Perfectly fine to have in your hold luggage.
No trouble, it's a boxed kitchen knife, as long as it's in the hold luggage and secure it'll be alright.
As Bish said, just post it back, nothing illegal about owning it in the UK so posting it to your house wouldn't be a problem.

The staff of this place is so friendly and outgoing.
If you come to Switzerland, visit Pizzeria Frumento in Biasca (Piazza Centrale 2, 6710, Tessin), they have a huge pizza challange and it's still undefeated!! Only you can do it!!! It's managed by an italian cook and they make really yummy stuff 😋😋

That knife that you get if you win, if its made (which it looks like it is) with high quality materials could easily sell for $300-400, along with the free food/drink for a month and the other prizes this has to be one of the most generous rewards I've seen!

You should really try the Ljubljanska at "Da Gianni" in Gorizia, Italy. It's fairly close to Austria.
It's not even a challenge, it's just a place known for the insane portions.
This was no challenge for you. You ate the “Public House” 10LB burger that was bigger than this by far. It had 3x the size of meat and the bun was replaced with whole pizzas.. this was nothing to you 😂
