Interesting topics. Any idea what motor size and esc to use to convert a 20cc airplane to electric (I assume it would be 6S), or how to work out the conversion electric power required. Thanks
So you also let the smoke out of Hydra esc's 😂. Local people thought it was fog on my lake but no, as the song goes...Smoke on the water Fire in the sky (if you were there at the right time). You are making me wonder if I should pull my old outrigger off the wall. Thanks for all the knowledge that you share. You are one of the guys that keep me doing speed runs with rc cars but we both seem to come from similar rc backgrounds.
Kindly I am using a tp 4080 2080kv motor with the xlx2 and I made a cap pack with five capacitors of 35v 4,700 m f each, and I am using 6s 6amps 100c battery. I tried to check the ripple voltage on the data log and I think it is around 0.4 volts! Do you think that I need to change the capacitors or remove the cap pack completely because it doesn't need it? Thanks for your videos because they are quite interesting and educational.
XLX2 is Good Yes, but depends on your setup. If you are not intending for a 1/5 scale car then mamba monster X 8 S is far much the best to go because it is light weight and very powerful.
Great info, thanks for the video!

Less than 5% is good!
If you don’t have the Castle link, is there another way to check Ripple?
The castle link is free. I sent in a code and they shipped it to me.
What do you think of the mamba monster x 8s?
Good ESC but no XLX2.

Where can i find them
Ask your local supplier that carries castle ESCs
At least this time when it catches fire it will already be in water.
