You do this like it’s just another walk in the park. I drive a 2016 6.7 ram and would love to be able to do all my work because finding a good honest person is tough.

I have a 2003 RAM2500 with the 5.9 Cummins, all stock with 182k miles. I had a slight leak from rocker box, dripping down rear of engine onto transmission. Not bad, but I resolved by removing the valve cover, and retorque the rocker box too 25lb. NO MORE LEAKS, place valve cover back onto rocker, with a light film of RTV with same VC gasket that looked fine. No leaks. 195k miles since the job, still no leaking from rocker box or valve gasket.

Pulled 30k each day? Which rear diff ratio? If a 3.73 isn't 12,950 pounds max, and 4.11 about 19,900 around max trailer weight? How did you go over the scales? Just wondering. Am I missing something? Thanks!

About to tackle this project myself, did you disconnect the batteries to remove the wires on the injectors? Couldn’t tell by the video, but awesome to have a guide out there that explains everything!

If this gasket rolls will it cover the underside of the truck if its at the rear? That ccv filter has a service life of I think 70k when it plugs it can blow seals about to deal with same issue I think

Hey man, I have a 2012 Ram 3500 cummins dually 4x4. I just bought about 5 months ago
I changed the oil about a month ago and noticed there was too much oil, I thought ok the guy before me overfilled it maybe. Well, 2 weeks after I changed the oil my rear main seal blew out. I checked the oil and it was FAR past the full line. I mean onto the dipstick wire itself. I drained about 7 freaking gallons of fuel/oil mix out of the engine. I pulled the valve cover off and I don’t see anything too obvious. Engine runs great, no codes on my snap on scanner. I have no idea what it is

The first thing I would check for is a blown O-ring on one of the injectors. You can do this by starting the truck and looking for diesel pumping up around an injector or remove the injectors and inspect the o ring.

Just swapped my #5 injector out, replaced the harness/gasket as well. A few days later I noticed I had oil leaking from the rear of the rocker box. Difficult to determine the exact source as there's no room to see back there. I also noticed my fuel economy started to suffer. Does anyone have any experience with anything like this? I'm going to go back and remove the valve cover and inspect all the surfaces/gasket material to see if that might be an issue, and try running it with the cover off to see of there's fuel blowing back up by the #5 injector.

Hello cincy how are you? I have a 2004 ford f250 it drives well but you never know when it will shut off on you when your driving on the freeway. This only happens when I put gas on it

How long before it starts back up? Does it act like it's running out of fuel when it dies?

@@cincydieselrepair6893 when it dies we try to turn it on twice until the third time it turns on and it starts driving again and yes it acts like it runs out of gas

I would check your fuel pressure under load. The tank screens may be plugged up. Diesel Tech Ron has a good video how to do this.
