne for the video, you did a great job explaining. I have been wanting to try derma rolling for a while, but have been a bit intimidated by it. Do you think it is best to start with the .25 and move up to .50. or is .50 ok to start with. I use retin a and just want to make sure I don;t do any damage. When you talk about using it on your lips, do mean actually on the lips, or on lines around mouth? Thank you.
+Donna Denny Hi Donna! I do use it on my actual lips and also around the lip area (I did a video on it which you can find by clicking the link in the description box of this video, it is a playlist of all my dermarolling videos). I have seen the fastest results on my lips and hands. The best size of dermaroller in my opinion is the .50 since it can be used in all areas and is long enough to stimulate the production of new collagen but isn't as uncomfortable as the even larger ones are. I hope this helps! xoxo Anne
Ann GREAT video, may i ask wjere you bought your roller, I ordered mine on amazon, its a o.3 to sm lol I dont know how THIS happened, but after watching a fee more of ur videos i just ordered the .5 Im very excited to syart this, I guess my biggest problem id lije to ask you about is this product we use afterwards, Everything I have or use, Says "Not to use on broken skin" this bothers me, Isnt our skin broken after we use the roller? I am just trying to be safe to what i use I know ur no Dr. But your very educated!! Thanks Lj
Thank you! I have purchased off amazon or ebay for rollers. Also Gin Amber website and she has a discount code for myself and my viewers of ANNE25 for 25% off. I do look for real needle rollers now after learning a lot are just sharpened metal discs (I've used those before with no problem but now I look for needles--you can see them on the side view of rollers-- Gins are real needle if you want to look at her photos of them). You can use any skin care you like after -- I avoid ones that sting the skin like glycolics and some vitamin c products can sting. In my Over 50 evening skin care routine video I show all my steps and what I apply. I hope this helps! xoxo
Ann, i believe i have fig it out, ok they sent me a 0.3mm i bet its not needles, because it does not even turn my face red, nor feel bad at all so i know its not a real derma roller.. I will order the .5 by gin tommo, god bless you i appreciate everything.. Xo Lj
Thank you so much for your videos! I have mild rosacia (just some bumps on cheeks and some small visible capillaries and minor redness. Is it ok to treat these areas or should I steer clear? Tx!!
Yes, I just googled dermarolling and rosacea and according to some drs who answered this question on real self website, they say they do dermaroll on people with mild cases and recommend a growth factor product after. Looks like there is quite a bit of info on that topic that you might want to read. Lots of love xoxo
Hi Ann I want to start dermaroller should I start with .25 or can I start with .05 or use both and after dermeroller I can use my retionals i use dr graft she also puts felic acid in hers ur skin looks amazing wish i would have tried derarolling sooner lol i dont have sensitive skin and have had recently had my eyebrows tattooed so blond now they look great so i guess if that didnt hurt much then dermarolling should b ok i do like ur vides thanks Susan
Hi! You can do both the 0.25 and the 0.5 if you want. I use my 0.25 a few times a week (it can be used nightly if you want). It's great to help with product absorption. The 0.5 is long enough to stimulate new collagen growth so I use it once every 2 weeks. You could use it once a week but I wouldn't use that one nightly so that your skin has time to repair itself and build collagen in between rollings. I use my retin a or retinol products right after rolling. The 0.5 is a little uncomfortable but not too bad. There are also topical numbing creams you can get over the counter if it is too uncomfortable (I doubt it will be). Lots of love to you xoxo
Hi! I have never tried a dermapen, only the dermaroller. I have heard that microneedling (dermapen or dermaroller) are helpful with acne scars, but I don't have experience personally with this. I just use my roller for wrinkles. I'm not sure what size needles you would need for the acne scars (I think I read at least a 0.5 mm or a 1.0 mm) I'm sorry I am not more help in that area. xoxo
Thank you so much!!! I'm so sorry, I don't remember what lip color I was wearing (this video is about a year old now). I will start putting that info in the description box from now on though, that is a good idea! I hope you see some good results from the dermaroller!!! Lots of love xoox
Thanks for letting me know! This is an older video so they probably sold out of the dermaroller. I'll update the link and you can always find my microneedling favorites in the category MICRONEEDLING: UNITED STATES: www.amazon.com/shop/amctomy UNITED KINGDOM: www.amazon.co.uk/shop/amctomy CANADA: www.amazon.ca/shop/amctomy
hi a have used the dermaroller for one month but then i stoped can i use the same dermaroller or i have to buy a new one .and your are so beautifull.:)
+zana alimi Hi! You can absolutely use the same one! They only need replaced about once a year. You do want to sanitize it with rubbing alcohol after each use though. Thank you so much!! xoxo
Hi Anne! I found your videos via Jenifer Jenkins & I am just loving all of your videos,as we are close in age & I'm starting to really care more about skincare. I have a question. I just started derma rolling today & saw that there is an ice roller. I don't know if you've seen them, but most have a ss roller that you keep in the fridge & take out to use on your face when ready. My question is,if I'm primarily derma rolling to increase absorption of skin care products, will it be counterproductive to apply the ice roller after derma rolling,as I'm thinking it will close my pores, making skin care products less penetrating? It sure would feel good to apply that ice roller after derma rolling,as I feel like I have a bad sunburn,of course, but don't want to use the ice one afterwards if it will be counterproductive. What do you think?
Welcome to my channel and I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos!!! That is a great question! I have seen the ice rollers but have never tried one. I honestly don't know but think your reasoning makes a lot of sense. I wonder if anything would pop up if you googled it (you may have already). I wish I was some help on this, but just honestly don't know. Lots of love to you xoxo
Hi, if you go to any of my newer videos I try to always put links in the description box of each of my newer videos for dermarollers and dermastamps (small 0.25 and collagen building 0.5) Lots of love to you xoxo
I've been Derma rolling around my lips and my lips because I have pigmentation being from a south Asian background. I use 0.5 mm which is small ,I see no improvement and also it's not gone any lighter but more darker .
You might want to try a fade cream instead of dermarolling. I use the dermaroller for anti-aging and don't know too much of what it does for pigmentation other than they say it is suppose to help by encouraging cell turnover/exfoliation. I use a 2% hydroquinone cream at night and think it does a nice job of evening up my skin tone. xoxo
Hi Anne-Marie, Thank you for such valuable information! Can you tell me what the difference is between the 192 and 540 micro needle? ( which do you use?) Timeless skincare seems to be out of the 0,5 needle right now :(. You look beautiful, by the way! Look forward to watching more of your videos in the future! xoxo
Thank you! I believe the difference is in the number of needles. I just use the 192 needle one. You might try Skin Deva website for .5 mm dermaroller...they have very similar products to Timeless and I have been very happy with them. They also gave me a discount code for my viewers (I do not get paid at all, this is just something nice they offered for my viewers) it is BeautyByAnne and it will save 15% off the entire site (including dermarollers). I hope this helps some and I really appreciate you watching! xoxo
Pretty much just what I mention in the video. Only roll on clean skin and be sure to sanitize it after using it. Apply skin care right after so it can absorb deeper. I did do a video on the products I apply after dermarolling just about a month ago if you want to look at that video. Pretty much any skin care works, but I do avoid vitamin c and other acids like glycolic since they would sting after rolling. xoxo
hey ann! sorry to bother you, but what mm do you use to help for just acne scar specifically cuz i been using the 0.55 , 1.50 , and 2.00 and it didnt do anything.. please HELP!!
I have no experience with dermarolling for acne scars. I thought it was the 1.0 mm but if that didn't work you might want to search youtube or the internet and see if someone has videos or advice on dermarolling acne scars. I only roll for anti-aging purposes and use a 0.25 and 0.5 mm. I'm sure there is info out there for acne scars or maybe even a med spa near you would do microneedling and know what size to use for that. I wish you luck and wish I could be more of a help to you with this! xoxo
+Riggins Riggins Hi! I love putting on oils after as well. I have not yet tried glycolics after but do use retin a after, I'll have to try my glycolic. xoxo Anne
Hi Ann i just purchased 2 derma rollers from you. I havnt tried them yet. I am almost 61 but if i use too much creamy stuff on my face, i will break out. So my question is ; after derma rolling what could i use for sensative skin that would work and not put too much oil back in my skin?
Hi Ann, I just used my derma roller for the second time and used hyluronic acid after wards. Do you think that's ok to use? I just watched Nisha's video and she said not to use it. The first time I used vitamin C & it really burned. Thank you for all the helpful videos
+corina cotter Hi! I would think HA would be fine to use either after rolling or some people put it on and then roll their skin. I would not recommend vit c right after due to that very fact you talked about... I think it would burn. You can also use skin oils after or retin a (I mix my retin a with Weleda skin food to reduce irritation) or whatever face cream you want. I only avoid things I think will sting and burn (vit c, glycolics, etc) I hope this helps some! xoxo
Hi Ann , I’m your new subscriber, I order 0.25 DR and Matrixyl Synthe 6 serum and Vitamin c Ferulic serum from Skin Deva. Must I have spray alcohol on DR before and after dermarolling ?
Before and after would be good, I usually just spray it after but you can do both to be on the safe side. Thank you for subscribing and I hope you enjoy my videos!!! Lots of love to you xoxo
Since making this video I have upped my rolling routine with the 0.5 mm to either once a week or once every 2 weeks. I have read it takes between 3-6 months to see the benefits of new collagen with a consistent rolling routine. xoxo
Dear Anne..that was an amazing work you have done on introducing dermarolling.....people are really curious now!...I have to be honest...have not been on the top of it lately....was not feeling my best...I get this crazy migraines that put me out of order...must be change of life...well 50 around the corner...no spring chicken anymore...your skin is soo good...I think those peels you have been doing are showing their effect ..but than you also have very nice skincare products all together....and we know once you pamper it...it responds....Have you ever got anything from KIKO cosmetics...just watched some a video with eyeshadows being used..they have this interesting turquise liner in a stick form ..slightly glistening... ..we do not have it here in TO..but it is unexpensive line....How about some lilac or purple shadows...or liners....they also pop blue...but little different way....I have been playing with olive green and that khaki shade...not bad at all..oh I have those days I just want to play with makeup...do you?.....have a good night.......big hugg .....Jana
+Jana Kleinerova Hi Jana! I hope you are feeling better, I know migraines can really wipe you out. I'm so sorry to hear that and hope you are feeling better soon. I have not yet tried or even seen the KIKO cosmetics yet, I'll have to keep an eye out for them. I am with you...all about trying to make my eyes "pop" a bit. I am switching things up after using the teal liner for so long. I have switched to a light grey and am doing minimum shadow right now. I saw a tutorial from a girl who barely did any eye makeup and her eyes popped nicely. Of course she is also 21 LOL and everything looks good when you are that young.I do love lilac/purple shades and may have to dig a few I have out and try them again. Thanks for the great suggestion. The olive and khaki sound really nice together! I bet it looks lovely on you! I think you should do beauty videos, you know so much about makeup and skin care and you have a passion for it if time allows. I'd love to watch you. I hope you have a wonderful week hun! Lots of love--Anne
I have a whole video on dermarolling the lips and what I apply to help build collagen. The video title is: Bigger lips without filler injections, makeup or suction devices. xoxo
+bostongal912 Thank you! It takes some time to see results, but well worth it! I think dermarolling is one of the best at home anti-aging things you can do :) xoxo
I don't know what to put the derma roller into to sterilize it. I put it into a glass and covered the roller with alcohol. I think the roller ring straight up in the glass resting on the needles bent them. The roller does not roll smoothly, sorta hesitates and actually hurts more than the first time I derma rolled. I'm pitching it and buying a new one. What do you use so this doesn't happen? I guess something shallow that would allow the roller to be flat??
I have yet to find something good to soak it in where it won't bend the needles, which is why I end up just spraying it several times with rubbing alcohol. If I come up with something I will definitely mention it. I have read to soak it in the container it came in and I tried that once but it wasn't covered in rubbing alcohol enough. I will try different things and see if any work... xoxo
Make sure your dermaroller has real needles and not metal needles or metal in the base. Alcohol will rust the metal and this could be a reason for your troubles. Also, introducing metals into your skin can be very bad.
I have Isocol rubbing alcohol, which contains 64% isopropyl alcohol. Is this safe to use as a disinfectant for my 1.0mm derma stamp when cleaning after use to prevent infection? I read of an incident online where someone obtained staph infection, even though she was disinfecting her derma roller with hydrogen peroxide.
I always use rubbing alcohol to disinfect my rollers or stamps. I think mine is 90 or 91% but I would guess that a lower percent will work fine too as long as it is rubbing alcohol. Lots of love to you xoxo
I started watching your videos a few days ago & decided to try derma rolling for under the eyes and nasolabial folds which are my problem areas. Can you advise on how to search for the narrow type of eye roller .25 or is it called a special name? I searched mostly on Amazon & only see the wider rollers.
I just searched for it on amazon and didn't see any but when I did a google search some came up when I typed in "3 line derma roller" I hope this helps!!! Lots of love xoxo
I have a question!!! How often should I moisturze the area I've dermarolled while it's healing, if at all? I've seen other RUclipsrs apply a serum to the face first, then dermaroll, then they reapply hydacaulic acid or retinol serum So my question, do I need to keep the area moisturized? Does the face scab?
The face doesn't scab at least not using the sizes I use (0.25 and a 0.5 mm) you can apply any skin care you like before or after rolling. I would just avoid ones that sting the skin like glycolic products or some vitamin c products. Moisturizing is fine to do especially if you feel like your skin needs it. xoxo
+Melissa55 Thank you so much Melissa! I appreciate it! Hope you have a wonderful day, lots of love! Anne
Thank you so much for watching, I truly appreciate it and hope you have a wonderful week as well. xoxo Anne
+Beauty By Anne-Marie should i wash my face after using it or just directly apply. skin care product ?
Melissa55
Hi,except for serum .can I used toner before rolling and after
I have just begun derma-rolling. I used a .20, and did not break the skin, but after an hour it looked like I had a great facial. Thank you for your advice. It has helped a lot!
I'm so glad! I really like the small rollers (they aren't uncomfortable at all and do improve the skin) xoxo
What a great explanation of the dermaroller process. Your skin always looks flawless. I am on way to watch your other video on this topic. Thank you for sharing. Debbie
+Proudgigi Thank you Debbie! I appreciate it so much! xoxo Anne
I just found you in my search for ways to reduce frown lines. I have found your videos to be very informative. Going to watch more of course but I am considering getting a dermaroller. Thanks for the videos.
Thank you for watching and I'm so glad you are finding my videos helpful! xoxo
I checked to see where you have been and YT unsubscribed me from your channel so I never got notifications! I'm so glad I checked.
I'm glad you checked in! YT does some weird things. Lots of love to you xoxo
BeautyBy Anne-Marie can Dermaroller increase facial haïr for woman
Kathy Aay Beauty RUclips can be such a turd. They DELETED some of my videos, saying I’d removed them, which, uhhhh, no, I had not. So annoying 🤬🤬
Thank you for the advice of how often to use the different sizes. I will begin as soon as mine arrives!
I hope you are having a wonderful week! xoxo Anne
Excellent video! Thank you for making a confusing subject clear to me!
I'm so glad I could help! It does get confusing. Lots of love xoxo
Thank you so much for watching! Lots of love xoxo
Your page is awesome! You're very sweet and explain your treatments well. So glad I found you!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found me too and hope you are enjoying my videos! Lots of love to you xoxo
Just got a dermaroller and your video was very helpful . . . saw your video also on using it on upper eyelid area and will be trying that, too!
Xoxo :*
Crikey, what a difference! For £5 my hands look years younger when nothing else worked! Big thank you Anne-Marie!
Yay!!! I'm so glad to hear! Thank you for the update!!!
It does take time to see results but is worth it. xoxo Anne
Nice
I'm with you and am all about anything that is anti-aging! xoxo Anne
Anne. Thank you for a great, detailed video. I got the one from timeless as well. I am going to start being more consistent with it.
For old ones I’d say be consistent and use it every 4-6 weeks on schedule- I’ll try that next.
thanks for sharing! I haven't tried it on stretch marks yet, so appreciate the info. xoxo
I'm so glad you found my videos and I hope they are helpful! xoxo

Hi. Love your derma rolling videos. Can you make one about derma rolling for cellulite?
Hi! I know it can be used on the body and for cellulite but I have never tried this. I will look into reading more about it though (not sure if the 0.5 mm is long is enough needles or if the 1.0 mm is required for the body). Thank you for the great suggestion! xoxo
I'll look forward to it. Thank you for reply
+Oh Dear I'm so glad I could help, that makes me happy! xoxo
I think as long as you space it just a bit you'll be good. xoxo Anne
Nice channel! I'm a fan of dermarolling, too. Nice to see a channel exploring alternatives to botox and fillers when it comes to mature beauty. :)
Thank you so much! I love dermarolling and think it definitely helps to improve my aging skin. I'm trying to put off the fillers and botox as long as I can and just try to get my skin to build collagen. I'm so glad to hear you think the same and I really appreciate you watching and commenting! xoxo
Love your diamond ring 💍 and I want to thank you for your amazing helpful information!!
Thank you so much!!! I'm so glad you find my videos helpful, that makes me happy! xoxo
Great information! Thanks for sharing. I just bought one with the shortest needles but haven't used it yet. Hugs ... Michelle💜
+KS girl 1969 Hi Michelle! I'm so glad you got one! I'd love to hear an update xoxo Anne
I tried it a few days ago. It turns out that mine is the 0.05 size. I didn't think it was too uncomfortable. My skin was kind of sensitive for a couple days afterward, but it wasn't bad. I'm going to dermaroll again this weekend.
Thank you, I plan on ordering a kit from Walmart on line.
Lots of love xoxo
Thanks so much! xoxo
BeautyBy Anne-Marie your amazing keep up the great job!!!
Thank you for the response, Anne! I still have two more questions:
1.) Is it better to derma roll in the morning or evening time?
2.) Where do I buy a derma roller, just like the one you have in the video?
I dermaroll at night since it makes my skin a little red for awhile and lets products absorb deeper for an hour after rolling (great time to put on skin care and leave it overnight). The roller I have in this video is from skin deva website and if you use discount code: beautybyanne that will save you 10%. xoxo
Thank you SO much for all your responses, Anne! Take care and God bless!
I hope this helps! xoxo
Thank you for your quick reply. I'll start with the 0.5 mm every other week and see how that works.
I have a set and I still havent used it. Im a little scared of it.
+Kristen Kay Hi Kristen! It really isn't that bad. It looks and sounds more painful than it is ;) The results take a little time but it's worth it. I did see the fastest results on my hands and lips. Give it a try I think you'll like it. xoxo Anne
Kristen Kay same haha
I hope you tried it!!
This is a great video, thank you! You are gorgeous lady!!!
Thank you so much! xoxo
Lol you remind me of Suzanne Somers
Yes I totally agree ! She’s beautiful!
Thanks for the great overview. Definitely going to try this and see if it improves my skin. I may try it on my arms as well as it seems the skin is becoming crapy.
Am really into good diet / fitness , which helps skin automatically, but have been experimenting after
seeing how gorgeous Anne looks after derma rolling , although I'm starting much later (55). Seeing some
procedure at Doctor's surguries - longer needles are used - and blood introduced into the serum. This
isnt very pleasant, but I started a month ago with a 0.75 mm roller, and deliberately draw blood around eyes
and nasal creases. This needs 2 or 3 glasses of red wine beforehand, but initial results seem quite good.
The downside is that my face is pretty beat up for 2/3 days afterwards. Was using coconut or avocado oil
afterwards, but switched now to Hyaluronic acid with peptides - & waiting to see the different effect this has.
I have heard longer needle sizes (2.0 and up) are good for the body (firming, cellulite and stretch marks). xoxo
Your Hair is Perfection in this video.love it♡
Thank you so much!
I hope this helps!! xoxo
can I apply retinol after using the dermaroller? or what skincare do you use after the dermaroller.
Be patient and I hope you see some great results! xoxo Anne
Hello ....happy new year ...
Urs video is vry informative....
Plz give review on electric derma roller with LED light...
With love thanx
Thank you!! I don't use the LED light dermaroller because I don't think the LED light is on the skin long enough to see results from it. I do have a separate LED light device that I use right after dermarolling (I did a couple reviews on it). The combo of the 2 together is great though and has good results! Lots of love to you xoxo
Hello Anne. Just needed to know if I could use Aspercreme on my skin, rather than Lidocaine?
You could try it and just be sure to wash it off before rolling. Lots of love xoxo
You are lovely. You also have good energy. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that! xoxo
I'd try it without first and see if it is tolerable for you
@@BeautyByAnneMarie THANK YOU! You're a clear and very helpful teacher! Exactly what I needed to know
I was wondering if you have ever tried the LED Red Light therapy ( the at home kind)?
I would go to a health food store that has a big selection of beauty products and look or vitacost online (I love shopping through vitacost and they ship pretty fast too). xoxo
Hi Anna Marie😀
I got the 0.5 and the .25 derma roller.
Yes, you do want time to let your skin heal in between rolling so I would just use one size per week (you could alternate them if you wanted) or use the 0.25 on thinner skinned areas like around the eyes or lips and the 0.5 into deeper wrinkles. xoxo
@@BeautyByAnneMarie thank you Anne Marie❤
Hi Anne Marie, I have heard after you dermaroll with a 0.5 needle that you shouldn’t wear make up for a day or two after. Is this true? Also, if you dermaroll with the 0.25 needle 2-3 times a week around your eyes and lips, do you still wear eye makeup and lipstick the next day? Thank you! Love your videos 😊
I usually wait about 12 hours after rolling with either a 0.25 or 0.5 mm roller to apply makeup and have never had any issues with doing that. xoxo
I picked up both the roller and the stamp based on your recommendation, then I found out our good friend who does LOADS of hair and makeup in Hollywood (The Voice, Shark Tank) HIGHLY suggests it, so I’m excited to get started 😊😊 She swears by them, and she’s been a skin care specialist for twenty plus years 😄👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I’ve been getting tattooed for 26 years, so I think I’ll be ok with the pain level 😂😂 We shall see. I just got it in the mail so I have yet to try it out 💜✨💜
I hope you see some good results! I feel it has made a big difference for me over the years. It takes time but is well worth it ;) Lots of love xoxo
Beauty By Anne-Marie Well, I don’t have anything on my schedule for the next decade, so I’m all good, hahaha. I’m doing my first ‘roll’ later today 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Good afternoon Ann, how often should I as a beginner derma roll and use the derma stamp?
I just wash my face really well before rolling (you don't have to use alcohol only if you want to) definitely only roll on a clean face though. xoxo
Hi Anne, you said that you apply your nighttime skin care within one hour of using the dermaroller, would this include Retin-A? Love your videos.
+Debby “Deb51” Kaufman Hi Debby! Yes, I apply retin a right after dermarolling. Thank you so much for watching and for the great question! xoxo Anne
Hi there,
helpful informative video.
I hope this helps some! xoxo
Thank you so much Anne. Your revert is very helpful and I feel more confident in starting out. Love.
Are there any particular type of needles I should look for while shopping for a Derma roller ? I just bought 540 Titanium Microneedle Dermaroller. Hope this is fine ? Kindly let me know.

Good video Ann. I brought mine with me traveling this weekend but didn't use it - oy! ♥ Elle
Thanks!
Hey Ms Ann, thank you for your information. I would like to know if some one like me who is 60 could help my skin look better as a beginner?
Yes, I think dermarolling or dermastamping can improve anyone's skin no matter the age. It does take time to build collagen 3-6 months of using a 0.5mm once every week or two but I have seen a great improvement with rolling/stamping. xoxo
Good info! But what what do i apply before/after dermarolling?
+Stacy Angel Will do, thank you! xoxo
I hope this helps! xoxo Anne
You are very welcome. You have a great week as well!
Thanks for the information 😘
Thank you! xoox
Ann GREAT video, may i ask wjere you bought your roller,
I ordered mine on amazon, its a o.3 to sm lol
I dont know how THIS happened, but after watching a fee more of ur videos i just ordered the .5
Im very excited to syart this,
I guess my biggest problem id lije to ask you about is this product we use afterwards,
Everything I have or use,
Says
"Not to use on broken skin" this bothers me,
Isnt our skin broken after we use the roller?
I am just trying to be safe to what i use
I know ur no Dr. But your very educated!!
Thanks
Lj
Xo

Hi. I would like like know what do You think about dermapen for acne scars. Thanks a lot for Your help.
Hi! I have never tried a dermapen, only the dermaroller. I have heard that microneedling (dermapen or dermaroller) are helpful with acne scars, but I don't have experience personally with this. I just use my roller for wrinkles. I'm not sure what size needles you would need for the acne scars (I think I read at least a 0.5 mm or a 1.0 mm) I'm sorry I am not more help in that area. xoxo
Love to know the colour of your lipstick, and can I buy it in England, got my derma roller coming from ebay. Xx
Thank you so much!!! I'm so sorry, I don't remember what lip color I was wearing (this video is about a year old now). I will start putting that info in the description box from now on though, that is a good idea! I hope you see some good results from the dermaroller!!! Lots of love xoox
One of your Amazon links for a Derma roller takes you to an underarm “whitening cream.”
Thanks for letting me know! This is an older video so they probably sold out of the dermaroller. I'll update the link and you can always find my microneedling favorites in the category MICRONEEDLING:

hi a have used the dermaroller for one month but then i stoped can i use the same dermaroller or i have to buy a new one .and your are so beautifull.:)
Could you post a link for a small roller device? I would like to have a roller thats about a half inch
I use a 2% hydroquinone cream at night and think it does a nice job of evening up my skin tone. xoxo
Beauty By Anne-Marie Where do you purchase your hydroquinone cream from?
Hi Anne-Marie, Thank you for such
valuable information!
I hope this helps some and I really appreciate you watching! xoxo
great information xx
+dvoted4life Hi! Thank you so much! xoxo Anne
what are the things you need with the derma roller before you start and finish???? please help me out!
I wish you luck and wish I could be more of a help to you with this! xoxo
I love my dermaroller. My best results are with my oils after rolling or glycolic acids.
Let me think about that one. I'll get back with you once I think of something that might work well. xoxo
I only avoid things I think will sting and burn (vit c, glycolics, etc) I hope this helps some! xoxo
+BeautyBy Anne-Marie Thank you so much for your help!
+BeautyBy Anne-Marie Thank you so much for your help!
Hello Anne, how much pressure should one apply during dermarolling?
I apply light pressure when rolling. xoxo
New subscriber. Very informative.
Hi Ann how long does it take to see noticeable results using 0.5 every 4 to 6 weeks?
Okay i decided to try this only on lipsfirst ,what would be good to put on my lips after plz and Ghank you
I have a whole video on dermarolling the lips and what I apply to help build collagen. The video title is: Bigger lips without filler injections, makeup or suction devices. xoxo
Do you know what is the time to replace one? Thank you.
I usually replace mine every 9 months or so. Lots of love xoxo
I think you look fantastic! Thanks for this video! I have been wondering what it was and how to do it. Just got mine! Wish me luck!
I've seen other RUclipsrs apply a serum to the face first, then dermaroll, then they reapply hydacaulic acid or retinol serum
So my question, do I need to keep the area moisturized? Does the face scab?
The face doesn't scab at least not using the sizes I use (0.25 and a 0.5 mm) you can apply any skin care you like before or after rolling. I would just avoid ones that sting the skin like glycolic products or some vitamin c products. Moisturizing is fine to do especially if you feel like your skin needs it. xoxo
Ann I can't find where u buy the derma roller where do I go thank u
I get mine from skin deva website and also from amazon. I just use the 192 needles in the 0.25mm or the 0.5mm size. I hope this helps! xoxo
