Every time I watch your videos It reminds me of my cousin here in the US. He's from england he's been here about 20 years. You sound just like him lol
Great video. I just did a transmission steel pan replacement without taking the cross bar off, you need to shimmy the steel in and then gently slide the gasket over the top. However you do need 90 degree bent torx tools. Found that the old plastic filter magnets had a lot of fine metal.
Excellent guys, thank you. I am tempted to have a go myself because of your video
Go on have a go - take you time and dont rush - its not too tricky.
Allways nice videos !
Very detailled and useful. Thanks
Brilliant!! Thank you.
Is it possible for bad or low gearbox oil to cause gears to slip whilst driving?
Also can this sum being fitted on a 8 speed version, if not any idea?
could you attach a suction transfer pump to where you opened the pipe and suck it empty?
When exactly should I support the gearbox? First support gearbox then unbolt and remove the cross bar and then lift a bit? How much? So basicaly 4 questions :P Thanks for support :) EDIT: Are you sure there is no way to remove plastic pan with build up filter without rising? Maybe cutting it gently with dremel? :DD
I understand you did a video on how to change the timing belt on tdv6 LR3. And you made some special tools to do the job. Do you still have the video on RUclips? I like to watch it again and possibly order the tools. Please assist.
Hi, have you got a link to re fill the transmition oil to the proper level ?
meant to add ..prior to opening the sump
great videos from you guys, so how much oil did you remove and did it make any diffrence? ps ive bought same sump kit etc
Sorry I cannot recall the oil removed but it did improve MPG and gear change.
Great video!Im having trouble installing the new samp. The filter which is supposed to go into the hole is almost impossible to do so
Did you buy the new conversion sump ?
How did you get the back screws out ? I’m having troubles with that now. And what if I’m using back the same pan ? How would I get it off ?
Hi you need to lower the cross member to reuse the pan - not a good idea - buy a new pan !
You do not show how to fix the new oil filter
How does water enter d gear box
Is it easy to remove the engine sump on an LR 3 2005 ??
How to fix the fliter
What size hex bit was the plug?
Trying to find the same info 👍🏻
do you by any chance just sell the sump pan gasket by its self
Sorry we dont sell just the gasket
I need to do this, I think my system has a leak
Better off hooking up to the proper machine to pump fluid through... If it works, because engine/transmission not running.
Bumbaaa clattt
?
Best to have a fortron machine auto gearbox oil change instead as it removes 99% of the oil compared to around 60% by doing it manually. Approx capacity of gearbox is 11 litres if going the fortron machine method. My r.rover sport 3.0 tdv6 ran far better after.
Totally agree with you these "flush" systems are a good job !
What a bloody headache to get at it 🙄
Hey guys, almost two years ago, but still nog LR3 to LR4 conversion video in spite of all the promises... :( not cool...
