Do you prefer the black or silver camera? Also, I'd like to see a demonstration of how to clean a Leica sensor properly. Thanks for the great videos, Math!
Thanks for this ... but it's only a digital camera. I had the same unboxing experience with the purchase of a new Leica M-A. The quality assurance with signatures are important for me, because the rangefinder was inaccurate from 'day-one', fresh out of the beautiful, fancy packaging.
Thank you very much for producing and uploading this interesting review and for leaving out an underlying music background track, something that is so common nowadays but highly annoying to me. I can't help but think that engraved dials on top of this camera would have been a better solution. This would have simplified operations. There is a lot of fumbling through screen reliant menus which would take away the joy of purer photography for me. Learning that you also own the Q2, would you agree with my sentiment?
@@mathphotographer Nothing against using the grip ☺️ I like using the grip myself. More or less something about Leica, not considering the grip would turn the "Bauhaus" into a "uhaus" ... they could have moved the "Bauhaus" closer to the lens mount... AND curious that they still don't offer a silver grip... so you have to use the black one on your silver limited edition camera :P
Putting the bauhaus name so prominently on the front of the camera kind of goes against the bauhaus approach... 🙄 Destroys the otherwise nice minimal design.
Oh No. You destroyed the outer box which was worth at least 100 Euro! I always admire Leica's ability to create value out of thin air. My CL is just an ordinary one with black body. Guess yours would shoot better than mine.
lovely camera, and also nice watch! Any follow up on the camera? How does it compare in terms of IQ to your Q2 or M10?
Very well presented. Keep it up.
The black dot on the silver CL aesthetically looks lovely. I’ve put one on my CL to replicate the Bauhaus edition/addition.
Yeah, I hadn't been so impressed with the CL aesthetic, but it looks far better with the matte silver and the black dot.
I like the black dot a lot ... hope to see more of that design details from Leica :)
Really? would appreciate a link where you got one and how you replaced it, thanks and regards.
Hi may i know where did u ordered the leica black dot for CL ya?

so did this just go back in the box and back on the shelf? did you ever take it out shooting?

Never had an inaccurate rangefinder on my M4, M5, M8 and 9-P...

Why did you destroy the outer shell?
In my glass cupboard it shines, outside I sometimes decide to protect special edition Leicas :)
I very visibly cringed when I saw him rip open a numbered outer box!!!! WTF, WHY!?!?!
Why doesn’t Leica make an SL2 for photographers without all the video baggage? or a Q3 with interchangeable lenses?
Does Leica have any grants for artist that may not be able to afford this camera ?
Does this mode layout isn’t as fun as the traditional Leica M/Q analog control with dedicated dial layout?
I like the black Leica dot a lot ... sometimes something different is refreshing :)
Is Sigma making the TL lenses for the Leica CL?
Yes. I am going to buy the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 L mount for this lovely toy.
@@cfagil did you buy it? How is it? Does the lens extend out a lot? How does it compare to the sigma prime lenses? Thanks
That outer cardboard box was probably worth £50.
I would say £100.
Shame that the grip covers up part of the Bauhaus text.
Fully agree - but I am always afraid I let the camera slip if do not have the grip since I am not using camera straps around my neck.

Why so sour?
