    Amazing video Mate, now I have the confidence in servicing the diffs of my 2016 Disco 4 without spending fortune at the dealership.

    great video, gives me real confidence to do this preventative maintenance task my self.
    One thing I was told by friends who own discos before buying my 2007 D3, keep up the maintenance and you will have a great car that will take you all the places you want to go.

      Nice one dude thanks for watching my vids
      One thing I didn't mention is that u should toque the main cv nut to 250nm to ensure the hub has the correct preload on it

    Great video. What thread sealant did you use?

    • @OUTBACKDiscovery
      @OUTBACKDiscovery  7 месяцев назад

      That was high pressure locative thread sealant
      But for stuff like that even thread rape would workn

    Hi there and greetings from Costa Rica...A question for you ..I just did the oil change to my Disco ..the filling plug of the front dif . I was screwing the plug back but it feels like it is just going straight in...is there a stop internally? I'm afraid it can just continue and end up inside. Thank you in advance for your help

    • @OUTBACKDiscovery
      @OUTBACKDiscovery  2 года назад +1

      Hey Gil
      Normally the plug will sit flush with the diff possibly protrude a little bit as there is a slight taper on the thread
      Your fillplug has probly been over tightend previously, I would just pull it out put some thread sealant on and screw it in flush
      How far in does it screw in currently

      @@OUTBACKDiscovery Hi again..It is going too deep in ..I did the rear one and got in to a point where you can feel that you are actually getting to an end..but this front one feels like is just going all the way in...that is what I am afraid of...

    • @OUTBACKDiscovery
      @OUTBACKDiscovery  2 года назад +1

      @@gilcalvo2784 I would just put thread sealant on it and screw it in the same as the rear and then order a new plug
